Amazing experience! We feel like we are in heaven. Great people, fantastic beaches, good food! We still have another week and look forward to our excursions. Totally relaxing vacation. Love the cuban people ❤️
Everything was as we expected. 5 stars beach 5 stars staff (cheers Yayo) With Covid and the embargo the buffet was limited but there was always something good. Hilltop restaurant was great, the Japanese restaurant won it for us because of their amazing staff (cheers to Amed) . Rooms are old but clean. Overall 5 stars for Cuba!
Spent a fabulous week at this hotel. The staff are so helpful and friendly. The a la carts are all fabulous but, the one that stands out is the Japanese restaurant the food was extraordinary and the chef Rafael is so much fun and so talented. Yuri was so helpful and always making sure we would want for nothing. The cleaning staff did a great job all week. The bartenders all over the resort did the best they could and each one has their specialty. We can't wait to go back again
We stayed at this resort for 2 weeks (Jan 19-Feb2) and had originally booked the regular side. After the first day, we decided to check out the Royal side and we're so impressed with it that we upgraded. We met our butler Leo, and he took care of us for the next 2 weeks. Leo did a fantastic job making our reservations and stopping by to say hello everyday. Thanks Leo!! We tried all of the restaurants on the resort , and were happy with the food. The Hilltop was delicious and the service was amazing! Thank you to our server Dianelis G. She was fantastic. The Miramar, Marseilles, Frienza and the Japanese were all very good, all with great service. The Port Royal for lunch was amazing! They had Cuban day with entertainment and delicious bbq. And the lunch ladies always had a smile. The Port Royal for dinner was a disappointment to us. The food was good. However, the service there was very poor. The pool on the Royal side was our favorite place to stop in for lunch, the BBQ was always delicious and the ladies there always had a smile. Thanks so much Annarays, Marlene, Ady and Belkis! You guys are the best:) And did I mention they made the BEST daiquiri? At night the Royal side lobby was nice to stop in for a delicious Piña Colada. Thanks to our server Yusmila, she always had a smile. Breakfast at the Miramar was always fantastic, our servers Yelaine and Diane were both amazing! We enjoyed our mornings there very much. As always the beach was beautiful and clean. Our room (on both sides) were clean and spacious. Always hot water. And the entertainment in the main part was ok. All in all our 2 week stay was very enjoyable, definitely more so on the Royal side. The main side could do with some maintenance. …
We just came back from a weeks vacation and it was amazing the staff I can’t say anything but amazing amazing!!!!! Teresa in the buffet you took great care! Yirenia in the Japanese restaurant absolutely amazing! Your smile lite up the Room! You made our dining experience so memorable we will not forget you! We travelled with family 6 in total and we all agree that everyone made our stay so enjoyable! Can’t wait to come back and to see Yirenia and Teresa again! Hasta Pronto!
Great activities on the beach and pool! Great nighttime shows! Entertainment was excellent ! All resort staff were positive and always friendly and smiling! Beach was beautiful! Lots of games and fun in the sun everyday! Mario and Giovanni in the lobby bar are great and quick servers! Orestes at the pool bar made perfect drinks and always happy to serve! Maday and Marlon were our beach bar favs!
Giovanni in the Lobby Bar was excellent. Quick and efficient and always had a warm smile. Ani in dinner reservations is wonderful. Her English was excellent and she was very helpful. Food was very good
We had a great time here, enjoyed the entertainers (Daniel and Llallo the most) who provided Yoga lessons and a history of Rum, with tastings!!! Thanks to Yaremis for the spanish lessons:). All the restaurant staff without exception were super, special mention to Magaly who makes the best omelettes, the people cleaning our rooms and all the other staff all over the resort who always had a friendly smile, and sometime a cute handmade souvenir from the landscapers.
please remember cuba is in a crisis & needs tourists more than ever before- there are shortages, there won’t be the food you are familiar with- but the people who work at this resort (and the people of cuba) are unmatched. If you can’t get along with cuban people YOU are the problem! leave your 5 star expectations at the door and remain humble & you will have an amazing experience. Take the tour to Havana, the jeep safari is a great day as well. SHOUTOUT to the entertainment staff- amazingly talented dancers and singers who truly put their best foot forward every night. SHOUTOUT to the rock bar day & night near building 6- Daylenne (loca lady 😉) you made my trip during the day time- we will miss you! thank you princesa del mar- viva la cuba! 🇨🇺
Very friendly, happy and helpful staff. Staff try hard to take care of guests. Stayed on the Royal side, quiet and not over crowded. The a la carts all have almost the same menu just with different sides, 1/2 lobster, pork, fish or sometimes chicken at some. No beef anywhere here. 24 hr snack bar was hit or miss of what they had or what they had left, hot dogs, pork burger, ham&cheese sandwich, sometimes with fries. I have been to Cuba before so didn’t expect the same food as at home but there definitely was a lot less of a variety then I remember from coming before. Drinks were made differently at each bar but not bad. No vodka available. The coffee and the bloody Mary’s were good at the energy bar in the morning. Also only in the evening they make a drink called Passion, which is tasty. The evening bar tenders are the best there. Tipping goes a long way, they appreciate it a lot. Beach and pools nice. Was able to get a chair still by 8-9am, where other resorts I’ve been to by then you were out of luck for a chair for the day. Mini bar in the room was only 2 beers. Paid the drink cart guy to try and get more beer but he left only 2 extra each day. First resort I’ve stayed at that the mini bar was so limited. Even the butler wasn’t able to arrange more beer to be left.…
