I visited with a group in November. The property is in a nice area and the building itself has soooo much potential in terms of structure however the hotel should NOT be in operation. Only one elevator was working during my four night stay. The hotel is dirty, luckily i brought my own sheets, towel and washcloths based on the reviews. Rooms were moldy, and dusty. The breakfast was nasty and sanitation is clearly not a priority at the hotel. I must say the staff we interacted were friendly but the hotel is nasty
This hotel should not exist. It seems like someone found abandoned old hotel that must have been demolished but somehow it is forgotten, hooked up power ant tries to make money on it. Nothing to say all stuff in hotel is broken and windows have not been wiped for a several years. It seems like the pool was cleaned a half year ago and just a man scatters some desinfectant every morning. Food is awful (same as in all Cuba except very expensive places). Coffee in coffeepot is instant Nescafe. There is only one elevator for 25 story building and you will share it with staff with big carts with sheets, towels and detergents. If you have room lower 15th level you may wait 4-5 times and see off full elevator that took people with luggage on higher levels and already full. It is very far from center of the Havana (10 kms) so to get into the Havana you will spent 10 CUC for oldtimer on one way. There is no even paid internet. No traditional air conditioner (split system). There is some very old window conditioner but it roars much louder and mighter that cheels air.…
Worst Hotel ever, cancelled Booking for 2 nights without getting any money back, but glad we did. Dirty rooms, dirty pool, dirty sheets and only one elevator working, had too share elevator with the staff. Overall the building was in a poor condition, and so was the furnitures and beds.

I went to this hotel by recommendation. I was there 25 years ago. No bad for hat time. Now, after a two hours waiting for my luggage, I arrived at the premises of th hotel at midnight. They gave me a dilapidated room. The furniture was shabby, the bathroom was dirty, with a curtain full of mold, and it smelled like a bar of bad death. There was not a single piece of furniture in good condition. But worst of all was the cleanliness of the room. There was so much dirt that I accumulated it in a corner and told the governor to see by herself. All this after three days of complaints and claims. That night, when I went to dinner, I had to wait an hour for a fish with rice that was very badly done, without flavor or condiments. The Currency Exchange service is discriminatory. As I had complained on several occasions, they did not want to change Euros in Cuban pesos. The people at the reception were, in general, quite unpleasant and arrogant. The lobby bar is run by very unpleasant people and they have no sense of what customer service is. Breakfast was not too bad, but they do not reach the cutlery and when one asks to bring a plate, it takes 15-20 minutes. And when the plate arrives, it is totally wet. Coffee at the restaurant is the worst. At night the noise around the room does not let one sleep well.…
