Detailed Reviews
A blessing! The service at the NH Capri was amazing! The bellman/hotel porters in the lobby were so helpful and kind with giving us wifi cards, exchanging money, recommending restaurants, and helping to arrange transportation! The rooms were kept clean with fresh towels daily and kind notes from the maids. The breakfast was delicious! varieties of breads and danishes as well as delicious coffee, fruit juices and delicious smoothies. The omelette station was yummy as well as fresh fruit eggs and more. The best part thought about breakfast was the hostess/greeter Sunian Hernandez. As we and others arrived Each morning to get our breakfast, she greeted each of us and the other guests by name and with a big smile . She was so kind and helpful from the young to the old. She never got tired of helping people find tables, get coffee, and know where to find things and feel so loved and welcomed! I hope to one day come back to Cuba and get to stay there to be able to get to see her. The beds were comfortable and the chambermaids were great by freshening the room each day by making the beds and giving fresh towels each day. The location was perfect! We were with the tour company Cuba Explorer who I am glad chose NH Capri as the place where we got to stay! We had an amazing tour of all different parts of Havana and other parts of Cuba. we were so close to Old Havana, the capital, Hamel Alley, Revolution Square, Coppelia (the huge ice-cream place, the Malecon (seawall along Cuba's coast) and the Univ of Tennessee where our daughter was studying for her study abroad program. The NH Capri had a great pool and restaurant at the top of the hotel too and in the evening they would have live music by the pool. It was close to so many good restaurants/paladars(restaurants in peoples homes too) - Restaurante Mediterrane Havana, Mojito Mojito (in Plaza Vieja), Ajiaco paladar were all had delicious food. We had an amazing tour Guide Mariana Tomayo that was from the San Cristobal agency located in Old Havana. She spoke highly of NHCapri. I highly recommend Mariana for anyone who wants to have a tour. She is kind, helpful, encouraging and the extra blessing is she is completely fluent in English and is so knowledgeable about all parts of Cuba. We went to all parts of Havana (Old Havana, the capital, Morro Castle and more), Ernest Hemingways house, the beach (Playas del Este), Las Terazzas ( a favorite), and more. We came with my parents so they stayed down the hall from us and we all couldn't have picked a better place for our stay.

+1
The NH Capri Hotel located in the heart of Habana overlooking the ocean and the Hotel National mixes old school charm with modern amenities and highly industrious and friendly staff. I visited during the start of the COVID lockdown and if I miss my flight today... I may be stuck here for a while. Anyway, the Capri has got to be by far the nicest place I've ever stayed. Room service is great, but double the average price of the handful of resturaunts nearby, however room service is 24/7 so that's a huge advantage during lockdown. The views are spectacular and the location superb. I came here just to get some rest after suffering a serious concussion. I met my Cuban friends/family complete with Aunts, Uncles, Grandmas, little ones, Brothers and Sister and they were able to help me when my brain wasn't working. The General Manager Juan Amer is an amazing man who makes the hotel run much more smoothly. And, who could forget about Sunian who ensures that every detail is just right and Yanara our breakfast cook who makes the best fried eggs, bacon and pastries. Everything that they do and the cleanliness of the place along with spectacular views makes this special treat of a hotel the destination of choice for those who appreciate the finner things in life. Now my only complaint is when I tried to exchange money at the front desk and they shorted me. When I pointed this out the added a 1000 Pasos immediately. Not sure if this was a mistake or intentional, but it rubbed me the wrong way. Please, take the time to see Habana it all its charm before progress comes along because if there is one thing that never changes is change and this city is about to change. You can feel it in the air.

The hotel rooms could do with a bit of an update and it smelt a bit funny but for the price and location you couldn't ask much more.. As a solo traveller its essential the staff make you feel welcome and help you find / see what you would like to, and they did.....Special mentions to Sunian who cheerily welcomed me in for breakfast in the morning and made me feel like part of 'the family' and Rey who made sure my glass was always full at the poolside bar. Avianna Hermi and Jorge were also exceptional but to be fair all the staff were and to me that is far more important than room decor

This full-service hotel offers a number of pluses, especially for for first-time visitors to Havana. It's a comfortable walk to Vedado and the Malecon, the historic Hotel Nacional and good restaurants (Gusto our favorite) nearby. The rooms (2) were comfortable and clean. The bathroom/shower issue (below review) has been resolved with new fixtures. The staff here is the real standout, though. Managers Avianna and Hugo were exceptional. Staff members Eysa, Sandra, Yoan, Adriano, Leond and Amauri were full of ideas and tips and made us feel welcome and at home.

Great time and great stay in Havana. We stayed here for 5 days and 6 days on a fantastic trip to Cuba. The hotel had a very delicious breakfast each morning ranging from bacon, eggs, tropical fruit, cold meats, cheeses, rice, beans, wonderful hot dark coffee, and of course omelettes to order. The room was nice with a view of the ocean and the pool on the top floor was cool and refreshing with mixed drinks. Staff members were friendly, helpful, and polite. Good service was their motto and it showed.

I stayed for 20 days at Hotel Capri due to a family member taking ill and being hospitalised in Havana. This was an extremely stressful and worrying time and as a now lone traveller in a busy city I felt very vulnerable. The staff at Capri were excellent, extremely helpful and could not do enough to make me feel safe and supported. My room was fantastic. Staff on door, reception, b level restaurant and 19th floor restaurant were all so friendly and showed genuine concern for me and my family member arranging food and water for me to take to him. When discharged from hospital they had a great room for my relative near my room and arranged a very lovely and warm welcome for him.
Thank you Avianna, Hugo and the other guys on the door and from the resturant,: Adriano, Eisa,Eduardo,Yoel,Amaury,Yeni and Jorge. To name a few. Thank you all and the management staff as well.
Although not a staff member of the hotel the Virgin Atlantic rep Dennis went above and beyond to help me including visiting hospital and translating for me and helping with the battle against insurance companies and hospital. Thank you so much

Having travelled extensively in Cuba over the last 22 years, the renovated Capri Hotel in Havana is a blessing and back on form. Staff, food, bars, pool, views were magnificent. The Capri handled all queries - travel, information, history, personal security etc in an excellent professional manner.
Sandra in the lobby bar was an angel and Sunian and Avianna - manageresses were a fountain of useful information and support.

Okay, first things first a massive thank you to Hugo, Avianna, gretel and George at the nh capri. You made exploring Havana easy and exciting. To be honest all the staff at the Capri were amazing!!! They were so helpful, kind, and knowledgeable about organizing activities and places for us to visit.
The hotel gives an international vibe in the lobby and restaurants but old-school Miami vibes in the rooms! The rooms may need a little refresh but they suited us fine. We stayed on the 15 floor. It was clean (cleaners came once a day) towels were changed regularly (you hang them up to signal you are happy to reuse them). The beds were SO comfortable, we had the best night's sleep here!
We had the breakfast option and were completely happy with this! There was a lot of variety and food was regularly topped up. We loved the French toast!
The wifi was temperamental and the best connection was in the lobby but your in Havana, go outside!!! You get 5 hours worth of internet and it can be topped up for free when it runs out.
We did try lunch and dinner in the hotel, these were table service and offered good options for a reasonable price.
The hotel was a short taxi ride to old Havana with a couple of good restaurant to eat in surrounding it and a small shop a couple of meters up the road.
All in all we had a great stay!!!

I love staying at the NH Capri Hotel whenever I am in Havana. The staff is very friendly and eager to help. The host Sunian Hernandez always remembers me and really does her best to make everyone feel looked after with her colleague Avianna. Ask for them if you have an issue.
One thing to know is that in Cuba they ask you to open "credit" if you want to put any consumption on your room so make sure to not forget that at checkin or you'll find yourself going back to your room in wet swimmers from the delightful rooftop pool to get some money to pay the mojitos at the bar.

We stayed here in January for four nights, the hotel is just fine, rooms are maybe a little 'tired' but the lovely staff really made our stay enjoyable. Particular thanks to Sunnian who welcomed us to breakfast every morning and was a real delight, Avianna on the egg station - what a joy, and Yanins. In fact really great breakfast choices. Some good spaces in the hotel with charming music in the lobby bar in the evenings. The hotel is well located for getting around. We walked into the old town (about 40 minutes) and caught the hop on hop off bus around the corner. The hotel booked our trip to the Buena Vista Social Club evening including being picked up at the hotel and dropped back home. Internet was fine we had a complimentary hour each and it worked in our room. We changed money both Euros and Pounds easily at the hotel and although they did say they took credit cards for bar bills at the end of our stay they didn't (I think the connection was down or something!) There's an ATM around the corner but there was always a big queue. One small suggestion would be to either remove the coffee machine in the room or provide more than one coffee capsule or better still a kettle.

In Cuba, the electrical outlet is of the American type, that is, TYPE - A.
Likewise, the voltage in the rooms is 220 V although in the common areas of the Hotel it is 110 V.
Thank you very much for your interest.
Hello! We do provide towels up in the roof pool to be used within the hotel premises only and upon your request of it.
Thank you for your interest.
Best regards
Dear Users,
All our visitors can go to the neighbour bank offices and exchange their currency at he official exchange rate.
Also, if your are registered as a guest in the Hotel, you can change your currency in our Front Desk at a preferential exchange rate slightly lower than the banks' rate but more convenient for you.

You can walk through the Malecón to the Parque Central Plaza within the range of 25 - 30' minutes.

Kind regards!
Dear Guests,
The taxi fare from the airport is about 40 pounds that you can pay in CUP at the exchange rate of 30 to 35 pesos per pound.
We Indeed suggest you to change a small amount of pocket money at the airport to pay the taxi and then, upon your arrival to the hotel, you can open an incidentals account for your expenses at the restaurants or in any other hotel premise.
