Lovely location and great facilities within the hotel and grounds. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Beach was a very short walk away and easy to swim in. Lots of room in the restaurants and did not need to book or queue. Definitely glad that we chose this hotel.

My wife and I travel last December to Varadero for Christmas holidays and part of the great trip as usual we took the chance to spend 4 days at Blau Varadero a hotel for adult tourism, our experience was great very nice hotel and beautiful beach. The weather trick us a bit but thats the tropics and even though Cuba always have more for you to see and do. The people at the hotel was more than accommodating and explain any of our requests and questions. Clean room, great view nice food what else you need to come back to Canada and start working full of energy and happiness. We are thinking and planing already to go back this year if COVID allow us to do it as soon as possible because we can be wrong going back to paradise.

Virgin call this a luxury hotel. It is NOT. It is shabby, with terribly damaged, dirty and basic rooms. The local rep was completely useless and uninterested in sorting any problems. Complaining to Virgin whilst there and when we got home got a stonewall of "very sorry but we're not going to do anything about it". Last Virgin holiday I ever take - just appalling. Compared to the brochure description and images, it's borderline misrepresentation in my opinion... you have been warned!

I rated this a 5/5 so that everyone that only looks at the positive reviews would see this! This was the WORST resort I have ever been to! This was definitely NOT a 4.5 star hotel, I would give this hotel a solid 2 stars! Please do not waste your money here! The majority of the staff had horrible attitudes! The rooms were dirty and unkept. The night time manager David had absolutely no idea what he was doing and offered little to no resolution for the issues we had. The two women at the public relations desk were terrible and it was funny to hear one of them call herself a Christian when she was nothing but satanic. The room we got came with two beds, two beers, two colas but only one water bottle and when I asked for an additional water, they told us no “only one water per day” even though this is an “all-inclusive” resort. The food wasn’t the best, the rice was uncooked everyday I was there and the vegetables were over cooked. The desserts were disgusting and aside from the eggs and bacon the breakfast was seriously lacking. The servers were friendly and made the place a little more bearable but this resort is extremely outdated and is in serious need of a full body makeover, especially considering what they charge. I was bored to tears as there was nothing going on and little to no entertainment being offered. The only good thing about this place was the beach! Please do not waste your hard earned money here, you all deserve better! & to the management please do not respond to my review with fake apologies and lies to do better, actions speak louder than words!
