We have visited many Caribbean Islands, but have never been more welcome nor enjoyed the visits as much as our stay with Diana and Martin our hosts at the Hibiscus. The entire property is covered with green, palms and flowering bushes. The day began with a lovely breakfast on a shaded patio including fresh fruit juices, new baked treats each morning, scrambled eggs, meats, cheeses , assorted fruits and numerous cups of coffee! The big smiles and helpful manner that it was served with set the tone for the day. Jan Thiel beach is a 5 minute walk from the property, public bus stop a few steps away ( easy access to all points on the island), super market a few blocks away ( to fill the refrigerators in each room). Most helpful were the excellent tips Diana and Martin gave on how to best enjoy the island. This wonderful source of information made it comfortable and we were able to enjoy places and restaurants we would not have known about on our first visit to Curacao. It is great to be able to drink the water, be in a safe environment and have the use of Diana and Martins cars to tour on our own to areas on the northern part of the island. The public bus is an easy way to travel to Willemstead which is wonderful to visit with many sights and restaurants. The beautiful, blue waters of the 35 beaches on the island are great for relaxing and snorkeling. The water is calm and clear and we saw many small fish . We can't wait to return to the Hibiscus!

The idea of a B&B is that your hosts become part of your overall "stay experience" and that was the case here, in every positive way. Diana was warm, accomodating and extremely helpful - the moment she realized that we were looking to explore the island on our own, she helped us find a local car rental (review to come), outlined the best beaches to visit, recommended times for hikes and Martin helped with recommendations for local eateries and where to hang out when we needed a break from more touristy areas. While we did have our guidebook and access to WiFi (strong and plentiful at the house), it's always better to get advice from a local. Both Diana and Martin helped make our stay even better than it was (and Curacao is now on my top 5 "must revisit" list) The rooms were clean, comfortable and had all the ammenities for a good nights sleep in a warm clime (air conditioning for those who like it...like myself, and a mosquito net for those who prefer a balmy evening without insect visitors). The breakfast was filling and the coffee delicious, and the location IMHO is a perfect place to base ones stay if you're coming to explore vs. just go diving (we were the former). Highly recommend!

Location is very good. Your close to everything. You can walk within 5 minutes to a nice beach where you'll find everything. They are very helpful with any enquirers and they give you tips on what to see and do in the area. Their house is a little oasis where you also can unwind and relax in the garden. Our room was at the pool side. It's very nice and clean. The breakfast is great every morning. Specially the smoothies they make every morning. We give all the best recommendations to them.

We stayed at this wonderful bed and breakfast for two nights. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The grounds are beautiful. The owners are very friendly and gave us lots of advise on what places to visit during our first stay on Curacao. The back yard is a little oasis with pool and lots of room to lounge. I would recommend this place to anybody.
