I called Little Arches from New York when I was deciding between hotels, and spoke to the darling Myrane. The moment I heard her warm voice, I knew this was the place for me. She gave me her honest opinions, and I immediately felt I would be in safe hands at Little Arches. As predicted, my stay here was unlike that of any previous hotel stay. I stayed at Little Arches during my post-flight quarantine while awaiting my second PCR test. The room was perfect - I had my own mini paddle pool and outdoor space, and a beautiful view of the sunset and water. The living quarters were spacious and included a lovely kitchen - they lacked the sterile anonymity of many hotel rooms. That warmth was present in every interaction with staff members during my week there. The staff knew my name, and shared encouraging warm words during my isolation period. They listened attentively to all my requests, and were extremely quick to cater to my needs. Others have written this and it's true - I felt like a member of the family. When I got the all-clear and was released from quarantine, the staff celebrated with me! The location of Little Arches is also perfect. It is steps away from a lovely beach, and the hotel overlooks the ocean. Given that it is a small, adults-only establishment, I met other guests and had lovely conversations with them too. The staff and food at Cafe Luna was delicious, and the views are beautiful. At night, the hotel has a romantic feel, with fairy lights woven through the plants and trees to give it a magical aura. I can't wait to return and introduce the front desk staff to my family and friends. Little Arches provides boutique luxury, but with a warm human touch. That is always important, but during these pandemic times, going to a place where you are treated as a human being instead of just a customer means a great deal. Thank you Myrane, Mariah, Emma, and Sandra for making my stay so special!

Dear 239ara, You literally brought tears to my eyes as I read your review! Yes, we adore making our guests part of our Little Arches family but when they return that love, it makes it extra special. In these days we all need to share a little more kindness and your lovely thank you card with your artwork given to every staff member was touching and treasured. Your choice of room to quarantine was ideal as having that bit of personal outdoor space is a little retreat during quarantine and we were happy to make this time more comfortable for you. You could also still enjoy delicious room service meals from Café Luna with amazing views. We also like to have a little celebration when our guests get the all-clear given as it is a happy moment when you can now explore our beautiful island. We look forward to seeing you again and meeting your friends and family. Sandra Edwards General Manager

Hotel's Favorite
After several changes of flight and dates we made it back to Little Arches in early December. Barbados Covid rules meant we quarantined ( very comfortably) in our room there, before going on to enjoy the rest of our fortnight in this very special hotel. Sandra and team have implemented rigorous Covid procedures to make you and Little Arches staff stay safe- but these in no way interfered with the fun and relaxation we know we always find at Little Arches. The team there are like family to us, and we had some emotional, socially distanced reunions with some dear Barbados friends. We enjoyed hours of beach time on lovely (quiet!) Miami Beach across the road, chilling by the pool and great food, drinks and service in Cafe Luna. We are looking forward to returning this year, and hoping that the weekly cocktail parties that we enjoy so much an resume by then. Thank you, Little Arches, and hope to see you all again soon!

Dear Curiosity574138, Thank you for ANOTHER wonderful review! We were so missing seeing the usual faces in December and, through it all, we were so happy to help you navigate through all of the airline changes. Your return brought a little normalcy to a very unusual year. A few tears were shed as we welcomed you back to your Barbados home and we missed sharing hugs and the fun cocktail parties with you. We will continue to practice the protocols until we can get this virus wrestled to the ground – in the words of our Minister of Health “no retreat, no surrender” as we continue to try to live our best lives safely. We are so blessed to have Barbados as our home and love seeing how much you enjoy our island lifestyle Looking forward to a full on reunion with everyone in December with lots of laughter, smiling faces and, of course, hugs! There are not enough wonderful things I can say about The Little Arches stay and staff. My boyfriend and I booked The Little Arches (our first time in Barbados) for his birthday, Suite 1 with private pool for 5 nights. We were traveling from NYC during COVID-19 and had just quarantined at The Crane Resort (had the worst of the worst hotel experience). The Little Arches surpassed our expectations in every category and made Barbados a truly unforgettable memory. The room (suite 1) was gorgeous and extremely clean and just steps from Miami Beach which is one of the best beaches on the island. Housekeeping came every morning and made the room gorgeous, turned down the bed and left new towels etc. They would wait if we weren't out yet and were so lovely. The restaurant La Luna is fantastic. Everything we had on the menu (we ate there 6+ meals) was delicious and service was fast and everyone very nice. The hotel staff booked us for the best restaurants on the island, every time we had a request, they took care of it asap. Prior to our stay they even asked how they could make our stay perfect for James' birthday.

Dear Courtney, It was such a pleasure meeting yourself and the birthday boy! We are truly honored by your kind words as we pride ourselves on making everyone feel like part of our family so being a part of the birthday surprises was also an extra bonus. Please know that during such a tough time for everyone where we need to share a bit more love and kindness, you both brought such a bright light to the staff at Little Arches and Café Luna. We all cannot wait to welcoming you both back sometime in the near future. Sandra Edwards General Manager

It’s been just over a year since my husband and I stayed at the Little Arches. Every day that has passed since then, we have been dreaming and saving any spare change we can find to get back to our beloved “Barbados Family”, a name we have dubbed for the incredible staff and servers at this life-changing (no exaggeration) hotel. Traveling internationally can be exhausting (we live full-time in Chicago), but the moment we stepped into our room at the Little Arches, we instantly felt like we were at home. One of the benefits of staying in a boutique hotel like this one is that every face is familiar. From the moment you arrive to the day you leave (you won’t want to, trust me) you are treated with the love, respect, and adoration of a beloved family member who’s just come home for the holidays. Even if Café Luna (one of the island's most sought-after restaurants) wasn’t just a few steps from your room, you would be more than comfortable simply lounging in your quaint but spacious room. However, their sun deck and the pristine pool isn’t a bad alternative either if you’re looking to soak up that glorious Barbados sun. Even after a year, we feel closer than ever to the servers, bartenders (lookin’ at your Damien!), cleaning crew, and of course, the fabulous staff (Sandra and Emma are truly the best in the ‘biz). This gorgeous hotel was restored by The Cothran's (you might run into them if you’re lucky!), and it’s abundantly clear in every brick, tile, and tassel that they care so deeply about not just preserving the original Bajan architecture, but elevating it to a design degree that is unparalleled anywhere else on the island. We could not have asked for a better honeymoon location, and look forward to the day when this virus is over and we can head back to our Bajan Home again.

We stayed in a Garden Junior Whirlpool Suite for four nights. The room was peaceful and spacious, the king-sized bed was very comfortable, and the Jacuzzi on the patio was warm and a perfect venue for relaxing, with a drink at the side, after a day of exploring the island. Sandra and all of the team were superbly friendly and helpful, arranging everything we asked for, including recommendations and bookings for restaurants in the area. We made breakfast each morning in the little kitchenette, with local fruits and bread and croissants from the local Massy supermarket. The restaurant on the rooftop – Café Luna – was a beautiful location with excellent food and warm and friendly service where we enjoyed both the lunch and dinner menus. The hotel is beautifully designed and decorated with a classical Mediterranean feel (though totally unlike the modern concrete high-rise hotels now so typical of that region!). Highly recommended!

Dear Tim W We are very happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us and that you were able to relax with us at Little Arches. It always brings a smile to our faces when guests feel at home with us, as we always want them to consider us a home away from home (no cookie cutter hotel here) and we can see from your review that that is how you felt. Dining at Café Luna is always magical. Thank you for your high praise and we hope to someday welcome you back. Sandra Edwards General Manager
