Fernando and Mauricio were the best waiters ever! We were super well looked after and had the best time. Highly reccomend this place in central Havana - great place to chill out and have a glass of wine or a cuba libre!
There are certainly more expensive, more modern, recently renovated and impressive looking hotels in Havana but the Parque Central beats them all. Maybe it’s the friendliness of the people who work there or the fact that everything, and I mean everything works like a well oiled machine. The air-conditioning is a treat, the foyer bar “El Portico” has nightly music and the bar I believe is open 24 hours, a pleasure after a long flight into a different time zone. There is a cigar lounge and a couple of shops although it should be stressed that getting anything in Cuba from sun lotion to an aspirin can be a challenge. The hotels position cannot be beaten on the edge of Old Havana and only a short stagger back after a few too many Daquiris at La Floridita. With classic cars parked in the square infront of the hotel and regular taxis ensure you are never waiting long for a ride. Or stroll across to the Hotel Telegrafo, the Inglaterra or the swanky Manzana for a look around, you’ll see what I mean and all just two minutes away. As well as the two main restaurants in the hotel there’s plenty to choose from close by and the standard is very good considering the problems they face getting some staple ingredients. The design of the rooms is ideal for a short or long stay and if you are lucky enough to get a suite you’ll have plenty of room to enjoy. I never waited more than a minute for one of the 3 lifts and access to the swimming pool on floor 9 can just as easily be made easily from floor 8. The pool area and bar are lovely, a life guard is on duty all day with comfortable hammocks and fresh towels and just the right amount of shade, the pool staff are happy to chat and ensure your comfort. The pool bar staff and waiters are also delighted to see you and serve you some tasty food either poolside or in the bar area with spectacular views over Old Havana. A great place for a sundowner. I stayed in the older part of the hotel where I believe the spa and gymnasium are being renovated but the temporary gym in one of the suites is fine with a treadmill and stationary bike along with free weights. People I met who were staying at the hotel’s modern wing were just as enthusiastic but did like the ambiance of the old hotel’s foyer bar. I would stay here again in a heartbeat, it really is a lovely hotel. …
We had a great stay at the hotel in late February/early March. Ideally located, clean, tasty food and drinks, and fantastic staff (especially Edwin and Miguel at the concierge desk). We stayed in the modern section. The room was spacious, with comfortable beds and a large bathroom with a very nice shower. Connection to colonial side of the hotel was easy through tunnel under the street. Breakfast was included and was enough to get our days going. Food at the rooftop bar was great (kids loved the hamburgers), and poolside service was exceptional. We had one dinner in the Mediterranean restaurant. It was a very nice meal with plenty of selection. Location is very central in Havana. Tons to see and experience. However, it is very touristy. Lots of people asking you outside if you want rides or need to exchange money, if you need directions to restaurants, etc. You can't walk very far without having someone ask you something. Both pools are amazing, but our favourite was the one on the roof of the colonial section. It was a perfect place to relax, enjoy a dip, or get a refreshing cocktail. What really made our stay lovely was the staff. From the restaurant staff to the people cleaning the rooms to the front desk, concierge and door staff, everyone was very pleasant and helpful. This friendliness is very much appreciated when you are visiting a new city.…
A lovely, friendly hotel centrally located, the staff were all very friendly and helpful, from the reception to maids and bar and restaurant staff, I’m used to having relatively friendly staff but this was at a much higher level. The rooms were large and well appointed, perhaps not quite at the same level as a European five star but a very good standard.
Parque Central is our go hotel when we stay in Havana! After 30 plus trip to Havana we are never disappointed staying here. The rooms are clean, showers and sink have hot water. On this particular visit there was no hot water in the shower one night and we reached out to Consuelo the night manager. She sent a tech within minutes and he resolved the issue quickly. We can always rely on great service at PC, which is one of the main reasons we keep returning. This time we accompanied by 2 friends who had never stayed in PC before. They also liked their rooms, the staff, the food and the service. Yani, captain in the lobby bar, and her team served us many times during our stay. Yani is the consumate professional, managing the staff and the flow of food and drinks always having the clients' needs in mind. She is a huge asset to Parque Central! We really enjoyed the bar in the mezzanine where we were served by Roxana and Yusenia every evening. We were always greeted with a smile and great service. It's a joy being around people who love their jobs and make clients feel welcome! Thank you to Consuelo, Yani and team, Roxaan and Yusenia! We will be back in March 2023.…
A group of 3 of us stayed here for 4 nights. This hotel is in a perfect location for exploring Havana. Soon as you step out of the hotel you see the beautiful theatre building and amazing vintage cars. Be prepared for people to hassle you as you walk past them as they are selling tours. We stayed in a junior suite in the modern section, it was very spacious, we had 2 beds & a pull out bed. The room was decent for Cuba standards. Pillows and beds were comfy. There was plenty of space for all of our belongings. There were dispensers for handwash, shampoo & body wash. The bathroom had a bath tub and walk in shower. There was a good sized mirror. The water from the shower would flood the floor every time we used it, this was annoying. There was a good sized fridge so we put drinks in there. There isn't any shops nearby that sell snacks or drinks. Luckily we took some drinks with us so we used these, and ordered drinks with our meals. Most of the staff were really nice, the guys at concierge were helpful. The WiFi was good, food was hit & miss. We found that there were no sides on the menus & we found it annoying how you could only have french fries with sandwiches or baguettes. We enjoyed seeing the sunset on the rooftop. You get a nice view of the local area. Both pools at the hotel weren't heated, so it was too cold to get in, the hot tub wasn't working throughout our stay. The spa was also closed down since covid lockdowns & hadn't reopened. This was disappointing. Overall we enjoyed our stay. The location is so central and was ideal as it was our first time in Havana. …
This hotel is in a prime location for exploring old Havana. Its split into two (an older/main and a newer side) and accessed through a walkway in-between. Both sides have rooftop pools and panoramic views. The main side has the best views of the Capitol building. We stayed on the newer side. Room was very clean and tidy, however, the noise of the road outside (particularly with the old cars) was very loud, even with ear plugs but if you are heavy sleeper no issue! Staff were very helpful and friendly. Foodwise, we only ate breakfast at the hotel. Plenty of basic options but for me, it was all about the Egg lady, freshly made to order omlettes very morning. We booked through Tui, so the rep was able to advise on things to do, they also arranged a trip in the nicest open top old car in the whole of Havana - tours were EURO/$40 per hour. I'd seen a few reviews about people jumping on you as soon as you left the hotel. There are lots of people offering things in Havana (cigars, money exchange, taxis, dancing), you will say 'No, Gracias' probably about a 100 times a day - However, if you werent interested, they didnt push the point and left you alone, I didnt think this was an issue at all. Would recommend this hotel as an ideal base for exploring.…
We stayed here with our kids for 3 nights. Hotel is in the nice aria where you can walk places with activities. Our room was very clean and they cleaned it nicely every day. There is a beautiful pool on the roof with a beautiful view of the city and the sea. Foods were great and all the employees of the hotel was very respectful and positive We also met Mr. Jose Luis Martinez who is sub director of the hotel he was very helpful and nice to us. We will comeback to Cuba for sure and this is the hotel that we are going to stay again.
We went to the roof pool. The view is stunning. The staff is friendly and attentive. The pool side drinks are great. The food snacks served by the pool are good, except their sandwiches. The croquettes were good. The pizza was tasty. The pool is not heated.
Location, location, location. Couldn't get a better location. Across the street from Central Parque, the Capitol, the Teatro Habana, Museum of the Revolution and Cuban art gallery. All the old cars congregate at Central Parque. Walking distance to all sites in Old Havana. Decent rooms with fantastic roof top pool and bar. But what always makes or breaks a place are the people, and the staff at Parque Centrale are friendly, helpful and accommodating. The staff are knowledgeable and will assist in setting up taxis, old car tours or if you're walking with directions and recommendations. Great stay.
