The location is excellent. We were given a very warm welcome on arrival and check in was very quick. Princeton who showed us to our room was a very good ambassador for the hotel as he was professional and knowledgeable. The room was fantastic as it had double aspect which made for lovely viewing. Christmas brunch was excellent and plenty of choice for sure. Roydelle is always so good in the dining room. We had a bottle of wine in the evening in the bar and it was very relaxing and Melanie was going out of her way to assist the nice bartender. We had a very nice 3 day staycation and will certainly be back. All the staff are very good.

We stayed here for 7 nights and it was a really great vacation. We were made to feel extremely welcome by all the staff and they couldn't have been more helpful. The private beach is secluded and it has beautiful sand and crystal blue water - and due to the off season it felt like we had it all to ourselves. The resort has good gym equipment and tennis courts for those who like to keep active. The breakfast menu was great and, whilst we thought the dinner menu was a little limited in variety, the quality of the food was very high. I would definitely recommend a stay here and would happily visit again.

We stayed at The Reefs for a few days last week (December 2021) and loved it! The staff was incredibly kind and helpful, greeting us warmly every time we entered the lobby and assisting with important things like transportation. It was very clear that they wanted us to enjoy ourselves and have a stress-free trip and they made that very easy! A few highlights to call out: 1) Welcome Rum Swizzles! And some welcome goodies in the room too. 2) Absolutely gorgeous views all over the property. I could not stop staring. 3) Fantastic rooms, we stayed cliffside and I was on the balcony the entire time, but there was a huge floor-to-ceiling window overlooking the ocean and cliffs, and I loved that too. 4) Breakfast was included in our room rate and it was delicious, with plenty of warm options as well as continental breakfast selections. I loved the omelet station, lox, and fresh fruit. Our coffee was refilled often too, which was so nice. 5) Keurig in the room if you need something just to get to breakfast. :) 6) The bike rental place across the street was closed and the concierge helped arrange a rental through Oleander - they were there within the hour. Getting around the island by motorbike was so much fun! 7) Ocean temperature was about the same as the air temperature 70ºF - still made for a great winter swim!!! 8) And finally.... covid... everything was very well organized and I felt very safe. I'll describe more on this below. OK so Covid-19 precautions as of Dec 2021.... coming from the USA, you need to test before you arrive and you need to apply for a Bermuda Travel Authorization showing your vax card and test result. This only takes a few minutes, costs around $75, but includes any on-island testing, including your return to the US testing. Download VeriFly before you go and you can upload your docs there for the airline to validate. When you land in bermuda, you'll go through a passport control area, bags & customs declaration and then you'll head to the testing area for a rapid test. You'll get a red wristband to wear until your test comes back (ours took about 6 hours). At the hotel, you can still go to dinner, visit the beach, etc - you don't have to quarantine in your room - just wear a mask when you go out and keep some distance. We had a great dinner at the main restaurant, sat outside, enjoyed fish chowder and tacos and some nice cocktails. When you get your test results, you can take the wristband off (assuming you're vaccinated) and you're not restricted, though masks are generally required everywhere. Depending on your return date, the travel authority automatically schedules your additional testing. Ours was scheduled for the day before our return to the US, from 10a to 11a, at Perot Post Office in Hamilton. There was a line, but it moved along efficiently and the cost was included in our original travel authorization fee. We had our results a few hours later and used these to upload to VeriFly and check-in on American Airlines for our return. Overall, I loved traveling at this time because it was low-season and not too busy in the airport or at the hotel, but everything was decorated for the holidays and very cheerful. It wasn't too hot, but sooooo much nicer than the North East US, where we are from. We had a fantastic, safe, and relaxing trip and I would love to return in early December again next year!
