Dana Bosman and her boyfriend John Den Besten run this place. They are notorious scammers, cheats and scammers. Go here at your peril. Send money and you will never see it again. They had to flee France owing several thousand euros.
I was suppose to stay at this property, but after reading many other reviews, I changed my location and I was super glad I did. Thanks to all who reviewed this prior to me. We went by to actually look for ourselves and were truly surprised at the condition of this property. It is BAD. Really run down and looks horrible. We did not get to see in any of the rooms, just the outside. The pool was nasty green.
Horrible apartments. Everything is broken and looks awful. Owners are not honest with you. They didn't gave back our deposit. An amount of $900,-. The resort is situated in a very criminal environment. We are stolen two times in one month! Don't go here!
We just returned from a week long stay at the Yacht Club Apartments in Bonaire. We had stayed at Yacht Club five other times prior to 2010. The previous manager and owner (Yolanda) was fantastic and the property was well maintained and set up for divers. It was also set up for short time rental for vacationers. We decided to stay at Yacht Club apartments again for our recent Bonaire visit because of its convenient location and price. We were honestly shocked by the difference in the facilities when we arrived. The Yacht Club Apartments are now an apartment complex for people living on the island and are no longer really a place for vacationers who are divers. The one positive I do want to say is that the two managers we dealt with during our stay were friendly, helpful and accessible. As far as facilities though, there is no rinse tank and locked storage room for divers. Dive gear cannot be left in your truck because of theft so you have to carry your gear into your apartment at the end of each dive. The pool was a weird color of green and very dirty, the outside bathrooms and shower were no longer usable, pool chairs were broken, and the restaurant on site is no longer in business. In the apartment there was no hot water, the lighting was minimal, the mismatched random dishes in the cupboards were very dirty, the towels had stains, the kitchen faucet would not shut off so we had water dripping/running the entire visit, the walls need to be painted, the one TV was very old, the safe was rusted shut, and overall the apartments are run down and are in desperate need of renovations. The room was cleaned twice during our visit and both times, the service was great. The truck we rented had a tire that lost air and needed to be filled every other day, the inside was filthy, and the tailgate did not go down (not great for loading/unloading tanks and dive gear). The price was reasonable for the truck and apartment but again, this is NOT the same Yacht Club Apartments. When looking at pictures they have on their website, make sure to look at the dates.…
This was a bad experience. The room was still occupied when i arrived, the lady cleaned it in 15 mins.... so it wasn't really clean. The sheets where in poor condition, luckily i had my own. I booked on booking.com and they refused to give me a refund when i tried to cancel my stay when i arrived there. There were no hot water in the kitchen or the bathroom. The roof above the shower is rotting. The aircon broke twice, the second time was two days before the end of my stay and they did not even send somebody to fix it. No aircon in summer is a bad idea in Bonaire. I could hear every footstep of the people staying above me. All comments and complaints fell on deaf ears. Do not stay here, its not even close to worth it for the money they charge.
