Not worth to pay the money. The hotel is in renovation. The rooms are super old and not as clean as you would expect. We complain about the cold water. The staff are in general nice but again the service is not to the level a 5 stars hotel has to deliver.

Dated is an understatement. This hotel clearly has not been updated since it was built. Even the soft furnishings are a throw back from the 50s.The rooms a really spacious but cold - I had to take the sheets off the spare bed as it was so cold over night! Lifts can take 15 mins to arrive. There was only 2 working whilst I was there. Buffet breakfast had a good variety of food. The only plus side was the view from the room. i would recommend staying in the old town if coming to Havana.

Currently staying here for my Birthday trip. The day we checked in we were escorted to our room only to find out we were given the wrong room which was apparently assigned in advance by the Manager! So they basically tried to cheat me but I’m always on my A game so I went straight back down & complained. The member of staff apologised & made excuses & assigned me the correct room! I booked this particular room at this hotel because it seems to be the most modern update room in Havana. On entering the room we discovered our safe wasn’t working, it took them a few good hours to send up the engineer who said the battery needed changing! This wasn’t completed till the following day so we had to keep our valuables on us which was extremely inconvenient. The elevators take forever especially during peak hours & being on the 23rd floor we couldn’t exactly walk down the steps! The room is a decent size, the water in the shower doesn’t get that hot & there’s no plug sockets near the bathroom mirror for you to shave or blow dry your hair! The service is completely slow we waited over an hour to get a face cloth/ wash cloth which are not in the rooms! We had breakfast once as it was included in our room, the options were pretty ok but very basic & bland. The pool was very nice & relaxing, great for swimming & sunbathing. You can exchange money at the hotel desk so don’t worry about having to do it at the airport! You’re taxi driver will wait for you to check in & change it over. It’s great that you don’t have to do a credit card hold... The only bonus lol:-) On our travels around Havana we did see some newer hotels but our trip was pretty last minute so most hotels were fully booked. This was literally the next best option, I just wish the Manager would have apologised for all the inconvenience at the beginning.

We where a party of four excited to see Havana the superior rooms through TUI do not have any resemblance to the pictures ours baths filled and painted which where rusty, taps hanging off the wall no hot water rotten wood throughout, no access to balcony handle missing a miserable three nights a total rip off when we paid over £8,000 for a two centre holiday to be offered £100 voucher which equals £25 per person it certainly didn't make me smile !!!!!!

For the price you pay - this truly is a rip off - The first hotel room we got was on floor 12 - they had no air con and no shower pressure and no hot water. The room was really bad - decor was straight out the 60's - but the view was incredible - so I will give them that. When we went to complain - they guest manager knew immediately what the issues were und gave us rooms on the 14th floor - which was crazy different. We had a sea view - which was amazing - and the room was basic - but nicely decorated - ( I would compare it to the clean look of a premier inn - so nothing to justify it's 4 star hotel rating). DO NOT order room service - the food is terrible - they microwave deep fried chips - we ordered on 2 different days - so not just a fluke - their burgers were stale - pizza dry and sandwiches were not edible. Even their coffee was microwaved and then cling filmed. Wifi is an expensive affair at 4CUC a pop - in comparison to 1CUC in surrounding hotels. To be honest the view and the 14th floor rooms saved this from a 1 star review.
