So-so space, great beach, great proximity to Havana, very pretty, polite and pleasant prostitutes who do take no for an answer, service so surly that made it delightfully fun when some staff were so awesome they should have a hotel built around them. It's a great base to explore from, recover from too much rum at and is generally a... More

Best beach stretch in Havana City is located to the eastern part of it, in an area called Playas del Este, just about 25 minutes away from downtown Havana. Tropicoco Hotel is wisely located a few feet away from the water and even though it should not be a choice for Luxury seekers, not for tourists but rather for travelers,... More

Well, this is my 4th trip to Tropicoco in the past 2 years, and my last. I am sad to say that all the small things that made this resort attractive (other than price) are now mostly gone. The food is worse, the service (except for a few) does not exist... and the once clean rooms are now roach infested,... More

Its' new nickname < Tropicaca > is well deserved and is reflective on what this hotel is. This is my second visit. My first in September 2011 was good. The food was very acceptable and there were choices, not many, but at least enough to satisfy most taste buds. I came here again in June 2016 not expecting anything better... More

I used to live in cuba 6 years ago, and back then Tropicoco was a good economical option. I took my girlfriend for her first time to Cuba and we both agree to stay at tropicoco because it was closer to the beach however, it was a really big mistake.Today, I do not recommend this hotel to nobody. First of... More

Well folks I have just returned from a weeklong stay at the Tropicoco and this will mark my last time to this hotel as I know it, it will be completely gutted and redone with a new name. As some of you may know, this hotel has been around since the sixties and was in dire need of a complete... More

Not expensive and was ok for just sleeping there. Lucky I had all inclusive for the bar because I was always out for lunch and diner. Breakfast was ok at the hotel. The beach was across the street so it was good. The staff was ok nothing great. If you want to visit Havana, the taxi in front of the... More

Good value for the price you pay at this hotel. Definitely for more seasoned travelers who aren't looking for a resort experience. The hotel is rough around the edges but is also charming and quirky with a variety of colourful people. If you have an easy going attitude, can make your own fun and are able to roll with the... For the price this is a good place to stay. This is my second time staying here and I will be back again. The beach is always amazing. The food has gotten better and for lunch & dinner they always have some nice fresh fish, stewed meats, rice, breads, fruits and desserts and a great omelet station for breakfast. Great... More
