I stayed in the Park Hotel overnight before departing on a tour of Cuba. The hotel is close to Havana Vieja & the Manecon. The lift is quite dated & not the most encouraging. The door to my room on the sixth floor had no doorlatch so one had to lock the door or it would remain open. The room...

We arrived in this old and run down property and used 1 hour checking as reception could not understand that we could not fit 14 people in 12 beds. It was not their problem, even thou booking stated 14 pax. The rooms has worn and run down. Breakfast restaurant was OK and located on top floor with nice views.

The Park View has a great location - just two blocks outside of Habana Vieja. Overall the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I had fairly low expectations going in, considering what I have read about the hotels in Havana, and this hotel confirmed those expectations. The room was sparse but serviceable. There was hot water in the bathroom and...

The Park View may have been one of the sophisticated hotels in the 1920s, but it looks like it has barely been vacuumed or cleaned since then. Adventures: Room 1: 1 cm of water on the bathroom floor, with more water dripping through the ceiling. OK, they had a second room for us. Room 2: only 2 towels total. OK,...

This hotel, at 240CUC per night is absolutely awful. We were unable to regulate the temperature in the freezing room, and ended up having to wear coats to bed. There was no hot water in the shower, and the room was very basic - not good value for money, even on Cuban standards. The lift works intermittently and never stops...

The Park View is in a good location near the Malecon and various museums but the place is otherwise unattractive. We had no hot water and the front desk was dismissive when we complained. The room was dirty (although the bedding was clean, thank goodness) and smelled of fumigant. Two weak lightbulbs were the only illumination. We were told that...

This hotel will take some time to become highly rated. Too many problems for most travelers. However, The people are all nice & apologetic when there is a problem. The negatives: We only had hot water in our room 3 of the 5 days. The phone at the hotel was down. Wi-Fi is not free. You must purchase a card...

The elevator is slow, as most. During busy times, you have to walk up the stairs. Free breakfast is typical. Not bad, not great. But fills you up. Front desk is really helpful. Nice. New bathroom, modern. Rooms small of course. Very good location, IMO. A bit expensive, but they are all up in price in the last few years.

Even being a seasoned traveller I found searching for accommodation in Havana difficult. Prices have gone up with change in the political landscape however services are still on the improve but not at the same pace...you calculus and economics scholars will understand where I am going with this...from Western Standards a good hotel in Havana...probably will be even better by...

Everything in this hotel is bad, except the location and the woman in the reception, she was actually nice and helpful. The whole place is in a bad need of refurbishment. The double room was so small you couldn't even open two suitcases at once on the floor (there was no furniture provided for this purpose). Worst of all was the...
