My husband and I just stayed here for 5 nights and had the most amazing time. The hotel is about 20 minutes from the airport so a very quick taxi ride (which St Tropez coordinated for us). Upon arriving to the property (an hour earlier than check in) we were told our room was still being cleaned but they would get to it promptly and they were true to their word. We chose to dine at their on site restaurant as we waited for our room and were approached within 20 minutes by the front desk that our room was ready. Our Junior Suite Ocean Front King room with balcony was located on the corner of the third floor with absolutely breathtaking side and front ocean views (balcony was furnished with a couch, end table as well as a table with 2 chairs) The room was very stylishly decorated with floor to ceiling windows, sliding door and was very spacious. There was also a separate smaller room with a twin bed and closet with safe, iron and hair dryer. The bathroom had a single bowl sink with very limited counter space (but we had no problem using the wall unit in living room to store all our toiletries, etc). The walk in shower had a rain shower head as well as hand held sprayer...slick floors but manageable. Shower gel dispenser in the shower as well as the sink. Shampoo and conditioners are very small, so I would recommend brining your own or asking for additional from housekeeping. Friday nights can be a little loud since its DJ night at restaurant below but not too loud for us to get a good night sleep (and had we not been so tired with Friday being our early travel day it would have been fun to sip some cocktails at the bar and enjoy the music). Otherwise it was very quiet in our room (other than the amazing sound of waves whenever we opened the sliding door). The stairs to the room are spiral stairs (and no elevator that we're aware of) so for anyone who struggles with stairs, this 3rd floor room would not be ideal. As for the location of the hotel, it's close to plenty of restaurants as well as shopping in town (if you're ok with walking). There are sidewalks but some very narrow at times but easy enough to navigate. Also, we always felt safe during the day as well as night walking to and from town. The staff at the hotel was always so accommodating with arranging taxis as well as providing any asisstance as needed, and always so very pleasant (especially the hotel manager, Sharline). The property and pool area are as beautiful in person as in any pictures we've seen with amazing ocean views. If however you are hoping to enjoy some beach lounging you'll need to either taxi (or drive) to one of the amazing beaches on the island since there is no beach access on the property. Otherwise you can make the best of the pool and comfortable lounging areas. We were so very sad that our vacation and stay at St Tropez has come to an end, but we're already starting to plan our next stay since it was so incredible.

My husband and I travel throughout the world and have never encountered such an unpleasant boutique hotel experience as St Tropez. Initially when we checked in we were thrilled with the location, warm welcome, excellent lunch etc. Everything changed when we attempted to retire around 10 pm. We arrived on a Monday and experienced problems the first night. Three of the five nights we were unable to sleep due to the loud bass/music thumping and blaring from the bar below our room. Two and a half hours later the music finally stopped (around 12:30 am). We spoke to the hotel manager the following day and she apologized and said it should not have happened. On Wednesday evening the same problems occurred and my husband went down after midnight to complain. Shortly after they turned down the volume. The following day we spoke to the manager and again she was very apologetic and said this should not happen. She comped us breakfast and two bar drinks. Our final evening (tonight) the music is so loud, bass is turned up so high that we cannot sleep & the glasses on top of our mini fridge are rattling. We have been told the music won’t stop until 1:00 am. There is no regard for the hotel guest. This bar scene is a shi@$storm, lacking class and sophistication.

Pros: • Friendly staff • Large, stylish room • Our room was spacious • Hip restaurant with good food • Nicely located – very close to a great café (La Reina), close to scuba shops, and a short walk to the main downtown area • Very comfortable bed Cons: • There was a bit of a sewer or some sort of smell in that building, which I would assume that it was addressed shortly after our visit. They seem to be on top of their maintenance there.

The room was great and the food was amazing. It is located near lots of restaurants and close enough to downtown to walk there and back. The owners are on sight most days and the staff is so happy which makes it a fun place to be. They do a really good job.

This was our first in Curacao so we spent a few nights on Mambo Beach then switched over to this hotel. It is a beautiful location. The view from our suite was so beautiful. The infinity pool right oceanfront is such a great way to spend the day! Location is everything. We walked to Punda & Otrobanda from here. Really great restaurants around this hotel as well. They have a great oceanfront bar and restaurant as well. We only had drinks here!

I really enjoyed the vibe of this hotel. It was sexy with great views. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I was greeted with free drink tickets and information about the hotel and the area. I had the Deluxe King Ocean View with Balcony and I loved every minute of it. A lot of the time I just sat on the balcony (which is the length of the room) and looked out at the sea and listened to the water. I slept with the curtains open and the view I had when I opened my eyes int he morning made me not want to get out of bed. Every morning I was greeted by Roderick in the bar cafe for breakfast. He always had a big smile and made sure I had a table with a great view. All of the staff were nice and accommodating. I mentioned that it was my birthday during booking and when I got to my room they had decorated with balloons and towel art. The room was clean and comfortable. I loved the fact that is was a small hotel, it's personal and intimate. I never had an issue getting a lounger at the pool which was awesome! One thing to note about the pool is the shallow end is fairly deep at about 4.5 feet or so (maybe more). I'm just shy of 6 feet and when I got into the shallow end of the pool, I was already in chest deep. The deep end was about 5.5 feet or so (I didn't see any markers). The location is great as it is walking distance to all the cool restaurants in the Pietermaai district, its also only about a 10 minute walk into downtown Willemstad. I don't have anything negative to say about this hotel, I absolutely loved it and plan on staying there on my next trip but there are a few things to know before you book. 1. There is no elevator and the staircase is winding and kind of tight. The staff arranged to have my bags in my room but when I checked in, but it was a little awkward trying to get down the stairs with luggage at check out. I probably could have asked staff to help with my bags but I didn't. If you think you will have an issue with the stairs you need to request to stay on the first floor. 2. Although the hotel is water front, There is no beach, this isn't unusual for hotels on this side of the island. You will have great views of the Carribbean Sea and may even see Venezuela off in the distance. Again...the pool was everything and I didn't really miss the beach. Mambo beach isn't far away and there is a shuttle that stops in front of the hotel that will take you there for $2 or $3 3. Their desk isn't open 24 hours, The staff at the front desk leaves at 9 on weekdays and 5 on weekends. I never had any issue that would require contacting the desk so this wasn't problem. 4. If you are traveling from the US, you will need to bring your own wash cloths if you use them as the hotel only has hand and body towels (typical for European hotels). 5. If you are there on a Friday, know that they have a happy hour with a DJ that goes until about 1am. If you have an ocean view room the music will be pretty loud. Again, this didn't bother me as I was already aware of it. I attended happy hour and then went to sit on my balcony and listened to the music. If I could make one suggestion to the hotel it would be to put loungers on the balcony. The breeze, shade and sound of the water crashing into the rocks were wonderful! I would have loved to have dozed off and taken a nap out there.

On this Saturday night, we arrived at 23:15 for some drinks. We were not welcomed at all an the first thing being said to us was: we don’t have cocktails anymore , only wine and beer. This was not because the cocktails where out of stock, just because they wanted to close off quickly ( we assumed). 15 minutes later, we were not helped by the waiter to order another drink. We walked to one of the waiters to order a bottle of the AIX rosé. After 10 minutes we received the rose, the wine glasses were still hot and we did not get to taste the wine first before pouring it in the glasses. 5 minutes later, after 2 sips of wine, we got the bill. The waitress told us that she is just already giving us the bill for later. We found this very unwelcoming again. At 23:45, the music went off and they started cleaning everything whilst they were still guests in the restaurant. At 00:00 they asked us if we could move off our table and finish our expensive wine at the bar, because they wanted to clean our table already. Then she told us we could stay seated after all, but with the pinmachine already in her hand to make us pay while we were still enjoying our first glass of wine. We felt betrayed and decided to move to the bar. While I was walking to bar the waitress said she could give me a plastic cup for my wine so I could drink my wine at home. This is the rudest way to send people out of your restaurant and make them never want to visit again. So please for the manager/ supervisor that will be reading this, train your staff!!
