Our stay at The Bellefonte Bonaire couldn't have been more perfect! From beautiful views of the water, palms, and passing sailboats to gorgeous sunsets in the evening (and an occasional colorful parrot or parakeet) all from our balcony! Rooms are spacious, clean, comfortable and well equipped. Grounds are beautiful and well kept! And location is great with dive/snorkeling sites close by (including a private entry straight off of the private dock) and a dive shop across the street for all equipment. Great restaurants close by as well! But most of all the staff made us feel so welcomed and like we were home away from home, but in paradise! We were treated so graciously like family. And each and everyone were so kind, engaging and accommodating! Everything was perfect! Thanks for a fantastic stay!! Already planning our next visit and our stay wont be anywhere but at the Bellefonte!!!

We were looking for a beautiful destination to celebrate my 50th birthday and I have to say it was paradise!  From start to finish everything was perfect!!  We arrived at the airport after a long day of travel from Toronto and connecting in Miami. There was a taxi waiting for us to bring us to the hotel. We had arranged a truck rental through the hotel with AB Car rental and it was ready for us the evening we arrived. Parking is a little tight but you figure out how to get in and out of the lot safely.  Upon Arrival we were greeted in the office by Juul and offered a refreshing drink to toast our week. I had a glass of wine and my partner had a beer. Perfect start! We were given a tour of the property and our room and they offered to make us dinner reservations and any other tours we might want to check out.  I had arranged the grocery package and it was waiting for us in our room We had booked a Superior Studio room and it was very clean and bigger than expected. The King Sized bed was super comfortable and the air conditioning worked well. There was a little terrace with a table and two chairs to sit on and a rack to dry off your clothes/dive gear.   The bathroom was very modern and the towels were soft. It had a rainforest shower head and separate hose to rinse your feet. The hand soap and shower gel were really nicely scented and not too overpowering.  On our second day it was my partner's birthday and we came back to the room to find balloons and decorations and a bottle of bubbly and a nice note from the staff. It's moments like this that you remember long after the holiday is over. The special touches set the place apart.  The hotel has an amazing covered dock/pier that has lounge chairs and access into the water. There is no sandy beach but do not let that impact your decision to stay here. The water is crystal clear blue and you can snorkel / dive right off the pier. It's like swimming in an aquarium. There are do many colourful fish on the reef and at night you can see tarpon and barracuda swimming under the dock.  Next door to the hotel is "The Beach" restaurant that has amazing food. The vibe is really chill over there and they will deliver food to you right on the pier. You simply press a button and place your order and voila.. In the breezeway of the hotel you will find ice cold water available. The water is safe to drink without worry. They have one pure water and then one with variations of fruits/cucumber inside.  On Thursday there is the guest appreciation event happy hour. You get to meet Yordi and the other staff and guests. They serve you drinks and appetizers and it's really nice and relaxed.  I have traveled to many places and have never experienced the level of service we had in Bonaire. The people who work here are top notch.. they truly go above and beyond to make your stay memorable.  Thank you so much to Kristen, Juul, Steven, Noa, Simone, Caitlin, Yordi and anyone who's name I might have forgotten. Keep doing what you are doing! You are all gems!  The week went by too fast! We will certainly return to Bonaire and The Bellafonte.

Bellafonte has a wonderful atmosphere and a beautiful view. Our family of three was welcomed by the kind staff who took care of reservations and spoiled us with snacks and drinks during our stay. The room had every amenity we desired. Our primary goal was to dive and relax. Bellafonte delivered- We found all resources to scuba dive at our fingertips and their pier & pool were a private oasis!

My 19-year old son and I stayed at the Bellafonte and were wowed. 😍 It is a tranquil and gorgeous hotel where the staff is lovely and so helpful. Everything is done with thought and care. And the location with the pier is truly a piece of heaven. You can snorkel on their house reef right off the pier, cool off in the plunge pool and get drinks and food delivered to you from the neighboring restaurant, The Beach, with the push of a button. I highly recommend their mojito! 😊 Snorkeling to the south is only a 5-10 minute drive, including the Salt Pier, which is a fascinating dive and you can pick up free salt! The town of Kralendijk is only a 10 minute drive north for more 'bustle,' restaurants and shops. Can't recommend The Bellafonte enough!!!! ❤️

Had an amazing Memorial Day Weekend at the beautiful Bellafonte Hotel in Bonaire. My first time to the island but certainly won't be my last. From the moment I arrived, I was treated incredibly well by hotel staff - offered a cold beverage and received a thorough explanation of the island and the hotel grounds by the trainees. My studio room was beautifully decorated and well appointed - full kitchen with top notch appliances, great shower/water pressure, and nice pillow selection. You have the ability to order room service from the restaurant next door, The Beach. Should you wish to get groceries, they can arrange that as well. Right in front of the hotel you can jump in the water from the dock and enjoy snorkeling in the pristine water. The hotel is also within walking distance to two great beaches I checked out during my stay--Bachelor's Beach and Te Amo Beach. The hotel is happy to arrange any excursions for you as well. My return flight home was delayed more than 2 hours and they were kind enough to offer me a late check-out past 3PM without charge. Do not hesitate to book this place! You will not be disappointed. Thank you so much for a memorable stay, Bellafonte - keep up the good work. Hope to return soon!

For our 30th anniversary, we booked a week in a senior suite at the Bellafonte. We had never before visited Bonaire, and we loved everything about the Bellafonte. The suite was beautifully furnished, had great amenities, and what a beautiful ocean view! Every time we asked anything of the staff, it was met with a smile. Each one of them seemed genuinely happy to answer questions and to help us. They helped me decide a good restaurant for dinner on our anniversary, they made the reservation for us, and while we were at dinner, they decorated our suite with a Happy Anniversary banner, rose petals, and a complimentary bottle of bubbly. One of our favorite things was sitting on the private pier each night and watching the tarpon swim in the crystal clear water. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

We completely enjoyed the Bellafonte. The location is wonderful. The room was exceptionally nice, with a full kitchen and a large balcony overlooking the resort and the ocean. We could also see the lights of the town at night from our balcony. The staff were very friendly and attentive. They went out of the way to make our stay enjoyable.

This is a beautiful property all around. I felt like it was Downton Abby when we rolled up in the free transfer van (that was outside waiting after we received out luggage) from the airport because the staff was lined up to greet us. They were super friendly and offered us a drink using the green cactus liqueur along with Prosecco. The staff oriented us with a map then took us up to our two bedroom Penthouse and gave us a tour. The Penthouse we stayed in was owned by a Swedish family. It was outstanding with a well stocked kitchen, including a coffee pot and a nice Nespresso. We needed help deciphering how to work the microwave and cooktop but a hotel clerk came right up immediately and demonstrated it for us. Both bedrooms had balconies. Each had a nice bathroom with rain shower heads and ample closet space. The beds were very comfortable and the four of us all slept very well. Our balcony wrapped around the penthouse giving us great views. There is a small plunge pool which was just fine for us because we swam off the long pier that had very nice lounge chairs with thick cushions. When snorkeling off the pier, you will see all kinds of tropical fish. At night the light attracts huge tarpon. There are also nice one person hammocks. There is a nice restaurant next door, only about 100 steps away. You have to step outside of the property to go to the restaurant but we didn’t find it much of a big deal. The food is very expensive. The Bellafonte staff will take orders for drinks or food and deliver it to you while outside using the lounge chairs. The staff also delivered us treats, like frozen grapes while sunning on the pier. It was a delightful place to hang out. You will need transportation, especially if diving. We rented a truck in a package and that is definitely the way to go because it was so easy. The truck was waiting for us with the papers to rent it in the penthouse. The truck is a standard and very basic but it hauled everything we needed. We dove with VIP diving which is connected with Bellafonte. There are locked lockers at Bellafonte so you can hang your BCD’s and wetsuits. You can also pick up your air tanks at Bellafonte if you rent from VIP or you buy your air package from Bellafonte. They also have Nitrox but you will have to go to VIP to show your cards. VIP Diving is rated #1 by TripAdvisor and I see why. They are a first class outfit with outstanding service. We rented a private boat to dive for two days and hired a guide to take us on our first shore dive to teach us how to enter and exit which helped a lot. We had a new diver with us so that was important for her safety. I think the Bellafonte is the nicest property in Bonaire. They are building a new all-inclusive as I write this that may be nicer or as nice. It is across from VIP Diving. I highly recommend staying a Bellafonte. It is a super clean property and the housekeeping in the penthouse was wonderful. I don’t know what the smaller units are like, but the Bellafonte service is absolutely wonderful. Kudos to the employees.

The Bellefonte was a great place to stay during our first time visit to Bonaire. Great location ! They have a walk out pier right to the ocean & a restaurant next door. Located not far from the airport and just outside of town on the south side of the island (diving - even have tanks there at the hotel) . What is more important is there accommodating staff. Anything you need, they do not hesitate in accommodating you. From little things you need at here place to arranging great dinners at local restaurants. Professional staff an very clean accommodations as far as the room itself. Bed was great for sleeping ! We would stay there again when we return. Fantastic vacation.
