The lobby is very nice, clean and spacious. Our room was large and clean, a nice shower and always had lots of hot water... The service was hit and miss, some days you would be greeted with a warm" hola", other days you would be completely ignored... The lobby bar was nice but always busy, I feel they should hire more staff to keep up with the crowds... I would recommend bringing your own spoons, they were very hard to come by..I often had to eat ice cream or jello with a fork... There was free wifi throughout the resort...

...It took 3 days to get a hot water fix... There are square metal receptacles on posts along the pathways for used glasses, plates etc... The staff are wonderful always helpful but we as a guest must follow up every day if you want something fixed or changed...

Our experience as a couple at the Melia Peninsula was above and beyond. We were very pleased by the resort which is towards the last part of the Varadero peninsula... The staff is so welcoming, the food at the buffet is great... Every buffet was fresh and had a variety of many dishes to chose from, meats, custom made pastas, pizzas, salads, fruits, drinks, many choices in desert and MORE!!... There is a snack bar open 24H at the pool and there are also great restaurants À la carte to chosw from !!... The beach is beautiful and the water is crystal !!... Judith welcomed us at the buffet when we first got there and made us feel at home right away !... I was able to keep my everyday work out routine with the yoga and the gym on the site!... Thanks to our wonderful maid Yariamna for her excellent room service!!... Thank you also to Jean Francois the friendly lifeguard and Lisande at the beach as well !!... Thank you kindly to all of the staff for making our experience such a special one!...

Beach was beautiful, white sands and crystal clear blue waters, Free use of pedal boats, catamaran, kayaks was included but we did use... Drinks could be had from the beach shack... Also there was some musicians during the night outside the lobby during the night and also some shows so at the theatre which we never attended... Overall we give the resort 4/5 stars and would not hesitate to return...

...The staff was very professional,friendly and offered the best service... The hotel has beautiful gardens that are perfectly and well look after... There are yoga classes in the beach in the morning a variety of activities of animation in the pool and life music in the evenings... The beach parties are absolutely amazing and The bartender are exceptional they always remember my drink of choice and I had the opportunity to tasted best cuban coffee at the hotel, it was thoroughly enjoyable!... My room was perfectly decorated and really comfortable...
