The Scubalodge is the premier ocean front boutique hotel in Curacao. Made of in total 5 monumental buildings, every room and apartment are different! And so is the staff! With a very relaxed and personal atmosphere guests are like staying with friends! Relax in one of the two swimming pools, in the ocean in our house riff and enjoy a cocktail at the Ocean Bar. Scubalodge has a PADI Dive School and shop and the well known breakfast basket and weekly barbecue! Laid in the "quartier Latin" of Curacao, many restaurants and bars are walking distance, as is the city centre, the cruise terminal and all musea and shopping center. Explore the real Curacao in Otrabanda, the "pontjes brug" and the fruit and local market. Or take your rental car and explore the Island and all of its 70 beaches!!! Scubalodge, welcome!

It's been a long time since I have experienced such excellent customer service from any business I've ever dealt with! I was thorougly impressed by the owners and their entire staff. (My jaw still drops when I think about how well we were treated!) From the minute we arrived until the minute we left, the staff at Scuba Lodge were helpful, attentive, and accomodating. They always had a smile and never made us feel like we were "putting them out". They made dinner reservations for us, arranged for a cab to the airport, let me use their internet and printer for boarding passes, etc. You name it, they were happy to accomodate. Their "beach" area was extremely peaceful. I think everyone there wanted to have a nice, quiet vacation, too. Everyone seemed to respect everyone

After vacationing in Aruba for five days, my boyfriend and I took a weekend trip to Curacao before heading back to San Francisco. We were not at all fond of Aruba and were expecting the same in Curacao, and at that point before getting on the flight, just wanted to go home. Boy were we wrong! The minute we landed and ventured out in our rental car, we were amazing by the beauty of the island, water and beaches. And all this before we got to Willemstad and the Scuba Lodge. The town of Willemstad is so quaint with amazing architecture, vibrant culture and no tourists! We were not expecting such charm. And then we arrived at the Scuba Lodge. We thought we'd died and gone to heaven after a not so wonderful trip to Aruba. The service at the Scuba Lodge is superb. Harold and

Scuba Lodge is located a ten-minute walk from the restaurants and shopping of central Willemstad. There is no reason to rent a car. With only 14 units and six gregarious Dutch staff members, it is the perfect alternative to the mega-resorts that attract most American tourists. The Lodge offers a narrow access to the ocean and divers can launch themselves off a concrete platform just steps from their unit. As the name suggests, the Lodge is well equipped to serve divers, renting all necessary equipment and providing transportation to various dive sites. The compact rooms are clean and quiet. A great buy on a splendid island. Jim and Julie, Chico, California

Just returned from 3 nights in Curacao. My husband & I purposely chose not to stay in an American style resort in the downtown cruise ship area. We wanted more of a the real island feel. We found perfection at The Scuba Lodge. This is a small boutique style hotel right on the ocean & an easy walk into Willemstad. The hotel is an old building that has been beautifully renovated into a modern space. The room was lovely, the airconditioning divine, the intimate bar just right, the staff incredible and the owner wonderful. Each day we ordered the breakfast basket ($9/person) and ate outside enjoying the view & the company of guests & sometimes the owner, Caroline. She gave us so much great information. We dined at a few recommended restaurants & loved them. We rented a car

We stayed in this small family run hotel for a week. The hotel has a very laid back Dutch atmosphere (The majority of the staff is Dutch). Don't come here for amazing looking rooms, pools or sandy beaches. Come here for very friendly personal staff (with lots of knowledge of the island), cheap diving (it's in the name) and very good local restaurants in the vicinity (the staff can direct you). Ideal if you want to explore the island, dive and enjoy Willemstad and it's excellend local restaurants The hotel is located in the Pietermaai, near Punda. The area is a little run down, but a lot of development takes place and it is suppose to become the new "latin quarter" of Willemstad. It's small (about 20 rooms) and it has diving written all over it. The hotel has a very small beach
