My favorite Casa in Havana! It has all comforts you need. From the balcony you look out on Belascoaín and a little to the right you see the Malecón and the sea. But the most wonderful place is the terrace, where you can have breakfast under the blue sky (if you order it a day in advance) The location is, in my opinion, perfect. (Of course I like Habana Vieja a lot, but I do not want to live there.) It is located on Belascoaín between Neptuno and Concordia and it is maybe five to ten minutes walk from Hotel Inglaterra (at El Prado opposite Parque Central). San Rafaél is a nice street to walk on towards El Prado. To the Malecón, it is no more than a five minute walk. On Neptuno there are all kinds of taxis, westward. If you want to take a taxi to Habana Vieja, you can take it from Concordia or from other streets south of Neptuno, where the traffic goes east towards Habana Vieja. Best of all is the hostess, Leonor or Leo as she is called. She is very, very nice and extremely service-minded. In addition, she speaks English! Have a nice stay there! /Mikael (Stockholm)…
If you want to have a "shook" book this accommodation. It's a room in an apartment with no window located in a dirty area in Havana ( yes its closed to centre) with dubiously people on the street. The building is an old building with risk of collapse like other building in the neighbourhood. The host is ok but helps nothing. If you want a safe and clean location to spend your holiday....run away from the center of Havana, especially from this house! I have left the house and no refund received.
Nora arranged a taxi from the airport for us which was very helpful because it is very busy when you come out of the airport, we were greeted by Nora with a cold drink. We hd breakfast each morning served by a sister of fruit and eggs cooked anyway we liked, coffee was great. There was water in the fridge every day. Central Havana is rundown but we felt safe all the time even late at night. Nora showed us the difference between the 2 currencies before we went out which was very helpful. We had the room at the top of the casa and it was worth climbing all the stairs, we had the use of a terrace and we could people watch in the evening when we got home. A great place to stay
Very friendly and professional hosts that give you all the information you need. Clean rooms with AC and good breakfast. The area is pretty ran down, but the property is at walking distance to all the places you might want to visit. Also, the internet connection offered is so slow that you basically can use it only during night.
The owner is juste so nice and has the sense of welcome. We can feel sincerity and investment for their customers. Rooms are good, Clean, water in the fridge, air Conditioning, soap in the bathroom ( soap is not everywhere in casa particular), wifi. Food are good as well.when you need something,Léo is always here to help you. We slept 4 nights. You feel like at your home . Muchas gracias por Todos!!
When we booked this B&B it was initially for one night, because we did not really had our things planned for our whole trip. Nora offered a taxi to collect us from the airport, which we refused. We wanted to see local and be local. Upon our arrival we were greeted very friendly and Nora explained to us the difference between the monies Cuba have. THANK YOU, I think it saved us quite a bit, because we wouldn't have known that the bars and the ice cream man gave us the wrong change if she did not educate us! The house is clean, organised and you feel at home. We checked out to visit Valadero, and upon our return decided to check in with Nora and her family again! This is a great place to visit. In the heat the rooms has working aircons, fridges, fans and en-suite bathrooms. The breakfast we had was fresh and the coffee great! When we ever visit Cuba again, this will be our first stop!…
We didn't had the chance to meet Nora but we were very well welcomed by her sisters and family who were lovely, we were given a lot of information about Havana and advices on what to do (and not to do). Breakfast was delicious and in very nice environment where we were chatting and discussing as friends. The casa is pretty well located, at walking distance from almost everything. It's also very nice that we could have drinking water for free anytime needed. The casa is also very clean with we need, AC, hot water, plugs 110v and 220v...
Have just returned from another wonderful visit to Havana - and this casa is one of the reasons why I enjoy my time in this remarkable city so much. This home away from home excels in all the things that are most important to me : it is very safe, exceptionally clean, well situated, and has a remarkably warm and welcoming atmosphere. Nora and her entire staff go out of their way to make us all feel as though we are valued members of this extended Cuban family. A sincere thank you to Lyria, Yanelli, Lillivet, and all the crew for providing me with yet another warm and wonderful Cuban experience. Hasta luego! Tom, (Peterborough, Canada)
It was like a second family in Cuba. Nora is a marvelous person and a very heartwarming host, her family and her staff are equal in making you feel welcome in Havana. Besides that, the house is beautiful, clean and very well located. If I ever come back to Cuba, I will definitely be in this amazing place again.
The house and the rooms were very clean with air cond. The breakfast costs 5 cuc,but the quantity of the food is not enough even for a kid and you get up from the table hungry. You have to wait for a long time to get your breakfast too, sitting on an empty table. But the main problem is,that somebody from the working staff there steals money from the rooms. The rooms were cleaned every day,so it 's somebody from the cleaning staff. While we have walked around the city, somebody from the cleaning staff checks the rooms for money and steals. My money was stolen from the pocket of my jacket. From my room was stolen 50 euro and from the room of my friends 100 cuc, which is 100usd..I am absolutely sure that the money were stolen, because I kept the receipt from the ATM together with the money and I knew the exact amount, but the thief hasn't noticed that. There are safety cameras outside, but nobody knows what's happening in the rooms, when we are not there. So I write this review mostly to warn the new visitors of this house just to be careful. Also I want to warn the owners of the house, who are very nice people, that they must find who from their staff steals and to be fired, because this is bad for the image of the house and their business. We are tourists, but it doesn't mean we get our money for free.We work hard for it.We didn't notify the hosts, because there was no way the theft to be proved .There was no point to argue about it and to ruin my vacation.…
