We absolutely loved everything about this place. The breakfasts and the food were fantastic, we ate breakfast here every day for 5 Cuc each. We had lobster for dinner one night. Alfredo is a wonderful cook. The pina colada was creamy with little bits of coconut, sooo fricken good. The rooftop terrace was too hot for us during the day as we are fair haired people and burn easy. But in the evening it was perfect to watch the ocean and the sun go down while enjoying a bottle of wine. A few days in the afternoon we spent time in the loungers on the ground level drinking beer in the shade. The location was perfect, steps away from the ocean. Alfredo, Bertha and their daughter Laurent are perfect hosts. We had a fridge in our room stocked with cans of cold Crystal beer and bottles of water for a fee. Originally we tried to book this place for two weeks, but we were only able to book for five nights as that was all they had available for us. Were were really looking forward to spending time here as we knew it would be perfect and it did not disappoint. We are hoping that our schedules will work for the next time we come to Varadero, so that we are able to stay the whole time. Dear Bertha, Alfredo and Laurent, thank you so much for taking such good care of us and making our experience in Varadero amazing.

Stayed 7 days in this wonderful location. The 2 rooms were comfortable, clean and with AC! We had our own private patio and the location is just step away from the beach. We could not be closer. They even have a patio on the roof. An excellent place listen to the waves and look at stars at night. The hosts Berta and Alfredo could not do enough for us. The meals were excellent. We all all our Bfast there and some suppers too. They are excellent hosts, warm and helpful and their delightful daughter Laureen speaks English which helped with communication. I would highly recommend this location. Also, it's next to an excellent coffee shop with a second floor overlooking the beach and just a few feet from the main street. I would go back there anytime.!

We spent here 3 nights before going home to Poland. This is a great place to stay, to rest. Almost on the beach. Very nice family! Room big enough for two of us, comfortable bed, AC, fan. The fridge with the water or beer. Lauren is making very good drinks! Delicious breakfast and dinner (fish). Lauren called her friend who took us for great snorkelling. Highly recommended!

We were so happy to be at accommodation of Bertha & Alfredo in Varadero. They are friendly attentive hosts. We stayed one week. This was an experience of eating wonderful and very affordable home made meals. They were happy to do anything they could for us. Our room was affordable, clean and comfortable with a small fridge, fan and an air conditioner. Just a few steps out the front gate and there is the beach! Lots of white sand and plenty of space. No juggling for a good spot. There is only two rooms for rent and we were delighted to spend meal times with folks from other countries when we choose the same hour to eat. There are a number of places to enjoy the sun and a good book; on the rooftop loungers, deep chairs, hammocks and rockers. I highly recommend this accommodation!

We just spent five days with Berta, Alfreso and Lauren, and could not have found a better spot. I arrived exhausted and left rejuvinated. We stayed in the larger of the two rooms, found the beds very comfortable and enjoyed the air conditioning and gentle shower. We had almost all of our meals at the casa, and loved the food. I especially liked the breakfast pancakes with mango marmelade, the coffee, the lemonade (wish I had discovered it earlier!), the ropa vieja, th freah fish and the pina caladas. Berta, Alfredo and Lauren treated us with kindness and care. They were friendly, helped us when we had any problems, and were happy to visit with us. When my flight was delayed, Berta let me communicate with my friend through her account, and found me good transportation to their casa. They also recommended good guides for tours, and good places to visit. Their home is so close to the beach that we walked down barefoot. They have hammocks and chairs all over the property so you can also enjoy the sun from just outside your front door. They also have two covered areas for dining, or for reading outside if you need shade. Their casa is also close to the state wifi and the bank. We walked into the tourist downtown once, but came back very happy to be in a quieter place with genuine people. We were also lucky enough to share our visit with some lovely German tourists, and had many wonderful late night discussions over meals. Thank you so much, Berta, Alfredo and Lauren. Leslie-Jean
