Our night at this hotel counts as one of my most memorable experiences. The rooftop bar is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been, with a 360-degree view of the ocean, an exquisite art deco bar, a dashing barman, a kindly old waiter and an excellent jazz band. As we were the only guests at the bar,... More

The grand estate of Irenee DuPont de Numours, built in 1929, and similar to the extravagant "summer homes" of Newport, RI. Right on the ocean, with opulent dining facilities, 18-hole golf course, and a bar/restaurant on top with spectacular views!

The former DuPont mansion perched on a rocky shoreline and surrounded by a golf curse is absolutely beautiful. We were fortunate enough to sit outside on the terrace overlooking the beach and the Caribbean. Service was attentive and friendly. Food prepared and presented by Chef Lima was world-class. People wanting to experience this level of luxury and ambiance are well... More

We were staying at Barcelo and came to Mansion Xanadu just to visit. Really beautiful place, well preserved and kept. We went to the bar on top floor, relaxing breeze and Mojito profesionally served. Strongly recommended and worth its 5 CUC price. The bar is the only place in Varadero that sells cigars on regular prices, not cheating. However their... More

We were staying at the Melia Varadero and this is an excellent destination to make when on a beach walk. It is an old mansion by the sea and has been done up for drinks and dinners, so a nice place to get refreshing drink if the weather is too hot. Worth a look.

Our tour group had drinks at the bar and lunch on the first floor of Mansion Xanadu. The upstairs views were spectacular and the beach was very nice as well. The exterior needs some work, but the interior of the former DuPont Mansion held up very well. Everyone in our group enjoyed the scenery and the lunch was very good.... More

A stroll down the beach at Las Americas was rewarded with this lovely building where we enjoyed the best cocktails we had during our stay in Cuba in their top floor bar. We also enjoyed a lovely sunset and a band playing good music. If you are in the area make sure you don't miss this gem.

Went there just to quick visit and drink a beer or two and it was really worth to do that. Spectacular views and the actual house has old fashioned charm. There are six unique rooms and a high quality restaurant. Highly recommended

We stayed here for 4 nights, in Rooms 222 and 225 with DB&B as a last minute choice on a visit to Varadero. The mansion is not so distinctive on the outside, (some re-painting is needed, but I had the impression that this was work in progress during our time there) but the interior is well preserved with dark wood...
