Value for money in Varadero. Las Palmas is not the same as Cuatro Palmas. To access the pool, bars and restaurant, you must pay the difference of US$25/day for the all inclusive option. The Las Palmas buildings are about 2~3 blocks from the main hotel, in the rain it can be difficult for people with limited mobility. There are no elevators to the second floor, only stairs. The security guards, baggage handlers and cleaning staff are very friendly and always willing to help. The all-inclusive food is very limited, but tasty, as are the drinks. It's worth asking gardeners for coconut water, as they know where to get it. Varadero beach is the most beautiful in the world, there is no comparison. It's so worth it!

Excellent choice and very economical. The starfish las palmas is a hotel of rooms in bungalos but have many attractions such as the quality price, and the central location of the rooms. Well, here you are near Top-rated bars, discos, restaurants, shops, etc. That’s not to say there aren’t elsewhere in vVaradero, but this is where there is more movement of people. The rooms are acceptable as well as the food the drink and the beach.... Well, it's Vardero and everyone knows the beach is one of the best in the world. This hotel can be recommended.

The hotel is quite comfortable and its location is very good, bars, restaurants and clubs are close at hand. It is 100 meters from the main buffet located at Star Fish Cuatro Palmas, in our case we paid a supplement and were able to enjoy all the meals and facilities of the entire Hotel. I recommend paying this supplement since in the long run it is cheaper than consuming on the street. I recommend it.

I decided to stay at this hotel for its budget price and attractive photos on its website. However, my experience was quite unpleasant. Upon arrival, I discovered that the lobby was on one side of the street and the assigned rooms on the other, which did not initially bother me. Breakfast was offered at the main hotel. After unpacking, we went to the beach entering through the hotel lobby, and also played dominoes on the hotel patio.

However, the problems started when we returned to our room. The towels were stained and had an unpleasant smell. I asked for new towels and to change the bed sheets, but the new towels were also stained and no pillowcases were available. The first night I had to sleep with my clothes as a pillow because the pillows smelled terrible.

The next morning, we went to breakfast and although breakfast was not bad, there was a swarm of flies and mosquitoes flying around, which was quite unpleasant. Still, I tried not to complain so that I could enjoy the beach and my country, which I had not visited for a long time. However, after lunch outside and trying to return to the beach, a security guard stopped my husband and I, saying that guests with the white handle could not cross the lobby to go to the beach, we should go down the street.

This puzzled me. If I checked in at this hotel and breakfast is served here, why can't I cross the lobby to go to the beach? When I went to the reception to complain, the lady told me that she had chosen a cheaper option, which justified all the discomforts I experienced, from dirt to restricted access to the beach. This made me feel like a second class guest who deserved no respect.

Finally, I decided to leave the hotel, although I had already paid for one more night. The only kind and kind person during my stay was Emily, the lady who cleans the rooms. She tried hard to make me feel good, but it is not her fault that tourism in Cuba is so disappointing. I'm not surprised the streets of Varadero are empty.

In short, I do not recommend this hotel. Despite being an economical choice, the experience was far below acceptable.

This review is from the second trip.
The buffet is decently right though, several dishes are still oversalted, at breakfast the juice is deluded. Wine would be served at dinner and supper. The buffet, portion by portion is getting renovated and the renovated part looks nice. The buffet terrace is a cozy place but, the constant presence of some 7…8 cats leaves its marks, the cats run over the tables and cutleries, plus the constant stink of cat urine.
Restaurante à la carte, the food is good and well presented but, wine wise, it's the case to apply the expression “...esta manipulado…” every bottle is getting open somewhere in the back and never on the client’s sight… I’ve got into an argument on this topic.
Rooms. Las Palmas wing complex. After renovation touch up there still are paint and cement leaks and smears at any edge and corner. There's a constant and strong smell of mildew due to high humidity and poor ventilation in the rooms, molds big spots in the selling. When I arrived, I had to switch two rooms because of broken balcony door latches and non functional safety box. I was told that nothing will happen because there is security, one at the front of the building which is on tiktok shift long. Why nobody checks the room functionality prior to providing it to the tenant, left me without answer. The complex is surrounded by 3 major night dance establishments, the music bangs mercilessly until past three in the morning seven days a week.
There is unlimited access to wifi for the length of the stay, the connection coverage is all over the resort including the beach.

Third time my 1 star review has been taken down, so reposting yet again...

Terrible hotel, no idea why the ratings on here are so high. Booked via TUI and when we arrived in Mid June, we were placed in their "annexe" over the road which is in affect another hotel called the "Starfish Las Palmas" over the road, which they claim is the same hotel but is bookable as a separate hotel on booking sites. This hotel at best is an outdated dirty travel lodge, overlooking a road with night life that will keep you awake till the early hours every night. Rooms are outdated, dirty, poorly maintained and not fit for habitation... The main hotel is average (can't comment on rooms as didn't see them), the food was bland and little variety and covered in flies in the buffet restaurant, and staff unfriendly. My wife got a stomach upset after one day, that we believe may have been down to some seafood but obviously this cannot be proved, but needless to say we avoided the seafood in future. Pool is OK and beach is nice. The only small advantage is location, in that there are shops (not well stocked) and bars nearby to walk to including the Beetles bar. The best thing that happened to us was managing to move to a different hotel after 2 nights to end our stay from hell.

Regarding the issue with flies, it is true that we had some troubles with that (season time), but we focused on it and applied the necessary measures. And right now we are appreciating satisfactory results. We apologize for the situation and and hope that you will return and give us the opportunity to improve your impressions of our hotel. I really like this hotel as much as the main building to which this is an annex. The service we chose was all-inclusive, but since the rooms are located in the bungalows (across the street) the price is much cheaper. We love the rooms, they are very comfortable and always clean. All the workers are very friendly, they greet you at any time of the day. This installation is really highly recommended.

Mediocre rooms located in between local bars and night club blasting music till 3AM.
Beware of the fine lines when you book this resort advertising as Starfish Cuatro Palmas, we booked knowing that this is Starfish Cuatro Palmas and when we get there they put us in Las Palmas which is worst than a regular motel in North America. Buffet Restaurant employee are very friendly. Varadero Beach is beautiful as always, this is our third time in Varadero. Lobby employees are unaccommodating. Guest washrooms are always dirty. The first time I was so disappointed out of 17 years of visiting different part of Cuba, more disappointed because I have friends who went with me and it's their first time in Cuba.

For me, staying at this Star Fich Cuatro Palmas hotel, which is located in the center of Varadero on Calle 62, has been a very nice, very charming experience because it has very good service in general from the moment they receive you, as well as the rooms being very clean. organized, the food is very varied and well prepared, you have a very nice beach area. I am very happy to have been here and I thank all the staff who work here and even the hotel manager with whom I have exchanged conversations

I'm not sure as I didn't have all-Inclusive plan. However it's not far away so if they allow you to take it out from the main building you can definitely walk that distance with a glass in your hand.
