CASA BLANCA Malecon 413 From June 2013 you can stay at Havanas first design house. Casa Blanca was born from the renovation of a historic Cubana residence. Created by a team of international designers the house offers its guests a refined environment where design and tradition fuse in a magic total white look. Original late 18th century Cuban furniture, enormous mirrors from the 1950s, some contemporary design pieces and refined natural fabrics all strictly white! Located in the oldest part of the Malecon of Havana (UNESCO World Heritage site ) in a privileged position facing the Caribbean Ocean and only a short walk from the centre, the house welcomes its guest into a large living room with a balcony, where you can have breakfast, refreshed by the sea breeze, an evening cocktail enjoying an unforgettable sunset or, on request, dinner with a select group of friends. The sleeping area is divided into three suites each with air-conditioning, mini-bar, hairdryer and private bathroom. Two of the suites have a sea view and double bed whilst the third has a double and a single bed. NEARBY The most important sights of Havana are in walking distance: National Museum of Beautiful Arts of Cuba (Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes de Cuba), Plaza de la Catedral, The Capitolio, Museum of the Revolution (Museo de la Revolucion), Granma Memorial, Gran Teatro de La Habana. As are the main bars, restaurants and nightspots: Il Floridita, La Boteguita del Medio, La Casa della Musica

It is the Casa Blanca - all white inside. Clean, Clean, Clean. About $45 a night in early 2019. It is an easy walk to old Havana - Havana Vieja. Close to the best museums. Close to great restaurants. No need to take a taxi anywhere but the airport. Book ahead. it fills up sometimes a month out.

We had the most beautiful room in Havana - spotlessly clean and sunny, with a balcony overlooking the old Convent and a plaza where kids play soccer. Very comfortable with brand new AC, safe box, super clean and modern bathroom, and wall fan. Yaqueline, Orlando, and their family and staff made us comfortable and welcomed, gave us good tips and a map to get around Old Havana, and cooked a huge delicious breakfast for us every day The casa is just a block from the heart of Old Havana, with lots of live music, restaurants, and mix of locals and visitors. Definitely looking forward to staying here in again in the future, and recommending to others.

Nice House on the Malecon ...all the forniture is white. Suite number 2 has a small sleeping room and a sheared terrace with suite number 1. Very good welcoming with a frozen lemonade natural. Good breakfast served on the terrace. Lots of mosquitos (bring a lotion) - try the near Castropole restaurant: very good lobster!!!

We stayed at the Casa Blanca for two nights and in the neighboring annex three nights. From the outside the building looks really rundown and rough, as the majority of the beautiful old buildings facing the Malecón. However, when you pass through the door it’s like entering a complete different world. Everything is spotless in shining white colors. We enjoyed a refreshing ice lemonade on the lovely balcony just in front of the Malecón. The rooms are very special with their charming colonial style. The breakfast was € 4.00 each and was served with love and care. The coffee was simply delicious and the fresh blended guava juice extremely addictive. One evening we had a nice three course dinner out on the balcony. The Casa Blanca was ideally situated within a short walking distance to the Old town, perhaps a little longer to Calle 23. The crew of Casa Blanca were extremely helpful and friendly and were always ready to prepare us some nice drinks.

This is a great place on the Malecon as long as the traffic noise doesn't bother you. If you want it quiet, you probably should go elsewhere off the Malecon because it is a noisy street. Also, there is a tiny park next door and the locals may be there until late.
