This hotel offered everything we could have wanted. It was a great stay right downtown, allowing us to immerse in the culture. The colonial architecture was very neat, but most importantly the service was impeccable. The staff, and (especially Waldo) were wonderful and made us feel so welcomed! I recommend this stay if you would like to experience spending time downtown, and if you're looking for a home away from home.

We stayed here for one night and had lots of problems. We had room 110 on the first floor down a dark hallway at the furthest corner of the hotel. It felt like if we died in our room they would not find us for 3 days !! In addition, there was no hot water. None !! So no showers or hot water to was our socks and underwear in the sink. It was a simple room with a double bed and one dresser and one chair. But no windows. There was a sliding glass door but you had to leave it open all night for fresh air. On the good side there was a wonderful breakfast on the roof. And the hotel has a good location in the center of town next to all the theaters and cinema's. Unfortunately we only had one day to explore the town and it was raining that day so I cannot give much of a review of the town. I forgot to add that if they give you a room on the first floor you may need a small boat to get to your room if it is raining. The drainage is very poor and lots of large puddles. There is a squeegee near some of the puddles so you can work to get the water away from the hall.
