We were so excited to be back after having our trip here in 2020 cancelled due to Covid. The staff were fantastic. We had a beautiful ocean view room on the fourth floor. Love the shower. Loved the big balcony. We have been to Cuba several times , this was our third stay at this resort and our first two week stay. Our favorite spot was right outside the Cohiba bar by the lagoon. We could be found there for cappuccinos in the am, drinks in the evenings. The staff were so awesome Frank and one of the other bar tenders and I am so sorry I didn’t get his name but I ended up with upset stomach from kidney infection and then strong medication I was on and they both got me little bottles of tonic water which was the only thing that helped. They were life savers. The resort was not very full when we were there so a lot of evening meals were either a la carte style or small version of buffet in one of the a la carte restaurants. Breakfasts were always great, and I love their bread and rolls but actually I had the best fish I have ever had in Cuba and complimented their chef. Some of the desserts were fantastic as well. We have made friends over the years in Cuba so we were quite aware of the shortages the people are currently experiencing. We brought many gifts for our friends and the staff. Special thank you to our maid Yoima who kept our room spotless and was very sweet. One of the bar maids at the pool bar used to work the Cohiba bar when we were there last time and I know her name is Yami Mardi but not sure if I came close to spelling it correctly. She served us great quick lunches when we wanted to grab ham and cheese toasted sandwich quick. Had fries for a few days then banana chips. There were a couple of sweet girls at the buffet that looked after us very well and I know we asked their names but I have forgotten. The ladies in the shop were very kind and when there system was down actually gave me bottled water to drink so i wouldn’t have to make another trip back that day. I did get to meet the doctor as I said I needed medication for kidney infection while there and he was very thorough. He made sure I was going to follow up with my own doctor at home which I did. We meant Ricardo and chatted with him a couple of times. Before we left we did tell him we would be back but just not in September again as our first week extremely hot but then second week hurricane Ian hit and all of Cuba lost power. We were fortunate this resort had back up generators to run mostly everything accept for air conditioning in the rooms. The fans would run but not air. We had a fantastic stay regardless and love this resort and staff. Hopefully we will be back again soon. Thanks to all of the staff who made our stay fantastic. …
I don’t know where to start! Everything was so wonderful! The resort, the facilities, ALL the staff from the kitchen, bar, and buffet (Monico, Digna, Jennifer, Reinaldo, Adislaydi), our maid Yoima, everyone on the entertainment team (Russo, Yuni, Jose, Jamie, Aline, Shayla, Alex…), and of course Roberto one of the managers who made sure everything was perfect for us! There was always something to do and the food and drinks were always abundant at anytime of day with the 24hr snack bar. It was definitely a quieter resort but as this was a vacation for myself and a friend, quieter and low key was perfect for us! I will definitely be back to Serenis Tropical Varadero again and very soon I hope!
Had a great time. Entertainment and activity staff are excellent. Very friendly especially Ailyn, Ismaray , Villa, Sheyla, Harley, Alexei, Yuni and Abdiel. Great beach. Helpful staff. A very good time.
All of the staff is so friendly & happy!! The beach is absolutely beautiful & the buffet gives a great selection of food. Room is clean, beds are comfy. The activities are fun during the day. I plan to be back with my husband & kids.
We met some good friends in a wonderful place by the ocean. Ailyn, Villa, Sheyla thank you for a wonderful time in your. I hope that I will come back and we will dance the most beautiful Cuban dance. Love Diana.
Very good animation (Sheila - thank you for being so nice and professional and knowledgeable) (dance, zummba, volleyball...) Very clean hotel and very friendly staff. Great view of the ocean from my room. My room was kept immaculate. I felt very welcomed. Breakfast was very good. They need a better selection of foods at lunch and dinner and in particular at the snack bar. I am overall very satisfied and would definitely come back!! Also, thank you Marcos for your good conversations. Please include a better variety of music at the pool!!!
Sirenis Tropical Varadero is the new name of the resort. We went as a group of 3 friends for a 5 day get away. None of us had stayed here before so we didn't know what to expect. Upon entering the hotel we noticed it was big and clean and certainly beautiful! The check in was smooth and quick and our room was ready upon our arrival. The front desk staff were friendly and provided us with 3 keys, towel card, internet info and Ala Carte voucher. The bellboy brought our stuff to our room with us. We were in room 4311. We had an ocean view room which in my opinion worth the small upgrade fee! Our room had a king bed and a full sized cot! The room itself was clean and well decorated the washroom was newly updated. Our view was amazing! We had a fridge and coffee maker as well as a TV. The only complaint about the room is it really could have better lighting but that's not a deal breaker for me! We checked the buffet and we're pleasantly surprised at the food. I usually find the food in Cuba to be bland. To note they are in a difficult time economically so they are not able to get a lot of stuff. This was apparent in the buffet selection but trust me we never went hungry! The buffet was clean and cool and the staff was friendly. Now for the bars, our favorite was the Cohiba Bar- the staff on all shifts were amazing!! The drinks were so good and what a beautiful place to hang out and have a drink! The only other bar we went to was the pool bar which was good and open 24 hour for food and drinks (try the deep fried banana chips yum)! The grounds were immaculate! Like not a spot of garbage, I loved all the different paths you can take to get to the beach or all around the resort! The resort is HUGE but thankfully everything was centrally located so we loved it. We didn't even get to explore the whole resort. The pools were nice we checked put the main pool and attended a pool party at the Bravo Club. Despite the size of rhe grounds there was always security around and it felt very safe , though u always feel safe in Cuba. The disco was good though they only serve mixed drinks there no beer, it was low travel time so the resort itself wasn't to busy. The beach, oh the beach my most fav part! It was so warm and shallow and pretty calm every day! There was a man who would put out chairs for you under the umbrellas so it was perfect. We used snorkel gear from the beach guys and went on the hobby cat which was so fun. We spent most of our 5 days at the beach! My only recommendation would be to have a beach bar. We brought Bubbas so it was a non issue. Honestly I will go back to this resort, I am sure it will only get better and better once it is a higher travel time. Everyone was so helpful, friendly and professional and the resort itself was beautifully decorated and immaculately clean!…
Best privet Beach, this place is the Best For the perfect vacation . I will retunt here every year. The coustumer service in this hotel is amazing . I have been in other hotels in beaches like Cancun or Puntacana and they are far below, the beach in Varadero is the best, it has no comparison
Maydelis Teruel and Yaimi povided us with over the top service and helped us with every request we had. It was very sweet and helped us during our stay and made our stay even better. Great place to stay as a couple or with family. Room temperature/ Ac needs to be fixed otherwise nice place.
Pros- 1. the lobby of the hotel and the lobby below the main lobby are renovated and the area is very relaxing and beautiful. I love the old chandler. The rooms have been renovated, beds are comfortable, clean rooms, lovely shower with rainfall shower, always hot water. There was a dent in the lamp shade and the mirror is starting to show wear other than that no complaints and we had a lovely sea view room. 3. The cohiba bar was amazing for nice cold drinks and the alcoholic beverages were very good here. The area itself was lovely with nice air conditioning. The staff in this department were all very nice and amazing. 4. the beach was amazing. 5. Pools were nice. 6. Grounds are well kept up and i like that there is a walking trail in the shade with trees etc. Cons1-The food was TERRIBLE. I go to a lot of resorts and i often travel to cuba and not once have i complained about the food in cuba because i always found something good to eat but honestly i can say the food was the worst i ever had and we did go without finding anything to eat sometimes that we liked. 2. There isn't a lot to do at this resort for entertainment and my daughter who is 16 was bored. The entertainment at the resort in the evening was good but it was always the same thing dancing dancing and more dancing. 3. The resort itself is showing a lot of wear and tear. The tiles on the roof are all broken, the paint is a mess and it looks shabby. 4/Ala cartes are awful. Overall we still had a good vacations …
