Seriously, I don't know what to think. It looked ok from the outside, then a big average in the lobby, in the end a disaster in the room. Old, dirty and dusty. There is a swimming pool which I am not even sure they clean. Breakfast was disguisting. No way for me.

I stayed here on our 9th day of touring Cuba. Unfortunately our room was placed on a corner by a busy corridor. So was noisy and staff ventured for their breaks near our room. As a Buddhist I chant every morning and evening, and decided to chant on the space outside the back of the room. The staff carried on... More

close to the zoo, so don't be alarmed if you can hear the lions at night. They have a great pool, rooms are old and not well maintained. It's an okay hotel. Breakfast is not so great, really if other places offer a lot better quality, then why can't they here??

Property in need of renovation, unhelpful reception staff, safe is extra, breakfast is ok in very old fashioned room, great pool, noisy at night. About 10 minutes taxi from town. Paid for wifi as in rest of Cuba

I have been staying at this hotel since 2011. It is conveniently located outside the town center (about 3 km) but has the advantage that you are in a quitter location away from the hustle and bustle of the town center. The hotel has a 3 star rating so do not expect five star services. Having said that, all staff... More

I was with a small tour group & our original hotel could not take us one night (regardless of having a booking confirmed, the authorities can just change things at will here in Cuba) so we stayed at this establishment. It is a pretty basic hotel which I would not recommend. It is about a 15 minutes drive to the... More

On the edge of Santiago, which isn't great, and very few restaurants nearby so you are reliant on taxis. The rooms are in blocks of four around a nice looking pool which sounds great but our curtains were jammed and wouldn't open; there are no opening windows, just a door, onto our balcony, and as soon as we opened it... We stayed for 2 nights in this hotel which is a few kilometers out of town. In the first room we got the shower couldn't be used because of a broken tap. We immediately got another room were only one light was working. The swimming pool was not very clean but it is possible to go swimming in the Melia... More

The room was the best one I had of the three state run, budget hotels in Cuba. The breakfast buffet and a store were in a separate building. There is a pool at this hotel. It was closed for 2 days when we were there. It's a very short walk to San Juan Hill. It's a walkable 8 blocks or... More

Had no choice but to stay at this hotel during a tour of Cuba. It felt you had not only stepped back in time, but changed countries - goodbye Cuba, hello Russia. The rooms were clean but basic with noisy air-con, a broken shower rail and dodgy shower. The bed had to be one of the most uncomfortable I've ever... More
