We spent one month at Choj Rentals (Sun Island Hotel). We were greeted by the manager, Charles. Our apartment was very adequate. The bed was confortable and we had maid service every other day. I loved that I could wash our clothes in the washing machine upstairs and hang them on the line on our patio. I haven't hung clothes out in many years and I loved the way they smelled when I brought them in. Charles was beyond helpful. Any problem that arose, he took care of immediately. His wife, Happy, was lovely. We have been spending the month of February in Barbados every year for the past 37 years. We have stayed in many hotels a lot fancier but none with the service that we received at Sun Island. It also is in a great location. Thank you Charles and Happy for a wonderful time. We hope to see youl next year!…

I booked this room for 3 weeks and they charged my credit card 2 weeks before the stay even though it was to be charged at time of check in. I was booked for December 14 and was in Barbados on Dec. 5 at another location. I decided to go check out this property. I went around 9 pm and it was located on the corner of a busy roundabout. High traffic noise and I could hear loud music coming from the building. I went no further and walked back and cancelled by reservation as this was too noisy for me. I cancelled on Hotels.com and received notification that I cancelled a day before deadline and there would be no charges. Now the problem begins, they already had my money. After 10 days I called Hotels.com and they said they contacted the owners and I would get a refund in 10 days. 10 days later still no money so hotels.com puts me through their dispute resolution. 14 days later no money. I go and visit the owners as I am still in Barbados. They tell me they have no money in their account and cannot repay. They would do a partial payment. They did pay 1/3 the next day but nothing for 2 weeks so back to Hotels.com who said they could not do anything else but go to my VISA company. I filed a complaint with VISA and finally after another 3 weeks I received my balance. A terrible experience without even staying! I write this to let others be aware that this property could be trouble.…
