Clean with daily housekeeping and friendly staff. Needs a bit upgrading in terms of bar, front desk area and parking lot. I had minimal issues with my first room but I was upgraded the same minute. I love that the area is close to one of the popular malls and also the Gap. Alot of great places within walking distance including the beach.

Love this spot and especially the updated rooms! We haven’t been for a few years since COVID and we’re thrilled to see how lovely our home away from home looked! Staff is fantastic - friendly and super helpful! Lanterns mini mall is just steps away as is the beach, boardwalk and lots of places to eat. Grab some groceries and start your day with a homemade breakfast in your own well appointed kitchenette or chill out poolside with your rum and a snack! Can’t wait to come back next year!

What a hidden little gem! Refreshing pool, friendly staff, comfy king bed, great location close to so many wonderful dining options and shopping. We spent 8 days relaxing on the plentiful loungers. We chose a walkout patio room and it was perfect for us, ground floor, steps to the pool. We are returning in 6 months for a week.

Very friendly and helpful staff, nice clean room and great pool area. Only stayed for one night before the rest of our group arrived. Super close to a lovely beach and boardwalk, tons of restaurants and a cute farmer's market! Not sure I'd walk around the area after dark.

Horrible experience. Hotel is dirty and rundown. Staff was polite at first but then unaccommodating. I was overcharged for laundry. The room was not made up. Worst of all I was billed for a broken shower head. It was broken when I arrived. I am disputing it with the credit card company.

Thank you for staying with us at Pirate’s Inn and for sharing your review. You arrived before our advertised check in time of 3 p.m. and were advised that the room was not ready however, we would do our best to try to have it available early given that you were on property. You and your partner stored your luggage and decided to rest in our lobby area whilst you awaited your room. You did receive your room early. As is our standard procedure, the room was checked thoroughly before it was handed over and all was found to be in order. During check in you were also advised that while our onsite restaurant was closed, we had the option of a delivery service from our sister property’s restaurant available to you. Alternatively, as our rooms are self-catering, we highlighted that grocery and convenience stores were in proximity, as well as several restaurants which offer Barbadian and international cuisine. The only issue you raised on check in was making payment for the mandatory government levy which you insisted had already been paid and were advised by our Front Desk agent to review your confirmation letter regarding this. We do not provide bellhop service but try to assist our guests wherever possible with whatever they need. Our crew takes assisting our guests very seriously so that when you asked for assistance with your luggage, our front desk agent (who is a tiny young lady) personally lifted every single one of your bags upstairs to the room. When you also advised that the AC unit in the bedroom was too cold for you, this was sorted immediately. This was the only issue that we were made aware of for the remainder of your stay. Shortly after checking into your room, you came to the Front Desk with three laundry bags and stated that you wished to take home clean laundry. You were asked to complete the laundry forms to take stock of what was in your laundry bags and you proceeded to sit in the lobby area to sort through your laundry before handing it in to be cleaned. The Front Desk Agent confirmed that she queried if you wished to have the laundry washed separately seeing that you had three separate laundry bags. You indicated that you would. The cost of BDS$15/US$7.50 per load had already been communicated to you. The total cost for the three bags of laundry was BDS$45/BDS$22.50 and it was washed, dried, folded and returned to your room. Our checks with our housekeeper assigned to your room revealed that when she first went to your room, you had placed the Do Not Disturb sign on the door and when she returned a second time, the sign was on the floor and as such, she unsure and knocked to confirm if you wished to have service or if you still did not want to be disturbed. She received no answer and as such, she only entered your room to return your laundry. We have no reports from you indicating that you had a broken shower head in the room as we would have also sorted that immediately so that you could continue to enjoy your stay with us. Unfortunately, we only discovered the broken shower head after check out. On arrival you were advised of the security deposit, which is held in the event of damages to the property or unpaid incidentals. As a small, budget hotel we are unfortunately not able to absorb these expenses and so a charge against your security deposit for the value of replacement and repair was assessed. We will have noted that you have placed poor reviews in other fora. We will continue to reply to provide some balance to these claims. It is always our goal to every guest with the best possible service even when that is made difficult.

This is a great hotel. Lovely staff, great room, with pool view, balcony, a fully fitted kitchen and a bathroom with a shower, which I prefer to a bath. Great location on a quiet street, near the beach, shops and restaurants. I recommend highly Pirates Inn and I have booked again for next year.

As usual I like to write reviews whilst actually at the premise. This place is a little gem. The staff are as friendly as anyone I've ever met and nothing seems to much trouble for them. My room is on the 1st floor and is self contained. It has an oven, microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge freezer, cable TV and and iron plus ironing board. There are hanging spaces for clothes and draws aplenty. Safety box for a small deposit and sir conditioning. There is housekeeping available daily. The hotel has a nice pool and ample loungers for its size. THe hotel is situated 50 metres from the seafront and approximately 3.5km from Bridgetown center. The number 11 bus route takes you anywhere for $3.5BBD (£1:40 ish) and is perfectly located to see the Gap and Oistons All in all it is excellent value for money, so much so that I will be coming back later this year for another taste of Barbados.

Stayed for 14 nights … our 5th visit back to Pirates … The friendliest staff and an extremely well run hotel . Bar and restaurant are closed but beer is available .. Room was spotless as always … we were given option on daily cleaning which is a good idea . We’re back in March for another stay … prefer the rooms with balcony or terrace but we had neither this time due to late booking … the room was fine . Hotel is in a very quiet position 5 mins from the beach , restaurants and shops …See you all soon and keep up the good work 👍
