We have just returned from a wonderful 8 day stay at the CCBH. There’s a lot to like about this hotel, it’s location particularly on a lovely beach with its artificial reef which gives you the opportunity to snorkel safely with turtles often sited, very friendly staff and fellow patrons, spacious bedroom sizes and cleanliness with additional benefits of free fast Wi-Fi, air conditioning, room safe and well maintained pool. The only reason it doesn’t quite achieve 5 stars is the cost to eat at the restaurant, which incidentally cook fabulous meals however average dinner cost with wine for two would be around $250bbd, other slight niggles include noise from the road particularly when the reggae buses pass start honking before 6am along with a nearby rooster who clearly is operating on another time zone! We understand speaking to fellow stayers that it’s beneficial to book ground or first as the road noise isn’t noticeable here, we were on the top floor and stepped access certainly keeps you fit. Lack of a hot plate limits your cooking opportunities here but fully understand why with an on site restaurant to fill. It would also benefit the hotel to have more than one late check out guest room to book as we ended up changing in the reception room toilet as all 1/2 hour allocations had been booked (flying mid evening) the hotel was fully booked and ordinarily you could book your own room beyond the 11am check out time. All in all a fabulous stay here despite these niggles, the restaurants opposite (Jake’s and Mamma Mia are very good) the fellow stayers we’re so friendly being a mixture of nationalities principally Canadians, Americans and British met some lovely people here and the the hotel rum punches really hit the spot, would wholly recommend this hotel and location and note it’s pretty booked up already for the early months of 2024, there are many repeat stayers here and that’s the best recommendation of all.

Lots of steps for those who have any mobility issues. The pool deck is the lowest level but you still have steps down to the beach and a bit of a view. Sixteen steps per floor for a four story building not including the pool deck. We stayed on the floor above the pool deck and had a great view with a fair sized balcony. The pool is a good size but take NOTE there is not a kids pool. This month has had a lot of toddlers and diapered babies in the pool and all their floating toys. This month also had a lot of Sargassum on the beach and a Sahara Dust Wind so we couldn’t escape the screaming children at the pool because of the beach issues and stayed at the pool during the day. The hotel does keep the beach clean but cannot keep the sargassum under control. Mother Nature dictates. The hotel does have security presence on site. The Hotel staff are excellent from the front desk to housekeeping. The rooms are large with a microwave kettle, toaster & a proper sized sink & fridge. A very good cost saving in meals as food is extremely expensive in Barbados. The bathrooms have a large easy step in shower. Lots of hot water and water pressure. They have a wash line in the shower to hang clothing items on. No other washing facilities but for sending items out at a big cost for cleaning. The beds are very comfortable. The rooms are attended to every day. The two restaurants on site serve good food. The owners of this hotel are family owned and the pride in their business is evident in the service provided.

Dear IcA3483AC, thank you so much for choosing to stay with us and for writing this very helpful and detailed review. I am really pleased that you enjoyed your visit and gave us a five-star rating, thank you so much! Coconut Court does not currently have a lift, so we are sadly not suitable for anyone using a wheelchair. That being said, we always do our best to accommodate requests for lower floors and pool deck level rooms. I would please ask our readers to keep that in mind when booking. We do have families staying with us during the school holidays, but I personally don't think this is a deterrent. We do not get to many very young children, and they are required to wear swimmers in the pool. We have a professional pool cleaner who monitors the water quality in our swimming pool twice daily and this information is logged for health and safety records. Yes, we have experienced some seaweed on the beach over the past 2-3 weeks. Thankfully, this has not been a regular occurrence over the past year and when it does happen, it either floats away in a couple of days on the tide or we clean it from the beach. Regardless, folks have been swimming and enjoying the lagoon. Thank you very much for noting our excellent service, comfortable and clean rooms and the personal pride that is evident in the way that we run our business. I am fond of saying that Coconut Court is our "labour of love' and my family, and our teamwork had to ensure that our guests have a wonderful stay with us. I am so glad that you did. Please come back and enjoy another holiday with us soon. Sincerely, Linda Lampkin (owner)

Location, location, location...and VALUE! Coconut Court has it all. The hotel is on the beach. The pool is on the beach...and the beach bar is...on the beach. The rooms are quite big, and overlook the pool and ocean with a few palm trees on the beach. The rooms have a mini fridge, cook top, microwave, electric kettle and sink. Our room had the beds pushed together to make a king. They do not have an elevator and there are lots of steps, to the room and beach. Be mindful if that if you have mobility issues. The beach is safe, they have security inconspicuously placed under the almond trees. They also make their rounds chatting with guests. You have no worries leaving your stuff with your lounger. The staff is professional and friendly. I do wish the service to the pool was more frequent. I felt that breakfast was rather pricey. $50US for 2 people for breakfast is a tad over priced for eggs, pancakes and bacon. A coffee shop with local Bajan baked goods would be a nice addition. They have a concierge to help book your island adventures. They also supply pool noodles and floaties if you like. The gift shop has all your needs including beer, wine and spirits. The location of Coconut Court allows you to catch a ZR to Oisins or Bridgetown for B$3.50, and they can be a fun ride. Plus there are a number great eating and drinking establishments within walking distance. They can also arrange to have you picked up at the airport to make arrival easy.

Dear Gueman68, thanks so much for your informative review about your recent stay, I am sure that it is a great help to folks thinking about booking Coconut Court! We do have a wonderful location and we try our best to offer a really safe and fun holiday while delivering genuine friendly service and good value to our guests. Barbados has a relatively low crime rate, but I always advise that our guests "pack their common sense" while on holiday. Don't do anything that you wouldn't do at home. Our a la carte breakfast menu offers a lot of choices, and each dish has a different menu cost so our guests can choose something light or something more depending on their pocket and appetite. Thanks for mentioning our gift shop. I like the idea of selling home baked goods there so thanks for that suggestion, I will see what we can do. Thanks so much once again, please come back to stay with us again in the future. Have a great summer! Sincerely, Linda Lampkin (owner)

Great location on the beach and easy to get around with transportation right outside and safe to walk to restaurants and bars locally.Rooms are dated however cleaned everyday, would have like tea/coffee/milk provided. Great view over pool and sea. Bedding and towels changed regularly but pillows are very uncomfortable. The staff are mainly friendly and helpful even though the ones who are serving meals have a very difficult job due to unavailability of food and waiting times. Some people having to wait over one hour for food. There are positives however when booking this hotel it showed on the website (which has now changed during our stay) a different menu for 7 days and buffets,so due to likes and dislikes it did accommodate our choices of food and going all inclusive. When we arrived we were informed there was only one menu for lunch and one for dinner. There was only one choice of starter out of 5 for my husband and 2 out of 7 for main meal for a 14 night stay. We were informed on several occasions that our choice mainly on desserts was unavailable. We did go to Jakes over the road , which is a bar and restaurant owned by this hotel which offers some different food choices but was informed we could go there only twice during our stay. Also lunchtime selection included pizzas which were not available throughout our stay. Once you received the food it was very good throughout the stay. Drinks included in the all inclusive were also not available several times and we were told if we wanted others we would have to pay. Eventually after objecting to this we did get another brand without the extra cost. I did give constructive feedback to one of the owners and a manager with a suggestion to offer a couple of different 'specials" at dinner each day as having to chose from a further restricted menu was becoming difficult. There is a buffet on a Sunday, when people living locally come to, so book a table. There was also a buffet on Independence day and the next day ,which was good and they had baked ham so my husband was OK also. If we had known of the reduction of the menus we would not have beeked this hotel.Having paid a lot of money to stay here, I would not recommend this hotel unless you are prepared to have the same menu for the whole time of your stay and prepared for your choice not being available.

A total mixed bag for our Christmas break. We booked Coconut Court through a travel agents but I wish we had researched a bit more before booking.
Positives: The beach and snorkelling is amazing and the beach is well kept and secure. Easy walking distance to some great restaurants and shops and bus stop outside. Rooms was always cleaned well enough and the room is large and bright The beach bar is expensive and again choice varies from day to day
Negatives Tried to book for Christmas lunch and was told full end of conversation Asked a different person this time and booked on for dinner which was an awful buffet and limited drinks Evening menu is small over priced and poor Breakfast menu was a good choice but poor quality and lucky if you got a teaspoon most mornings. Constantly chased for cups/cutlery and milk Some staff were friendly but most looked at you with disdain Never stayed at a hotel where you had to pay for beach towels
If you want a quick stay in a motel this is for you nothing more

Dear Y6329BOlesleym, thank you very much for staying with us and for writing this review of your recent stay with us. I am very sorry that there were some aspects of your holiday with us that you were unhappy about. I have noted all of your comments and will do our best to make improvements in the areas mentioned. Regarding Christmas Day, our beach bar was open and serving BBQ and we served our traditional Christmas buffet for dinner at Cocos. Cocos was fully booked for Christmas lunch but we made sure that you were given a table and served dinner and drinks which were included for all guests FOC on December 25th. I am sorry that you didn’t like the food or our service - we honestly had so many compliments about the food and our staff are a favourite part of the holiday with so many of our guests. I am really sorry that you didn’t feel that way too. We will work to do better. We take this opportunity to wish you and your family the best for 2024. Sincerely, Linda Lampkin (owner)

This hotel was recommended by our travel agent for its beach location. They did mention the hotel had no lift but they would request a ground floor room. The hotel is still family run and one of the family is always around to chat to the guests and listen to feedback. The good points first. The staff are fantastic and could not be more helpful. They were generally cheerful and any request was courteously attended to. The view from the balconies toward the beach is fantastic. Opening the curtain in the morning and looking at the beach and palm trees Meade’s a fantastic start to the day. Rooms are large, if a little old fashioned, with comfortable beds and a fridge, kettle, toaster, 2 ring hot plate and microwave are provided.
The location is good with an easy walk to Hastings rocks, the boardwalk and Rockley beach. On the way there are many restaurants and bars. It is also easy to get to Bridgetown and Speightstown by local bus.
Where the hotel could be better is with the food and beverage offer. We had meals generally off site and ate at Jake’s across the road a few times. The restaurant in the hotel was pricy and you can get a meal at Tapas or Champers down the road for not much more money. Happy hour was interesting. In the beach bar they either had no wine at happy hour prices or it was rose only one day and white wine only the next.
If I was the manager I would seriously consider 2 issues.
1 ) getting an outside lift at the far left of the property. It is a long haul for elderly customers from the pool terrace up to the top floor!
2 ) stopping all smoking and vapping on the pool terrace. It is no longer acceptable to be surrounded by smokers and vappers. It will be difficult to enforce as there are always guests who think smoking bans are not for them, but it will be a positive selling point, especially for families with children.
Just remember-you have to be fit to tackle the stairs. We enjoyed our stay but Anybody with mobility issues needs to think hard if this is the right place for them.

This is a lovely, friendly, and clean hotel. Our room was big and spacious and kept clean and tidy each day. The air con worked a treat which was needed in the heat. Beach and sea are very picturesque, like a picture postcard. There are lots of sunbeds....and lots if shade if required. Just 2/3 steps to Captain Charlie's beach bar for a rum punch or two! The pool area is kept clean and tidy, not a huge pool, but enough to cool you down on a hot day. There are lovely bushes around the pooldeck with tiny little hummingbirds flitting from flower to flower all the time. The food is very tasty with good-sized portions. Entertainment was on most nights ...weather permitting....there were a few heavy nights of rain, which, of course, is totally out with anyone's control! The staff were always quick to put out towels and cone at the wet public walkways....always on the ball! The bar staff and wait staff are all terrific! Very friendly, polite but jokey, and always remembered your name....and what you liked to drink....Victoria, Nia, Kevin, Kinesha, Amanda, Kerli and of course Samara...who I hope has a safe delivery of her baby boy! Hope I've got those names right! No question was silly and always answered in full by any staff member you spoke to. Management and owners are always visible and love to chat with guests, many of them returning for the nth time! A good insight as to what this little place means to everyone! Only one tiny letdown ... there are a good few steps down from rooms and from main reception to bars and dining room, pool and beach. It's not a huge problem, but for me, with my dodgy knees, it became a bit of a challenge at times, lol! To be honest, with how the hotel is laid out , I don't know what the answer to this one is. However, it is still a lovely place in a beautiful setting....has given us lots of memories 🌞

The hotel was in a excellent location directly on the beach and quick access to the restaurant/bar area via a "ZR" . The Caribbean sea was warm and clear for snorkeling off the beach . There are thousands of reef fish to see. The owners of the hotel were great, friendly and helpful. The waitstaff/bar keeps/security and grounds keepers were all excellent and friendly. The hotel rooms had great views of the sea were cleaned everyday by the friendly housekeepers. The food and all the drinks were excellent at the hotels restaurant and beach bar. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone traveling to the Barbados in the near future. If I return I will bring my kids as they would love it.

This was our second visit to Coconut Court and so glad we came back. We booked a "partial sea view' but really could still see the sea and beach perfectly! Was delighted with latge room, very large comfy bed and large bathroom/shower. Fan and air con was very good and needed as was exceptionally hot and humid. Plenty of wardrobe space and safe. Problem with safe was sorted very quickly and also iron was leaking - this was sorted very quicky too! All the staff were lovely and Hadfield the security guard was always asking how u were etc. We ate a few times in the restaurant and had really good food and service. The restaurant was closing not long before we were leaving but there were still places nearby for nice food. As this is their low season I reckon that.s when a lot of places take a chance to renovate/upgrade parts of their hotel/rooms so we expected some things like that happen but its the time of yearcwe like to go! Our room looked pretty new decor wise, fridge freezer/microwave /usual kitchen equipment if u are doing some self-catering. Would also mention the lovely shop assistants in the wee shop - very friendly and helpful. Pool area is lovely and there were plent of loungers. I like the fact that you can go straightvto the beach too , get your lounger and put it anywhere on the beach, no brollies bit not needed as plenty of shade under trees. We booked 2 trips from the hotel and these were both really good. If there were any negatives it was only that we didnt realise there was 600BBD security deposit which u can pay by credit card - couldnt remember my flaming CC number and had to pay cash. I hadnt known about this but it is perhaps on the website and I didnt see it as knew about the nightly tax. On the plus side we were told that we could use that deposit against food and drink. All in all had a lovely stay here again. Septembervsuits us to a T as it is a bit quieter at the hotel so pool and beach were quieter and so nice to lie there and drink ure rum punches/beer. One last mention for the maintenance man! Dont think we got his name as he really just got on with his job but I have to say he seemed to take great pride in his job and in particular once we were all leaving pool in the evening he straightened all the loungers up to make sure they were all in line. Also would mention how easy to get about from hotel - bus stops right outside hotel. Cheap and fun to get around - be like the locals! Hope to see you all again!

Dear marionsJ1266BU, thanks so much for coming back to see us again, we really appreciate your loyal patronage. I am so pleased that you had such a lovely stay with us. Yes, September is our quietest month of the year (along with June), so we do take some time to tidy up and get everything looking tip top for the busy winter season. I know that the summer is hot (pretty much the same temperature but no wind) but it's my absolute personal favourite time of year. Our island quiets down so folks can really kick back and relax. I also love the ocean int the summer, as it is incredibly flat - like a glass of gin. Barbados has such beautiful beaches and turquoise seas. It's hard to beat! And don't forget our locals - we are the friendliest in the Caribbean. I am so glad that you went out and enjoyed a few adventures and did some sightseeing. Please come back to see us again soon. Please keep well until then. One love! Yours sincerely, Linda Lampkin (owner)

Superb location. Hotel is in need of updating to keep up with other hotels. Sandals all inclusive not much more once you’ve paid for food & drink at Coconut Court (& restaurants). There’s a price for food & drinks but then add 20% for service charge & taxes (standard in Barbados). Beach towels only changed after 3 days but you can pay to change them earlier. Take beach shoes for all the rocks & stones. The Italian across the road is superb. Would I go back? No

Dear hobbscelia, thank you so much for choosing to stay with us at Coconut Court Beach Hotel. I am so pleased that you enjoyed our superb location. I am really sorry that you would not stay with us again. I will be the first to say that we are not a Sandals resort. I like to say that we are a family-owned 3-star hotel offering 5-star service! While we are not a flashy big resort, my family is always reinvesting into our hotel with thoughtful and positive upgrades to keep our "labour of love" fresh, comfortable and inviting. If you like glitzy, big chain all-inclusive resorts then Coconut Court will not tick all of your boxes. I understand, we are not for everybody. Regarding costs, you stayed with us during our peak festive season, but I am 100% sure that our rates/prices would be a lot more affordable than Sandals. All food and beverage in Barbados are subject to 10% VAT Tax, and 2.5% Product Development Levy. Service charge varies between establishments between 10-20%. Coconut Court service charge is 10% which is the minimum amount charged. Our hotel also sits directly on a large white sandy beach. Yes, there are small bits of coral, so if you prefer you can wear water shoes, but this is not necessary as our lagoon is very sandy in most places. I think it's also important to note that all of our hotel rooms face the ocean and have large balconies. This makes our hotel very unique. Over and over again, guests tell me how much they love the breathtaking views from their guest room and that our beach is one of the nicest that they have seen on the entire island. I am really sorry that you won't return to stay with us, but I do hope that you will continue to enjoy beautiful Barbados on future visits. Thank you very much once again for staying with us. Yours sincerely, Linda Lampkin (owner)

We have stayed at this hotel 9 times! Obviously a favourite.
First time I walked a while in the hot sun to the bigger supermarket, down the road ( very uneven pavement)just to find prices were similar. Go across the road & buy your rum, coke and wine and then just chill! Buy the breakfast package at the hotel. No more shopping needed xx
