We had a bad experience, the room in our check in, was completely dirty. Hair, and dark power was in the bathroom. Breakfast was very poor. Flies and mosquitos everywhere. However it was far enough from the center that air pollution is terrible. The best staurants are in the area also. Definitely not recommended

Wifi on ground and 1st floor which was exceptional for Cuba when we visited. The bar area and swimming pool are great. Walking distance to some good restaurants and the main tourist areas but taxis cheap and easy as well. Good buffet breakfasts. The only downside came at the weekend when the pool area is opened to non-hotel guests at...

I don't know if this is still happening, but back in 1996 when I was in Stgo dancing with Cutumba, we would go hang out at the rooftop bar at Las Americas and watch our friends in the floor show - a big mix of son, merengue and Afro-Cuban dance. It was fantastic and the beer was cheap. I loved...

Hi all - stayed at the hotel for a weekend in early April. Prices were a little higher than last year but for the convenient location I didn't mind. Greeted at reception and was asked to have a beer while they located my reservation - not a problem! I had a room on the 4th floor this time. Small but...

Las Americas has a nice swimming pool, big rooms and a very small bar. But they also have the 4-star-Melia right in front. Where we went for dinner twice. Once in the perfect and cosy Italian restaurant on the ground floor, and once upstairs, in the chique buffet restaurant. "Chique" mainly because of the wine cellar. Or better still "wine...

I booked this hotel on line and paid only $70.00 Can for 2 nights with breakfast. I was allowed to check in early, and was shown to a charming cozy room on the ground level. Art deco style furniture and black out drapes, working TV, and large bath. The front desk staff were very concerned about my traveling alone, and...
