This hotel is quite big and has a beautiful view of the sea. It is far from the historical center but you can easily take a cab to join the center. The swimming pool is huge and people are nice. I enjoyed to have a balcony.

Room was spacious and very clean. Location good for Old Havana, we did the city tour which was wonderful and informative. The walking tour was fascinating. We were only there for three nights but managed to see all that we wanted too and by the way the entertainment in the evenings was very good. Would recommend this hotel if you...

Propaganda can do much to distort one's view on what to expect. That said, as a USA citizen, I found the hotel to be very good, beautiful, modern, a spacious room, and a huge breakfast buffet. WI-FI was available in the lobby - reception in the rooms was sparse. The room was chilly, and I finally figured out how to...

Here’s the good & the bad: GOOD: LOCATION: Located outside of downtown Havana (15-20 mins) which gave it a resort feel. The multiple daily shuttles to downtown which we took over our 5-day stay made it convenient. AMBIANCE: Except for the buffet restaurant, there were bands playing salsa, cha cha & bachata every night. ROOM: After having issues with our...

We got sold an "upgrade" to this hotel for the last two nights of our holiday. This is supposed to be a five star hotel yet when we arrived after a seven hour coach ride from cayo coco the porters didn't even attempt to help with our bags, my partner had to carry our cases up the stairs into the...

Dear VickyM1981. Thank you very much for taking your time to let us know about your stay at The Melia Habana Hotel. We are sorry to know that our porters did not help you with the luggage at your arrival, there is no excuse for that, if they are busy with other luggage, they have to ask you if you...

The hotel Melia Habana was a good stay. I knew what to expect when I arrived and was surprised on how good the hotel was. The staff was amazing! Adrienne was a doll. She was extremely helpful! The pool area is nice and well kept. The pool restaurant was decent. The breakfast to me had plenty to offer. The hotel...

This hotel is so so. Perhaps good by Cuban standards, but nothing special. The rooms are spacious but I found the bed hard and uncomfortable. Bathroom is spacious but tiles are old, stained and ugly. The WiFi login/password is complex and the connection keeps dropping all the time forcing you to re-enter it. Annoying. And it's slow too. Why not...

We stayed a The Melia Habana for 4 nights in a sea view double room. The hotel is large and well furnished with a number of different restaurants on the ground floor laid out in a village square atmosphere. The first floor and reception area has lots of different sitting areas with a bar at one end and reception at...

What is memorably good about the Melia Habana is the several restaurants, with good food, to choose from , the spacious guestroom and nightly entertainment as well as ad hoc entertainment throughout the day. Pool was lovely but the adjacent beach was uninviting and seemed inaccessible. Built like a courtyard there are hanging plants from every floor creating the effect...

Our group of 40 had a good experience. One of the best in places to stay in Havana. A little isolated from downtown but has great amenities. Lots of restaurants and bars within the hotel. A really great breakfast buffet. Our room was a little outdated but very comfortable and quiet. The pool area was also very nice. I enjoyed...

Dear Matt W: Thank you very much for sharing your very good impressions about our Meliá Havana hotel you consider a "great place to stay in Havana" and where your group had a good experience. Certainly we are a little distant from the historical center of the city and therefore, throughout the day, we offer our guests a free bus...

“Check out the breakfast bufet”
of 5 bubbles mattwU6968VZ, 2 weeks ago | Read review
“Beautiful, spacious rooms with nice decks. If you can get an ocean view, that would be phenomenal. The air conditioning was a little lacking but not unmanageable. You need the converter plug if you are using US made equipment like blow dryer. Blow dryer worked in bath, but cord was very short, making it difficult to use. Small issue for such a nice experience.”
