We stayed three nights - one of the best hostals in Cuba. Marlen and her team were lovely - friendly, great service, worked hard to make sure we were comfortable and happy. We were a couple, along with father (82) - we had the upstairs apartment (with kitchen and big balcony) and adjoining room with lockable door; two bathrooms. Very very clean, good (quiet) A/C, nice meals. Did some laundry for us - reasonably priced. Theres also a rooftop sun deck with loungers. Marlen arranged taxi transfer to Jose Marti Airport for us. If we return to Cuba, Varadero, we'll certainly stay here. Highly recommended.
Good place horrible service Central, good rooms even food was good unfortunately there was hairs in the food and drinks. Service took them without a word, said later that there was no hair and made us pay for the hairy drink. No thank you!
We had 2 rooms during our stay. A first that was very good. But the second was not good: bed mattress in bad condition, very noisy (sound of engine stuck to the wall of the room during the night ...)> we did not sleep at night. In addition the staff was not very nice and we doubt their honesty: the last day, while we had booked a collective taxi via the casa, the taxi arrived with 1 hour late and "apparently" the other 2 tourists planned were no longer there. So we had to pay the entire taxi to make our trip to Havana ... We had the impression that it had been an arrangement between the taxi and the person who booked the taxi ...
We stayed for three nights. Rooms (two) were nice and clean, good meals, staff friendly (but Marlen away). Close to beach and centre of town. Not noisy. Could do with a washing line to dry beach towels etc. Had separate shower so we could clean off before taxi to airport (taxi was 35 CUC). Air con quiet and efficient. Fairly spacious rooms with well stocked fridge.
It was our last and best casa during our 10 days stay in Cuba. We came there spontainiously and got a room. Super clean. The staff was so friendly and customer orientated- keep on going. Even the breakfast and four course dinner- just tasy- especially for a Country where everything is limited. Next Cuba trip, we definetly come again :)
