The location is ideal for us. It is close enough to downtown that we can get to the shops and restaurants easily, but far enough that we don't get the noise and traffic. It is also very good for snorkeling. We saw bigger and more variety of fish by the rocks than what we saw on our excursion to the tugboat. The only issue we had was seeing all the abandoned houses in ruins as we walked from the hotel to other places, but this really isn't the hotel's problem. We will definitely stay here again.

Top location, clean rooms, great beds, from your room in 1 minute on the beach. Good beachbeds and enough shade, two great restaurants( Blues and Pen) two beach/pool bars and and terrace in the shade. Beautiful gardens around the hotel. Enough other restaurants on walking distance of the hotel. Hotel bus into town twice a day free of charge. Free parking in front of the hotel Friendly staff.

I’d like to thank the Avila staff for the amazing experience. We were celebrating my girlfriends’ birthday and the special arrangements were Heartily received. We’d also like to thank you for the amazing surprise afterward with the nice artwork (nicely folded towels in the form of 2 swans) that we found when we returned to the bedroom after the romantic dinner. This is the first time we’ve had a “staycation” as it is called. If it was not for the language, we would think we were in another country. Once again, a special thanks to all the staff that made our stay special and gave us this memorable experience. Saludos, Elton en Chee-Wah
