My son and I arrived late from Ecuador and a full day of travelling - and checked in around midnight. After to-ing and fro-ing over whether we had booked and paid for two rooms (not one as they wanted us to have) we finally got to sleep in rooms that smelled like people had

The Hotel is nothing special, rooms are old and (after Europa standard) are not so good. But it is placed on the best spot in Havana. And the cafe is very good.one of the servants Raoul is fantastic Remember to give a little more than the bill is on. So you will never wait, you

Got this because of low price. Woke up every night because of the screaming coming from the street. They gave same room card for another customer. We were inside room when she walken in. Got unsecure feel. Bartender stole money from me. Dont recommend.

Pretty good hotel for the price. I haven't stayed in many places in Cuba at this price range that doesn't have quirks but it is a great little hotel and conveniently located with a decent place for basic sustenance and quick drinks

This hotel is a in my opinion a great value for what you get. First impression is good when you walk in and see the great lobby. The front desk workers can be a little rude but get you whatever you need. The elevator likes to take its time but most elevators in Cuba are like

hola :) i just answered a question about the Colina, a few days ago. And i just booked a Colina package out of Winnipeg for a week in March. I've stayed there 3 times in the last 12 months, no major problemas. When you check in ask for the room, and if not available it will probably be available the next day. I've switched rooms there a few times. No problems. Enjoy! ps - if you bedding doesn't smell FRESH ask to get it changed, no problema :) ps - the senoritas at the front desk love love love good gum :)

hola :) I've stayed there 3 times for a week each in the last 12 months. Decent Cuban hotel. From Canada with a trip package it really is steal. Basic hotel, very safe, about a 30 to 40 minute walk to Vieja or a $7 CUC taxi ride, the taxis are always waiting for customers outside. The Colina is a 6 story hotel i think built in the 50s. Ask for a room on the 5th floor or lower (water pressure) on the front or sides of the hotel. If you do go there and you are given a room that you are not happy with, there are some unhappy room there, it should no problem to get a room change. If possible try and get a upper floor corner suite. Nice! Decent small breakfast, enough to eat, some meat & eggs, juice & coffee. It has a good little bar open 24/7 with excellent coffee. The staff there really really really enjoy gum, the gum can help with service :) Just remember it is a basic Cuban hotel that was built in the 50s, but for Cuba, muy bueno! ps - from here in Winnipeg the most i've paid is $800 CAN for a week package, flight, airport transfer from Varadero airport & back with hotel room with breakfast. A deal! pss - very safe around there even at 4 in the morn. If you book i hope you enjoy and sssssshh keep it quiet, the more people that know about the Colina, the more the price will be, and i have a feeling the price is really gonna increase in the near future because of the Americans. You have chose a good time to go!! :) I will be back to Colina!!

hola :) Check out Sunwing. I've stayed there 3 times and have booked the package, air & hotel with Sunwing. Good deals! Colina a decent affordable Cuban hotel. If you stay try not to get the 6th floor, very very very low water pressure. Enjoy! :)

There is a bus going to the beaches in front of the Hotel Inglattera. It is a bit from the Colina. Take a cab the first time. The best money exchange near you is at the National Hotel. Very good exchange.
