The position is perfect for many reasons, very close to seaside walk, to the street 23 where to find bars club cinema nightlife, and very well served by public transportation, to visit Old Havana and all turistic attractions.

First-timers in Cuba may be a little surprised when their taxi drops them at the modest doorway to the stairs leading to B&B Central Havana. It’s not an encouraging start. But as in so many Havana properties, upstairs there’s a perfectly decent apartment with a handful of bedrooms that offer clean and inexpensive accommodation right in the middle of town. The ornate high ceilings in the lounge/bar and the dining room are a particular feature, the pride and joy of the owners. Bedrooms are a little cramped and the air-con somewhat noisy but are value for the modest price. Wi-fi works well, breakfast (taken at communal tables) is very adequate, and it’s only a five-minute walk to the Malecon.

Lovely room, air con well needed it was great, a safe which was very useful, lovely tea & juice in the mornings. Local to restaurants, banks, Hotel National & walking distance to the centre. Local people do seem to get up early so a little noise perhaps that's because it is so hot there. Had a really lovely time. Thanks to Trip Adviser reviews.

Excellent location, very clean, great breakfast, friendly staff...we were there for 4 nights, had great time, the center is 5-10 min by taxi, the sea and malecon is 5 min walking distance...really great value for money...

This small b & b had all you need at very reasonable price. The staff were exceptional helping us non Spanish speakers find all we needed at the best prices. They gave us clues for dealing with the double currency and with beggars. It is a short cab ride to most places in Havana. The building is old but renovated well keeping the beautiful features of the building. Breakfasts were standard fare at a reasonable price and the breakfast ladies were charming.

Gabriel's house is located between Havana vieja and Vedado, in a great location. 15 minutes walk from downtown Havana and a few meters from the Malecon. In the opposite side there is the characteristic callejon de Hamel. Very convenient airport pickup service. Breakfast and dinner in a colonial style lounge, common room with reception and bar. Room very clean, with air conditioning, private bathroom and safe. Wi-Fi in all the room.

A really nice place in a good location. The Malecon and the University are not far away, the old town is a bit longer on the way (but it is worth to walk through the streets). The hosts were very friendly and the breakfast (you had to book separately) was good and plentiful (good for a day in the city). The rooms were clean and never too hot due to the high rooms.

I've been to Cuba on my own and I spent one week in Habana in this super B&B. Excellent location, near to malecon and very close to havana centre. Very good cleaning and dinner was very nice. Such a nice place to go!!! Good job guys keep doing like that!

I'm writing this review after spending a month in Cuba, always staying at casa particulares, except for this B&B, which is more like a hotel. Everything here worked: the plumbing, hot water, a/c, the safe. The room had a single bed where we spread our suitcases open - this is typical in Cuba - there aren't drawers or shelves to put away your things. Breakfast is sometimes included, depending on the price you paid. My husband booked through Expedia and paid a high price. I think if he had used a case particular network, it would have been less expensive. Nevertheless the food served was really good: eggs cooked to order, jams, fruit, juice, coffee or tea, bread, biscuits. The value for this at casa particulares is USD$5. The location is around the corner from Callejon de Hamel, which on Sunday has a special rumba performance. There are a few restaurants on the same street. It is located in Centro, not in Havana Vieja so you need a taxi to go to Vieja, which can be USD$3-8, depending on time of day and how many tourists are in town. We were there early December. If you wish to visit the University of Havana, it's a 5 minute walk up the street. Vedado is further than the University,it's walkable, about 30 minutes. So, bottom line, this place is clean but expensive. Internet depends on how many other people are using it. Try to find quiet hours when not too many others are around. Japones was more our host, we hardly encountered the owners except at breakfast. Japones was terrific in finding anything we needed and offering help in any way. We didn't try his cooking, which is too bad given his chef credentials. This was a very acceptable hotel.…
