the staff is not so friendly. We had asked for a room with a view and we've got a room in the building without terrace, no view at all. Everything is clinical white painted...not so cosy and it's not maintained. Too expensive for what you get.
If I could have given this hotel 10 stars I would have. The location was absolutely the best (walking distance to many restaurants and conveniences and I was able to comfortably walk to Queen Emma Bridge everyday), the hotel was beautifully designed, the food and the service was fantastic and the facilities was spotlessly clean. The best of all is the hospitality of the staff. I unfortunately fractured my shoulder in an ATV accident during my visit to Curacao and the hotel staff provided me with so much help, care and concern to treat my wounds and to organise my doctor visit. The service was priceless and I would recommend to anyone I know to visit here.
Booked this resort last minute with my wife and it was beautiful resort with a great view of the ocean. Room was nice and comfortable. The mojitos were very good and the view was everything we needed for a short trip. Planning a longer trip back this Spring.
Spent 10 wonderful nights in Curacao staying at the Saint Tropez Hotel & Ocean Suites. We stayed in an oceanfront suite above the restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the room was beautiful. Yes it is loud on Friday night but not a problem! Reception was excellent and always there to answer any questions you might have. Ate at the restaurant a few times, service and food was excellent. Attended the Christmas Eve Buffet which included live entertainment & dancing! Nathan our bartender was very attentive and courteous. Would definitely return to the Saint Tropez and highly recommend it. Also the location is excellent, close to walk to the pontoon bridge and many excellent restaurants to choose from all within walking distance.
So I researched extensively and decided on Saint Tropez based on a few criteria - we decided that rather than be in driving distance to the restaurants, we wanted to walk to dinner (and have a few drinks) and we would rent a car to get around to the beaches and diving. We took a room with a full seaview and a balcony, which is a great way to start the day. The pool/restaurant also have an amazing ocean view. Couple notes: - The room itself was fine but not luxurious, and the maid service did the basics everyday. But on the last day, we did find a cockroach in the room!! - Reception is only open during business hours, so don't expect hotel concierge service. This was fine for us as I had done all my research in adcance and only used the staff for restaurant orders and clean beach towels (which they changed at any hour) - The hotel does not have beach access. The pool sits on a rocky cliff so you can't enter the ocean directly from here but the view is great. Easy to drive over to the beach though. - There is no on site parking but parking in front of the hotel every night was not a problem at all. There is a security guard outside too and he gets to know you, so he watches over the cars. We didn't leave anything in the vehicle and had no problems. - In terms of noise, we didn't have major issues except for Friday night. The hotel bar has a party on friday night so if you have a oceanview and are on top of the restaurant, you will hear loud music until 1am. This was the only night we experienced this though. So overall, we were happy with our choice - but we were not the type to just spend the day at the hotel. If you want this, go with a resort. If you are like us and out diving everyday, it's perfect. We really only spent one or two days at the pool/bar/restaurant, but appreciated being able to walk to dinner each night and waking up to the ocean view. Admittedly, the cockroach in the room has left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth so that may have dropped my rating a bit here.…
