I had a really good stay at Coco Reef. Its an affordable hotel, and unlike many others, it sits right on a beautiful beach where you can watch the sun rise each day. Note that I visited in May 2021, and due to the pandemic and staff shortages, all the restaurants were closed in the hotel, so it was not possible to get any food or drink. However, they hotel staff supplied we with an app from which I could order (Sargasso Sea) until my covid test came back negative and I was able to venture out onto the island. The rooms are basic, but clean. There is a fridge to store any food you bring with you, and they come round and clean the room each day. Beachfront rooms are not much more expensive than regular ones, and it was magical to wake up to the sunrise on the horizon, and go to bed with the sound of the waves crashing on the beach below. The walks along the beach are wonderful, and the water is a great temperature (refreshing but not cold) and the most beautiful crystal clear blue. If you are keen to have both a pool and a beautiful beach on site at a good price point, I would recommend this hotel. The staff are wonderful, and the location is great (approximately in the middle of the island) so both the west and east side of the island are accessible. There is a nice little restaurant 7 mins walk called Paraquet that does both pick up and delivery, and you can walk to Hamilton in under an hour.

Hotel's Favorite
Its been about 12 years or so since we visited but I have fond memories of this lovely little hotel. The view of the sea from the bedroom was great and there was a small private secluded beach. The small pool was welcoming. The food was good and there is a large hotel next door if you want to dine elsewhere.

This hotel was just amazing. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. They were always willing to assist with arranging taxis and gave me some great tips on where to go! Yeah the rooms are a little outdated, but who sits in their room all day when they're in beautiful Bermuda! This hotel is right on the beach which I loved. There were always lounge chairs available and it was so peaceful. I loved seeing the cat everyday! My only complaint is that I wish there were more towels available. It was kind of hard to get them. I can't wait to return once the pandemic is over.

We had booked here for the holiday as have stayed before and was close to where we were going to be going over that period. Received a phone call at about 12:45 enquiring when we were thinking of checking in and told them and was asked if could make it before then as he had to leave at 4pm. Nothing registered at this time as being too strange. Arrive before the allotted time and on arrival I notice there is a sign on the door that the restaurant and bar is closed. I ask about this and the guy behind the desk was very nice but could not advise me where I was going to get any breakfast etc the following day being a holiday and most places were closed. Carried on checking in and had what could have been a nice room down overlooking the beach but it was freezing so tried turning the heating on but it just got colder.Phone in the room was missing half of its buttons so you couldn't contact the Front Desk. When my husband arrived back to the room with some of out luggage he knew I was not happy so we made alternative arrangements. When he got to the Front Desk the young was very good and immediately offered us a full refund and by the time I got up there to return my key the place was locked up tight. I think someone should have advised us that the facilities were totally shut down. We had called there about another matter and still waiting for the GM to return call. Basically all you were getting was a very cold room and nowhere else to go.

Although my wife and I had gone to the Stonington Beach Hotel many years ago, we hadn't been back in a long time but had the opportunity to join some friends at this new version. The highlights: 1) Coco Reef is right on the beach, so this is a perfect location for anybody who would like to be close to the water, which would include me. Not all rooms face the water so be sure to ask for that when making a reservation. 2) We found the whole crew at Coco Beach to be simply terrific, from the bartenders to the servers in the restaurant and the helpful team at the front desk. Any questions we had were handled immediately and the front desk crew was happy to make reservations or arrange scooter rentals or recommend a place for lunch elsewhere on the Island. 3) Our room was on the second floor of one of the hotel's outbuildings with an ocean view and it was a good size, with a refrigerator and a reasonably-large-screen TV. Other things to keep in mind: The architectural details and decorative scheme in Coco Reef will definitely not be to everyone's taste. We didn't realize that Bob Guccione had started his career as a decorator and whoever advised the hotel on art for the walls clearly failed his paint-by-numbers class. I'd like to say it tends to grow on you after awhile but the best thing about it is that most of the time you'll be outside. Ocean Reef is also located in a good part of Paget, so it's easy to get around; not far from Hamilton but not too close either.
