This is a 50 year old 3-star hotel, and very inexpensive for all inclusive. On the balance, it was a positive experience. The rooms are small relative to what you would expect today, but the bathroom has been renovated, it is clean and the 3/4 beds are adequate. Lots of hot water for showers. The kitchen tries to do the...

The hotel itself, is close in walking distance to where you all wish to go. Being a single person this really it not the right place to party. It is more for a family setting. Now there's nothing wrong that, the place is relaxing for all. young and older. Yes most of that staff is helpful and friendly. It is...

Club Tropical was an exceptional hotel with super accommodating and warm staff. It’ll always be a 5 star in my heart! As soon as I arrived at the hotel, I was greeted by the front receptionist which asked me if I wanted dinner. The hotel restaurant had already closed, but they still let me in so I could eat! I'm...

OK, as you know some of the hotels in the town of Varadero are "Older" and might be a turn off for some but if you are not picky about the accommodation, well Club Tropical is a good destination. I travelled with a buddy and it was an awesome, trip we chilled on the beach or walked around town! We...

We only stayed here for 2 nights and the best part of the hotel is that it's situated directly to the beach and it's a semi-private beach. We walked quite a distance on the varadero beaches, but we just crossed 1 or 2 resorts with it's "own" beach, but didn't look as good as our beach. We stayed on an...

You pay for what you get! The rooms were okay, the air conditioning was very loud and if you have a room facing the main drag, the trucks would keep you up at night! The hotel needed some work in the rooms to make it look nicer, although it was clean for the most part. It also lacked entertainment

Food was mediocure, rooms were typical for Cuba (old and outdated), entertainment was not that great BUT great location is the best. If you can bare the moldy gross rooms, the trade off is the beach! You will also have local vendors right outside the door, access to the on/off bus right there to cruise up and down the peninsula,...

This was the one night my wife and I stayed in a hotel while we were in Cuba. Hopefully it is an exception to what other hotels are like. (Our other 9 nights were in casas particulares.) The lobby, bars and pool area are very attractive. There is also access to a beautiful section of beach. We wanted a swim...
