The hotel is located on the main square of Santiago and therefor perfect for exploring the city. The old building is very charming and especially the lobby and terrace just above the sidewalk are appealing. The view from the roof terrace and bar is spectacular. The rooms are old and could use renovation. When we arrived, there was a problem... More

This is a beautiful colonial hotel with incredible views both from the rooms overlooking the plaza and from the rooftop bar. The room was large and airy with a clean and convenient bathroom. The only niggle was that we had to pay extra to use the safe, which can be opened with a room key and therefore by anyone with... More

A grand hotel in the centre of Santiago that has certainly seen better days, but renovations are happening and the staff are working hard to restore it to its former glory. The interior is quite dark as are the rooms. The A/C worked well, there were towels and amenitites in the bathroom, everything was clean. The smell in our room was... More

This was our last stop on our Cuba trip - and the most luxurious and expensive. It is in a terrific location, has a lovely ambiance and an excellent roof-top bar (also serve food). The room on the first night of our stay faced the street, and was so noisy (traffic and music) that we really found it impossible to... More

Nice hotel in the city center. Parking was problem. Helpful staff. Terrace with a café and restaurant on the roof of the hotel accessible first to hotel guests. Room clean. Food good. WiFi working. I recommend.

I have been traveling to Cuba for some 30 years! Much has changed. This hotel is one of the better hotels in Santiago de Cuba. It is in the center of town and you can look out at the square where everyone congregates. The prices are good, the rooms are average for Cuba, the food is good. There is music... More

I went to this hotel with great expectations, since I was told it was a 4 star place and the best in Santiago. As soon as we arrived I noticed how beautiful in an old world way, and how airy the lobby is. My musician buddy went straight for the baby grand, and we could feel the excitement in the... More

I been there few times just for the convenience to be in the center of the town, the view is beautiful because is across to the Catedral and others old buildings, the problem is that always is too busy and the quality of the food is terrible, just like an example i ask for a Cuban sandwich, thinking that will... Gerente General v, Director General at Hotel Casa Granda, responded to this review

Due to the fact that Casa Granda Hotel is really very well located, many visits are usually received during all the year. However, this should not be a reason to get a bad food service for any client who comes with us. Cuban sandwich must be prepared according to our heighest category, even more when its name makes reference to... More
