My experience was with room service, starting that the towels they put are not enough do not change them every day even if you put them inside the bathtub that is the system they have to know which to change. My stay was 4 days and from the second day I was saying how insufficient the towels were and because they did not listen to me, nor did they put me clean or what I needed, I said it in folder, also to the maids I found in my flat that went to more than 1 and was on 2 occasions. Even of the 3 rooms we had there were 1 we received without towels, but they never saw that because when they delivered the room they could not open it and did not solve it, they left us the key and left for us to solve it we therefore did not see what was in the room.

Cuba was the first holiday. After studying the reviews (the main cons) and taking into account the experience of acquaintances, expected the worst, but were generally satisfied with the rest. The weather. At the outset, I want to say that December was not the best month for holidays in Cuba. Bad luck with the weather. Of the 11 days, only two to three days had a green flag on the beach and were allowed to swim in the ocean. Beach. The beach is clean, beautiful, there are plenty of sunbeds, no questions asked. The only scary thing was the jellyfish in the sand for days. Hotel. The quality of the hotel corresponds to its price. Rooms are cozy, spacious. The property is large and all green. The food is monotonous, but there was always food and a choice (the meat is mostly chicken, but sometimes there was beef and pork). There were 2 a la carte restaurants available by appointment (unlimited entry). We recommend you visit. Of the main downside of the hotel, you want to highlight only slow service, but you can blame it on the character of the Cubans. Also the hotel is very calm, quiet, a little boring. If you like to make noise, have fun, you won't find it here. This hotel is more suitable for retirees or people who want relaxation. For some, what is described can be a downside. Excursions. The only guided tour we bought at the hotel was a trip to Havana. It cost us $75 per person. And here we would like to advise against taking such a tour, as it is not worth its money in our view. Most of the tour will take the road to Havana. Visits to the main attractions will be in a hurry: the highest bridge - 15 min, the forest - 15 min, the old town - 1 hour with a guide with no combined time for independent walk, the main square - 15 min, lunch - 1 hour, a cigar and alcohol store - 1 hour and free time in the new Havana - only 1 hour. That is, if you want to really see and visit something in Havana, it is better not to take a tour, but to rent a car and drive yourself. It will also be an alternative option to buy a tour to Havana via the Internet (Instagram, telegram) - it will cost you twice as much.

I would go back in a heartbeat! The beach was perfect and the water was unbelievably warm and swimable, even for small children. The grounds and pool were well-kept and cleaned regularly. The shows were well done and unique (water ballet, magic show, etc.). The AC in the rooms was consistent and kept us nice and cool and I appreciated the mini fridge in the room. Beds were comfortable. They supplied us with a good amount of bottled water in the room. Service was good, but almost no fluent English-speaking workers (this is different from the last 2 times I went to Cuba - 2014 and 2019). There were always shaded lounge chairs available at the beach and it was never crowded. Food is simple and whatever is in season at the time -- I didn't know you could prepare pumpkin that many ways (ha ha). It was very, very peaceful.
It still was Cuba, though, so be prepared to manage your expectations. My first impression was "YIKES!" when we got there. There were 7 short power outages on the first day and the room was rustic at best -- dirty grout, dirty shower curtain, broken safe, broken bedside table, etc. Extra pillow in the closet was sour and moldy. Food was a bit of a situation since they almost always ran out of afternoon snacks (leftover sandwiches and pancakes). They ran out of Cola one day. No tea. My son found barbeque bristles in his pasta-- thankfully, he picked them out of his mouth and didn't swallow them. All of the other Canadian travelers we met had the same digestive issues as my family of 4 -- 2 days of frequent visits to the washroom. The positives definitely outweighed the negatives, though. We had a great vacation!!

Since May 1st 2023 the hotel chain of Be Live Experience have left Cuba. This hotel is now known by its original name of Villa Cuba Hotel or Hotel Villa Cuba. This is a hotel through all of the trials and tribulations of the past year which has plagued Cuba is still an outstanding hotel run by the best and most caring staff. There are difficulties and the biggest one is the elevators that have a mind of their own as to whether they will work or not. A word to anyone mobility challenged this may not be a perfect match. Saying that while we were there in April we saw 2 families who had family members in wheel chairs and some how they managed to get up and down. Once again the beach is spotless and tourists are helping by picking up after themselves. The gardens have never looked lovelier with flowers in bloom all over the gardens and the scents of them wonderful. The rum and beer was flowing and no shortages here. Eggs served every which way possible available at breakfast even crepes if one wanted to line up. Flour is in shortage but fresh breads and buns served at breakfast and lunch. No french fries, hot dogs and hamburgers but restaurant on the beach El Sitio ( maitre Ramon ) had a nice buffet and al la carte, pool bar Yoskiel and Taimey ) had sandwiches and omelet's to tempt everyone. Buffet at lunch had pasta's with all sorts of tempting sauces. The new director of the hotel is trying hard to make this hotel home to everyone encouraging repeaters to come out and enjoy events. A wonderful meet and greet at the pool bar with great music and dancing and cocktails to whet everyone pallet. ( thank you Dania and Madelyn for arranging that event ) It was wonderful to talk to friends we have met over the years and listen to great Cuban music. The Canadian dinner was delicious and served perfectly. New entertainer sang beautifully. The lobby coffee bar is a great place to meet and plan the day. And the lobby bar a great place to just relax before or after dinner having a wonderfully prepared cocktail. Thank you Corso, Evidio and Gordeio. Yes, its an old hotel 1997 and it has some issue's but the people of Cuba, the beach, the gardens we 4 are already planning 2025. Thank you one and all for a wonderful 2 weeks. Even the weather was perfect. gracias.

The hotel needs renovation and refreshment. Elevators are not working, stair ramps are unstable and dangerous. The buffet is VERY limited and the food is really not fresh. My spouse even broke a tooth eating rice. There was rock in this one.
Curtains are torn, lampshades are rusty and filled with mold. In short, let’s say we were disillusioned when we arrived at the Hotel. The juices are arch diluted so not good... Some rooms don't have toilet paper, our safe hasn't worked all week and we had trouble with our card to get into the room all week. No welcome drink! We were a group of 25 who had booked at this hotel. If you don’t tip every time, the service is limited and you have the right to look stupid. Walk around with your toilet paper because there is no toilet paper in the open air. Soap in the bathrooms is non-existent... even next to the kitchens. Some rooms have no hot water and others simply do not have a shower. Wi-Fi does not work in the rooms and it is intermittent.
The only positive aspects, the beach, the sun and some staff who are friendly and pleasant. The coffee bar is also good but the milk is powdered...

Unfortunately for both the staff and guests, this resort gives the appearance that it is increasingly being pushed out of business by its newer and more upscale neighbors and competitors along the same road.
Ideally, the Hotel Villa Cuba resort should actually be torn down and totally rebuilt from scratch, because the property and beach that it sits on are absolutely magnificent with huge raw potential to attract visitors for generations.
The old Varadero Tower also sits just across the road from the resort, which adds an interesting visual and historical ambience to the location that could also potentially be leveraged one day.
This review will be kept short, as there are too many details to cover, but in general, listed below are the key summary observations to note:
1) the Villa Cuba resort is considerably lacking in a lot of areas, including food, beverage, and restaurant options 2) the resort appears to be lacking in various supplies and amenities, both inside and outside of the guest rooms 3) the resort has various areas and objects that are aged and/or in a state of disrepair, both inside and outside of the guest rooms 4) some of the staff are heroically supportive, friendly and helpful, but some are understandably not at all enthused about working there 5) most of this resort's visiting clientele is now made up almost exclusively of Russian and native Cuban vacationers, with a few Canadians and occasional Germans, and almost no younger partier types 6) Internet Wi-Fi functionality is extremely unreliable for those seeking this kind of feature 7) the newest renovations built at this resort appear to be the bridge-style walkways that lead to accessing the beach area, and the fire extinguishers on each floor
Conclusion: There is much unlocked potential at this resort property, but the Villa Cuba resort itself in its current form won't justify even a nominal cost for most people to visit considering the range of more upscale competitor options in the immediate vicinity. One visits this resort coming away wishing they were personally wealthy enough to acquire it and rebuild it properly from the ground up, so that it could one day become a crown jewel and central point of interest and international attraction for the entire Varadero strip.

If you like cleanliness and quality stuff avoid this hotel. People is super nice but once they get to know your name and provide you good service they will request if you can give them clothes the sunglasses you are wearing shampoo soap money tips, and it happened with the people from the beach the pool the restaurant. There are some twin brothers who are the lifeguards and will sell Cuban pesos, but we didn’t change them since in Varadero people does not receive pesos (unlike in la habana) and one of them would ask us everyday to exchange money, it’s kind of annoying because you just want to rest I mean after it’s vacation. The food is the same everyday, I would recommend people to bring their salsas since there is not even ketchup. There is also no drinks besides sodas and cheap alcohol. I saw a foreigner couple who did not speak Spanish and everytime they would ask Diet Coke, they would get the sugary soda cola from Cuba, why weren’t they informed that there was not Diet Coke? The lady that received us in the counter did not inform us about the “amenities” or schedules or tours or general information, she was busy all the time talking by phone. The beach is amazing but I was actually prepared to be in a nice hotel and this is just an average hotel

This review is hotel Be live Las Morlas. But I would like to thank Dania from Hotel villa Cuba, passionate and helpful lady. Stayed at Las Morlas resort from Aug 6-13, group of 7: 3 kids and 4 adults. Diani from public relations made our experience a positive one because of her and Dania I am leaving this rating as 4. Hotel could do a lot of upgrades but the room we stayed in was big and beautiful with high ceiling and very comfortable, the AC works perfectly. Food was good there is always something new at the buffet. My favourite was the seafood risotto with lobster and the roast pork on Cuban day. The service staff: bartenders, servers, kitchen workers are all lovely and attentive serving with a smile on their faces special mention to Kari and Milagros at the pool bar. For what they have, they try their best with it. Entertainment could improve, only saying this because we found that they cater mostly to Italians, esp day time entertainers would be nice if they include all guests from different countries, you can see they value the other group more it’s apparent. The entertainers at night especially the 3 girls dancers they are exceptional!! We loved watching them every night. All in all it was a nice stay. When you come bring tips in US $1 bills as it’s hard for them to exchange CAD coins at the bank. The beach, is MAJESTIC unmatched and the reason why we keep coming back to Varadero. Come with an open mind and enjoy the beach

Be warned! Really the most terrible hotel in a long time. Black mold everywhere, smelly beds and bad service. The buffet room also smells really bad. The food looks bad.
We had booked a villa. Upon arrival it was said that we could check in from 3:30 PM, I then said that the email states that the check-in time is 2:00 PM. I immediately got a sneer from the man behind the reception. The villa we were assigned is practically a large hotel room with a shared living room and kitchen. When you book this, it is not clearly stated anywhere that these are shared spaces. The shower is too gross to stand in with your bare feet, there is black mold everywhere. There is even black mold on the toilet and floors. The walls are also very dirty and there are pieces missing everywhere. The bed had bloodstains and other unknown stains on it. In addition, the bedding smells of mold. The bathroom window was completely hanging out of the frame, so it could no longer be closed, meaning everyone could enter and look inside while you were showering. After a complaint at reception, the window was immediately fixed and the bed changed. The window was kind of torn back into the frame, but no one ever came to the bed.
After insisting, we were allowed to go to another room. We were able to see three rooms and choose one from them. One room even dirtier than the other. Ultimately we chose the least dirty room, but it also turned out to be full of mold. Again, stains in the bed, smelly pillows and a huge leak on the ceiling in the bathroom.
The dinner buffet is also too disgusting for words. Upon entering there is a sour, vomit/corpse smell around the food. The ice cream looks spoiled and you have to look for a plate without stains. The breakfast buffet is not much better.
We left this misery early after a stay of 2.5 days.
The only positive thing about this hotel is that it is located near a beautiful stretch of beach/sea. Anyway, they didn't have to do much for this themselves.
We sincerely wonder why rooms are still offered in this hotel.

I wanted to share my impressions regarding my stay at this hotel. The hotel rightfully deserves 4 stars among Cuban hotels. The cost of the trip fully corresponds to the specified services, and if someone is not satisfied with some things in this hotel, I would like to say: “Guys, pay money and choose premium hotels” and you will be happy. The hotel is good, the beach is amazing, the staff is friendly. I especially want to mention the assistant at the front desk, his name is Yuriel. Upon arrival at the hotel, he took me to my room and brought my things; when I needed a taxi, he was happy to call me an inexpensive taxi, and when the lock on my suitcase broke, he found me a screwdriver, although I asked everyone, none of the staff helped. In general, if you need anything like that, contact him. I also really liked the girls from the restaurant, they were always attentive and offered drinks. Many thanks to them The holiday turned out great. I recommend this hotel to everyone.

Yes they provide soap, body wash and shampoo in the room. BUT, if you have really good hair I would still bring your own supplies to keep your hair routine and hair healthy. My girls have long hair so I always bring my own. But what is provided works for me. So personal preference.
"Has a side note, looneys and looneys mean nothing to the bank here, so if you will , please bring American $1 bills. Other than that your Canadian money is fine here"
