The hotel itself is very nice. However issues with service started at check in. The staff could not find our booking. We were made to wait so long my 5 year old was desperate for the toilet. Eventually I was told there had been a breakdown between TUI and the hotel and our room had not been booked. They then had to book the room in all over again. We were then not told that 5 year olds eat free so were charged more than we should have been for the first few days. We were then put on a breakfast plan by mistake and subsequently charges added to my account that we were not aware of. Not to mention my debit card being debited by 400 dollars more than it should have been during the first few days of staying (nearly 2 thousand barbados dollars). When trying to resolve any issue it was always met with different advice and conflicting information from staff. There seemed to be a general can't be bothered attitude by the staff at reception. Ultimately issues were resolved but I spent most days having to question bills and charges which is not what you want when on holiday. My tips would be do not give a card at check-in and ensure you check all charges and policies as information is not forthcoming.…
We had a fantastic stay at the Hilton Barbadoes for the week of August 16, 2021. The resort facilities are great and the customer service was fantastic. The beach and water access on the property are good but there is Pebble Beach literally next-door (two minute walk) and this beach was truly incredible. The food at the Hilton was somewhat pricey but excellent. I would highly recommend this resort.
The hotel was very clean and well maintained. The staff at the front desk and the excursion desk were very accommodating. The room and the bay view was very nice and you were still able to have part of the view of the ocean. The room was vey clean the high ceiling made it look bigger. The staff at The Grill restaurant were pleasant. The servers at the pool bar and grill were friendly and engaging. The food taste really good too and the drinks were strong enough :-) June was a great time to go because it wasn’t overwhelmed with guest and you were able to get great service. The housekeeping staff were accommodating and although you were given a choice to have your room cleaned every other day, if you needed it done more frequently they made it happen. I loved the beach and there were enough umbrellas and chairs that you didn’t have to wait. The only negative thing was the jacuzzi wasn’t working and I was there 6 nights it should have been repaired. Also things closed too early. Everything shut down by 11pm. The convenient store had an okay selection of things but it would have been nice if it stay opened later as well. Overall I would definitely go back. I felt very safe and comfortable…
Fantastic vacation at the Hilton a highly recommended. Friendly staff and very clean room. Beach was perfect. Restaurants were very good. Centrally located to all the attractions. I will definitely be back.
Every night the hotel is out of water. The worst part, they don't tell you. It just happens. I was taking a shower, and had to wait for more than an hour for the water to come back. I called the front desk and they kept telling me it would take 15 minutes. If it happens again tomorrow, I will move to another hotel. Maybe a less expensive hotel has water 24 hours.
I recently did my first ever staycation and I am very grateful that I did so at the Hilton Barbados Resort because my stay was nothing short of amazing. Everything from check in to check out went ridiculously seamless. I was impressed with the mannerism and professionalism of all the staff. Each staff member was courteous and friendly regardless of their role. I particularly wish to thank the following team members who I interacted with directly: Rodney and Julian who ably assisted me with my luggage, Samara and Deidre who checked me in and out of the hotel with their warm greetings and courtesies, Andrea of the housekeeping team who cleaned my room so precisely, Lisa, Shakira and Antonia all from the Lighthouse Terrace Restaurant who ensured that all was well at breakfast and that a hearty breakfast was had each day, Francelia from the Hilton Fitness by Precor gym who displayed a welcoming personality each and every day, Alicia from the Eforea spa who gave me the best massage ever and Nicholas who was able to encourage me to quit watching the pool but to go in and enjoy it. I say without reservation that the entire team represent the Hilton brand well, the customer service at the Hilton Barbados Resort is impeccable. I shall be back again hopefully soon. I miss you guys already. Keep flying the Hilton flag high, all! NB From the time I pulled up in front the lobby, Rodney came and assisted me with my luggage and then Samara checked me in early, well I knew I was in for a wonderful time and so it was. My birthday celebration was indeed memorable. To the management team, I wish to record my sincere appreciation to your team members for all they did during my stay.…
Upon arrival the staff was very inviting and friendly. Check in went smooth and we were off to the poolside bar & restaurant. Beautiful setting and nice pool area. The food was good but they have what I consider a very limited menu. Our first room was clean but the AC wouldn't shut off so it was like 65f or 18c degrees. They tried repairing it but it stayed cold all night. They moved us the next day. We were promised a corner ocean front room with our Diamond status but they only gave us an ocean front 3rd floor room. The hotel is older and it shows, they need to do some serious updates to this Hilton. The restaurants are just OK, nothing to brag about but easier than going out some nights. The staff (all of them) were always very friendly and helpful. This hotel just needs some TLC. Seaweed is the next issue, there were tons of seaweed that washed in during our stay making it almost impossible to swim to the hotel beach. They tried cleaning it up but everyday it washed ashore again. Meanwhile Carlisle Bay was untouched by the seaweed. The first time here we stayed on the resort at Sandals this time we explored the island with our rental car. Definitely worthwhile but being from the US driving on the left was a stressful challenge but I would do it again. Barbados Wildlife Reserve was a fun day as well.…
When you arrive at the hotel, you can tell it's been very luxurious in its day, but it looks tired and could do with an overhaul. The seats in the lobby are grubby and saggy; not very inviting. The pool area is lovely and leads straight to the most beautiful beach with pink sand. This is what made our stay really - the water was crystal clear and the sand just perfectly powdery. The food at the poolside bar was ridiculously expensive, as was the breakfast!! Drinks were hardly a bargain either. It just felt like we were being ripped off all the time. I wouldn't rush back to this hotel, although the area itself is beautiful.
We really liked this property. The staff were all friendly. The beach is gorgeous! And large pools. The coffee shop was our favourite, especially their baked goods. The only down-side is not many restaurants within walking distance, besides the ones at the hotel and a couple of food trucks on the beach near the hotel.
Stayed here in May and was overcharged by £1,418.83. We spoke to someone there and they said they would return the money as it was taken in error, but they haven’t. When we checked out, they said nothing was to pay and that they would take our card off file, but since returning to the UK, they have tried to take funds on two separate occasions (failed as we didn’t have the money in the account). These attempted payments were of random figures as well. Totally ruined our experience.
