This was our 10th trip to Bermuda and our fourth trip to the Pompano. However, this was our first with our newly extended family consisting of ourselves, our 2 sons, their wives, toddler grandchildren and both sets of in-laws so we were a bit nervous. The hotel couldn't have been more attentive to our needs, from Stacy in reservations who handled multiple questions and requests with clarity and aplomb, Lynn in the Cedar Room who promptly took care of the little ones and our daughter-in-law sister's dietary needs, CeCe who shuttled our son's father-in -law up the hill to his room, and everyone else we came across. As always, the Lamb brothers were always visible and happy to help. The food and wait staff was uniformly excellent. The facilities offered enough variety while still being manageable to get around. Yes, our rooms were a bit dated, but the spectacular ocean views makes you forget about everything else. The beach is small, but was never too crowded for the fully-booked hotel. Unlike past trips, we were surprised to see so many other multigenerational families like ours, in addition to the typical younger and older couples. Only minor negative beyond the known hills and decor is that the wi-fi was very spotty and kept going in and out. EVERYONE had a fabulous time. We can't wait to come back!…
We just got back from Pompano Beach Club and it was fantastic. Staff was great. It’s a quaint resort and everyone is down to earth. No pretentiousness here! Especially enjoyed Greg, Lynn, Justin and Ilene. I wish I got everyone’s names because they were all great. The food was great at both restaurants. My favorite part, the beach. If you’re a beach person, this is the place for you! The Lamb family and staff went above and beyond when our daughter got stung by a jelly fish. Everyone checked on her constantly, including guests. If you’re looking for a laid back vacation with views, good food, and good people, this is the place! Do yourself a favor and book here.
We visited Bermuda for 1st time in 9 yrs due to lack of direct flights from CLT. Now that flights are back daily, we plan to visit annually again. Most of our stays have been at Pompano and we were delighted that it was just as wonderful as we remembered we had a great visit. Loved our deluxe ocean front room, good meals (although we would like to see more grilled fish with complementary sauce), beautiful beach. Larry Lamb is a great hands on owner, he was so helpful with anything and everything! We look forward to returning in 2023.
We stayed 5 days at Pompano Beach Club. Right from the welcome at the front desk by Tom and staff, tour, shuttle access, everything is so easy. The 2 restaurants were amazing. It was so difficult to choose because there were so many great things to choose from. The private protected beah was so beautiful. Pink sand, clear turquoise water, sandbars, and lots of lounge chairs and floating devices. Special mention to Justin , who ran the water sports. He brought the kayaks around to the beach for easy entry to the water. He even took pictures for us. Very easy to use the bus system and the Rockaway ferry to Hamilton. Market close by for drinks and snacks. We will return to Bermuda and no question, it will be Pompano Beach Club we will choose.
Our stay at Pompano Beach was absolutely amazing! We can't say enough about the warmth and hospitality of everyone in this resort! The hosts, staff, maitre'd's, waiters, bartenders, chef, were all so friendly and incredible. They did everything possible to make us feel at home and welcome. We have never had such a nice stay at a resort hotel and we've been to Hawaii many times! The location is beautiful, with its own private beach, pool, outdoor seating at restaurants and bar all overlooking the ocean. Sunsets were incredible. Everything was included, we didn't have to think about a thing. They made everything so convenient with the complimentary shuttle to the bus stops and help with whatever information we needed. We were so impressed by how everyone on staff is cross trained to be available for whatever is needed, even the owners pitch in to assist staff with their tasks. The restaurants were so good, kudos to the chef! Everything was delicious. The MAP plan for their location is genius, so nice not to have to think about a different restaurant each night and the meals were as good as any restaurant could be. The Lamb family knows what they're doing. All future trips to Bermuda will be at Pompano! Thank you to everyone there for the nicest resort stay we've ever had!…
Thirty two years ago (!!) we visited this lovely resort on our honeymoon, and since then we’ve been back for many a ‘landmark’ anniversary celebration. To us, it just feels like coming home, albeit to a gorgeous house overlooking a multi-hued blue ocean with 5 course meals and the very best staff you’ll ever have the pleasure of meeting anywhere! Food? Divine. Try ANY AND ALL of the seafood on offer. Rooms? Extremely comfortable and serviced to shiny perfection daily. Beach? A beautiful swath of pink sand beach that is well cared for, with plenty of loungers, sun umbrellas and floaters at your disposal, as well as a beach bar. Entertainment? Lounge DJ sets or live piano nightly. Amenities? An on-site water sports rental, scooter rental, and shuttles to take you to the market or to anywhere you need to go close by. Pompano checks all the important boxes, and yet it’s real charm, the thing that makes it stand out from the other high end resorts on the island, is the absolute love and attention lavished on it by its owners. The Lamb family have owned this resort since the late 1950s and brothers Tom and Larry are at the helm these days. It’s clearly a labour of love for them — from speaking to every guest to pruning trees to hosting the fabulous weekly manager’s swizzle party these gentlemen are hands on! They care that their guests are having the best time, and they’ll ensure that it happens. That personal touch sets Pompano apart and makes it ‘home’ to us and our myriad fellow repeat guests. As ever, we’ll be back! Kim and Mike Wilton Toronto…
My husband, son and I visited and had an amazing time. The staff was wonderful from second we had stepped on the property to the time we left. The property is amazingly beautiful. Rooms were very nice and the ocean front view was amazing. The two owners were always around working and assisting guests. We chose the meal plan for breakfast and lunch and it was well worth it. Both restaurants had amazing food. The ocean grill was phenomenal. We had fond fishing and the kitchen cooked our fish for our lunch and it was so delicious. The resort beach was one of my favorite beaches on the island. The views were outstanding. Can’t wait t visit Pompano Beach Resort again.
I stayed here with my father for four nights and we thought it was excellent. It has a lot of amenities available but also does not feel like a cookie-cutter resort. As a hotel that has been operating since the 1950s it has some character and history that makes it stand out. The beach on the sandbar was clean and absolutely beautiful, as was the view of the ocean that is accessible in so many places indoors and out. The shuttle takes you to the main road any time you ask which makes the public transport easy to use. The shuttle can also take you to the nearby Rockaway Ferry that is a fast and easy way to get to Hamilton (more pleasant than the bus). The front desk answered all our questions and were very friendly. Our room was upgraded on arrival due to some reservation changes, but the view from our original room would also have been fantastic. We highly recommend the breakfast/dinner food plan, the food options were interesting and delicious and we got a lot of value for our money. It's a lot easier than trying to get somewhere to eat via public transport, and we tried some new things we might not have if we were in a regular restaurant. We loved out stay and would come back again.…
We have had the pleasure of staying at Pompano Beach Club for a number of years. Expecting that you have already seen their video, which is an excellent depiction of the hotel and its facilities, we will only report upon a few additional aspects. The hotel does really overlook the beach. It is at the end of a fairly long drive. Complimentary transport is provided to and from the bus stops, the Park Royal Golf Course and a local ferry stop. The food really is first class. The Cedar Room provides an a la carte choice, which changes each evening, an the Ocean Grill has an extensive fixed menu. There is also casual dining in the cafe at lunchtime. The rooms are very well equipped and most comfortable with virtually every room overlooking the sea. Pompano is owned and managed by the Lamb family and they are very much in evidence and "hands on". They always have time to talk to their guests and that attitude extends also to their staff, many of whom have worked there for years. What is most striking is the attitude of "Nothing is too much trouble". We are certainly looking forward to getting back to Pompano. Robin & Di Gray, UK.…
We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Pompano Beach Club in Bermuda. The owner / manager, Tom Lamb, and his staff could not do enough to insure that their guests were “completely” satisfied. The food in both restaurants was excellent. The amenities were great. The rooms were neat and clean and the property, pool, whirlpools and was very well maintained. Everything was just perfect for us. Even after suffering through 2 plus years of COVID and significant drops in tourism, this hotel somehow kept the faith and brought the resort back to life. I can’t remember a vacation where “every other guest” who we had the pleasure of meeting were completely satisfied and not one negative comment about this hotel. We also have to mention that every island resident with whom we interacted could not have been warmer and more helpful. We even had a moped breakdown one afternoon and there were at least 4 islanders who came to our aid in minutes to get us going again. All in all, this was a 6 star visit to beautiful Bermuda. We are hesitant to tell too many people about Pompano Beach Club for fear they might all book a week at this same time next year and there may be no availability for my wife and I when we try to book our visit next year. Thank you Tom Lamb and staff for a phenomenal experience. Chris & Cathy Marino, Staten island, NY…
