This was our 4th visit to Little Arches and we had a fabulous stay. This time we stayed in room #2 which has its own private wading pool and patio as well as a fully equipped kitchen. As usual the staff went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our time at the hotel and on the island. One of the island’s top restaurants the Luna Cafe is on the roof of Little Arches. That is where we enjoyed the leisurely breakfasts (included in the room rate) looking out over the beautiful water and watching the little birds trying to snatch packets of sugar from the coffee service. A great way to start every day of our vacation. We also enjoyed several dinners at the Luna Cafe. They have an extensive menu, great food and excellent service. A great place to watch the sun set. The best beach on Barbados is just across the street from the hotel. They also have added cabanas in a fenced area on a cliff right at the waters edge. We enjoyed many hours escaping into a good read while lounging on the thick cabana cushions and sipping chilled beverages delivered by hotel staff.

Dear Stay402337 We were all so happy to welcome you back to your home away from home!! Though we are already missing your faces as the time flew by too quickly. How fun that you got to watch the birds try to snatch the packets of sugar, it truly is a sight to see lol, it is as if they just wait for our guests to come and watch them put on a show, while they are eating breakfast. We are so pleased to hear that you have enjoyed the new addition of our cliff side cabanas and that with them being there, you got to see the turtles and barracuda, while relaxing and enjoying the view. Looking forward to your return! Yours truly, Sandra Edwards General Manager

This beautiful little hotel was our perfect place. We visited Little Arches in January to get some winter sun, peace and quiet and we weren't disappointed. From the moment we arrived we felt very welcome and all the staff we met were superb. As it is so popular we spent the first 2 nights in a garden room, which was very comfortable and quiet. For the rest of the week we were lucky enough to stay in Room 1 and be completely spoilt. Our private pool and patio were just heavenly, with an amazing view of the sea and we found it very hard to leave our little piece of paradise. We did stray to the cliff top cabanas where we watched turtles and barracuda swim by and when we chose to visit the beach, that was just a minute away, Sean or Hendy came with us and set up our beds and umbrella and made sure we were settled. Men of many talents! Linda who looked after our room was such a lovely lady and made us very comfortable. There were so many personal touches. Every breakfast at Cafe Luna was delicious in such a relaxed atmosphere. Mona, Nikita and Rebecca looked after us when we dined in the evening and made the whole experience a delight. I can recommend eating any meal here but it's very popular so remember to book. Especially the Japanese nights. Very special. Michelle brightened up the day every time we bumped into her and if you hear laughing, Sandra, the Manager, was close by. Such a lovely lady and a brilliant host. The holiday flew by. What an amazing place.

Little Arches is a jewel of a boutique hotel on the south coast of Barbados, overlooking beautiful Miami Beach and a short walk to the town of Oistens, home of the famous Friday night fish fry.
Room sizes range from a typical hotel room to suites with small pools. Prices are moderate to higher end, depending on what you choose. The vibe is very calm as befits a hotel of this type in a tropical setting. The very good Cafe Luna on the top floor is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The service is personal and was outstanding during our visit. Besides making any arrangements we requested they booked a taxi for our Saturday night dinner on their own because they knew it was a busy time and they wanted to make sure our ride was covered.
At the beginning of our visit I thought Little Arches wasn’t especially well located as it is a 30-45 minute ride to a lot of the West Coast restaurants and attractions. I changed my mind later in the trip fo a couple of reasons...one, it is an easy drive from there to beautiful southeast coast beaches like Crane and Bottom Bay. Also, Miami Beach is as lovely as any of the West Coast beaches I saw but is never crowded and has a local (versus tourist) vibe.
If you are thinking about Barbados absolutely check out Little Arches!

Dear Sightseer794923 Thank you for your lovely review. You have described us here at Little Arches so well, as we believe that you should not be lifting a finger while staying with us, but just relaxing and enjoying the beautiful island of Barbados while on vacation. We are also in awe of Miami Beach and cannot believe how lucky we are to have such a sublime view before our eyes every day and for our guest to experience. We had a fantastic holiday in Little Arches Boutique Hotel on the South Coast of Barbados. The location was ideal - close to Oistins where there is a regular "fish fry" evening on Fridays with a fantastic atmosphere and delicious food. The nearest beach (Enterprise) is a stunning strip of white sand and tourquoise sea and we were able to swim with turtles virtually every day - amazing! The staff in the hotel couldn't have been more friendly or helpful and the hotel itself was beautifully decorated with glass artwork and mosaics all over the building creating a trulyspecial environment. The breakfast options were varied and excellent - i particularly enjoyed the "power breakfast" option and we had two evening meals in the Cafe Luna restaurant on site which were both excellent!

Dear Helen186411 We are ecstatic to hear that you had a terrific stay with us and that our location was just the right place for your vacation. With Oistins being so near, we love that our guests are able to experience our local culture and food just a short walk away. It is amazing that you got to swim with the turtles, we are sure they enjoyed your company each day and are now missing you, just like we are. Thank you for lovely words about our artwork as most of it is locally made and we always like to send our guests to the source (Earthworks Pottery) when they enquire. Looking forward to seeing you soon! Yours truly, Sandra Edwards General Manager

We stayed in a Garden Junior Whirlpool Suite for four nights. The room was peaceful and spacious, the king-sized bed was very comfortable, and the Jacuzzi on the patio was warm and a perfect venue for relaxing, with a drink at the side, after a day of exploring the island. Sandra and all of the team were superbly friendly and helpful, arranging everything we asked for, including recommendations and bookings for restaurants in the area. We made breakfast each morning in the little kitchenette, with local fruits and bread and croissants from the local Massy supermarket. The restaurant on the rooftop – Café Luna – was a beautiful location with excellent food and warm and friendly service where we enjoyed both the lunch and dinner menus. The hotel is beautifully designed and decorated with a classical Mediterranean feel (though totally unlike the modern concrete high-rise hotels now so typical of that region!). Highly recommended!

There are not enough wonderful things I can say about The Little Arches stay and staff. My boyfriend and I booked The Little Arches (our first time in Barbados) for his birthday, Suite 1 with private pool for 5 nights. We were traveling from NYC during COVID-19 and had just quarantined at The Crane Resort (had the worst of the worst hotel experience). The Little Arches surpassed our expectations in every category and made Barbados a truly unforgettable memory. The room (suite 1) was gorgeous and extremely clean and just steps from Miami Beach which is one of the best beaches on the island. Housekeeping came every morning and made the room gorgeous, turned down the bed and left new towels etc. They would wait if we weren't out yet and were so lovely. The restaurant La Luna is fantastic. Everything we had on the menu (we ate there 6+ meals) was delicious and service was fast and everyone very nice. The hotel staff booked us for the best restaurants on the island, every time we had a request, they took care of it asap. Prior to our stay they even asked how they could make our stay perfect for James' birthday.

We absolutely love this hotel perched on the south west coast of Barbados. Sandra, Emma, Michelle and all the other members of staff make you feel at home the minute you arrive. It is no surprise that the majority of guests are returners, we have already booked for next year! With only 10 rooms it is fairly unique in Barbados and the atmosphere is very relaxed and friendly. The rooftop restaurant, Cafe Luna, is very popular with tourists and locals alike and it is magical to sit and eat under the stars in the warmth of a Barbadian night. The hotel are happy to take beds across to the local beach which is a beautiful white sand beach with turquoise waters. Watching the sun set across the water is a wonderful way to end the day.

It’s been just over a year since my husband and I stayed at the Little Arches. Every day that has passed since then, we have been dreaming and saving any spare change we can find to get back to our beloved “Barbados Family”, a name we have dubbed for the incredible staff and servers at this life-changing (no exaggeration) hotel.
Traveling internationally can be exhausting (we live full-time in Chicago), but the moment we stepped into our room at the Little Arches, we instantly felt like we were at home. One of the benefits of staying in a boutique hotel like this one is that every face is familiar. From the moment you arrive to the day you leave (you won’t want to, trust me) you are treated with the love, respect, and adoration of a beloved family member who’s just come home for the holidays.
Even if Café Luna (one of the island's most sought-after restaurants) wasn’t just a few steps from your room, you would be more than comfortable simply lounging in your quaint but spacious room. However, their sun deck and the pristine pool isn’t a bad alternative either if you’re looking to soak up that glorious Barbados sun.
Even after a year, we feel closer than ever to the servers, bartenders (lookin’ at your Damien!), cleaning crew, and of course, the fabulous staff (Sandra and Emma are truly the best in the ‘biz).
This gorgeous hotel was restored by The Cothran's (you might run into them if you’re lucky!), and it’s abundantly clear in every brick, tile, and tassel that they care so deeply about not just preserving the original Bajan architecture, but elevating it to a design degree that is unparalleled anywhere else on the island.
We could not have asked for a better honeymoon location, and look forward to the day when this virus is over and we can head back to our Bajan Home again.

This is our third stay at Little Arches and it was as lovely as ever. What makes Little Arches such a special place is the team running it from Sandra, Emma, Michelle, Myrane and Mariah at Front Desk through to housekeeping and maintenance. Nothing is too much trouble and the team go above and beyond to make your stay as comfortable and relaxing as possible. This hospitality alongside the equally welcoming Cafe Luna and the fabulous location on one of the island’s best beaches makes for a memorable and thoroughly relaxing stay. We are very happy to be a part of the Little Arches extended family and hope to visit again soon.

My daughter and I spent an amazing 8 night break at Little Arches, following her final school exams.
After a long flight we were welcomed to the property with iced fruit punch and shown to our accommodation, suite with private pool.
As requested the sofa bed was made ready and the suite was beautiful, so nice to not be a typical stereotypical room as in larger hotels, with everything we could need. We went straight into the pool!!
The hotel is small and every room is different which makes it more individual so just be sure to check what suits you.
We met people who were staying in the larger “chain” or “all inclusive” properties which they like but lacked the personal touch, we were definitely a name, not a number on the guest list!
Our first visit to Barbados so we needed a bit of help with shops, trips, customs etc but nothing was too much trouble for the amazing staff.
We hired their bikes, they booked us day trips, scuba, snorkelling, cruises of which we thoroughly enjoyed, it is a beautiful island.
We ate most evenings in Cafe Luna as we are not very adventurous but the food was amazing as was the service, again, nothing too much trouble.
On our final day we had a night flight so checked out in the morning and lazed by the beautiful main pool with iced water on tap and a courtesy room to shower/change when we were ready.
I have read the negative (mostly very old) reviews about Little Arches and would disagree with I believe all of them… yes it’s under the flight path but with only about half a dozen flights a day, it’s hardly an issue.
Yes, at this time of year the beach suffers from seaweed but it’s a natural beauty and better than a stony beach in Britain!
Yes, a fuel tanker moored on our final day in the sea beyond but again, not an issue and without the fuel for the island we couldn’t have had such a great time.
I would finish to say “Thank you and more” to the amazing teams at Little Arches and Cafe Luna for our fantastic holiday, I’m just sad that our motto has always been “there are so many places in the world to see we don’t visit twice” BUT this place is one of a very few we’ve visited that we could change our motto!
Highly recommend Barbados and Little Arches x

Dear Alison L, Thank you so much for taking the time to write this amazing review. It was beyond our pleasure getting to know yourself and your daughter and to help you both experience and immersed yourself into the Barbadian culture. We truly pride ourselves, on getting to know our guests personally and making them feel comfortable so that they can relax on their vacation, whilst not having to worry about activities to plan or get done, as we do that for you. Even though we have received some negative reviews in the past, those along with the great ones, have helped to improve over the years to become what we are today. You have detailed who we are and what we do so well, that it has brought huge smiles to our faces. It is truly a testament to how much you loved your stay with us, that we have made you want to change your motto. Looking forward to maybe see you both in the not-too-distant future. Kind regards.
