At the Hamilton Princess & Beach Club, guests have called out the superb service, lauding the staff's professionalism and attentiveness. The Gold Level comes highly recommended for its exclusive amenities, despite the hotel's premium pricing. Visitors consistently commend the spotless upkeep of the hotel, from the rooms to the grounds.
While the comfort and views from the rooms earn praise, a few reviewers suggest they could benefit from modernization. The hotel's array of luxurious amenities, central location, and the sumptuous atmosphere is popular among guests, although there are occasional comments about noise and the need for room updates.

Hotel's Favorite
Only a 2 hour flight from New York, this a a perfect quick getaway that offers an upscale island experience. Bermuda is one of the best just off the east coast of the US. Fairly quick and very pleasant ride from the airport, which is clean, well appointed, and easy to navigate. Cab drivers are very nice and knowledgeable, and the prices are fair. The Hamilton Princess is a centrally located great in town luxury hotel with outstanding service. Although this is an older historic hotel, it has been updated and it is beautifully maintained and comfortable. As a Fairmont property, every amenity has been considered. The hotel staff are friendly, pleasant, knowledgeable and efficient. Rooms have been upgraded and are spacious, comfortable, clean, and modern. Bathrooms are comfortable and very well appointed. The check in experience is excellent and there is a separate private check-in counter for the club section of the hotel. Lovely pool area looking out on the water and boats. Boutique shopping available on the first floor of the hotel. The food, which is typical in Bermuda is excellent. Highly recommend getting a room which give access to the club room floor, which offers complimentary beverage service throughout the day, as well as various food selections, including, breakfast, light lunch, snacks, and evening canapes. Service is self-serve as well as wait staffed if you prefer. A variety of good restaurants are available within the restaurant as well as close by. Although this is not a beach hotel, the beach is accessible from the hotel. Despite this, there are beautiful water and harbor views from many rooms and the common areas of the hotel. Lovely quiet pool. This is more of an adult hotel, although children are welcome. The amenities and layout cater to adults. Outstanding concierge service which can help with access to anything you might want to do on island. There is a lovely spa right on site. The only negatives are that the hotel can be pricey, which is the case in Bermuda, and this is a large hotel which can required long walks to your room. Request a centrally located room with your reservation and at check in. Overall wonderful experience and highly recommended.

Having stayed at the Hamilton Princess on a number of occasions, in returning last week myself and colleagues were greeted by the Guest Services Manager Niki, who explained perfectly about the measures the hotel are taking to safeguard guests whilst optimising their experience during the Coronavirus pandemic.
Niki explained which hotel services would be available and how, and where contingencies were in place for guests regarding the gym and spa amenities.
I was provided a spacious suite with a balcony overlooking Hamilton Harbour during my stay. The room was cleaned and sanitised to a very high standard prior to my arrival, and the housekeeping team were very present and on hand, offering product replenishments to the room or other cleaning services.
We were allowed to dine at the buffet breakfast providing we had two negative Coronavirus test results. The spread was magnificent, a huge choice available of tasty breakfast foods. Thank you to Kya and her colleagues who provided a wonderful breakfast service to us.
I took advantage of the infinity pool during my stay which was a truly relaxing experience.
The overall standards from the entire hotel team at the Princess are thoroughly maintained.
They are welcoming, timely and efficient in everything they do and ultimately I believe that’s why I have such an enjoyable, premium experience at this hotel each time.
I can not fault this hotel one bit and would absolutely recommend others stay here, whether you are visiting Bermuda for leisure or business purposes.
Thank you Hamilton Princess!

Normally when in Bermuda I book at Fairmont Southampton more often than not, however it is now closed for renovations and will not reopen until 2022 so for this trip I returned to Fairmont Hamilton Princess where I stayed a few times in the past. The hotel can be expensive at times because it’s far and away the best hotel on the island for business travelers due to location and those guests can tend to be less price sensitive. However during covid I had no problem finding a good rate and my stay was as enjoyable as usual.
I stayed in the Harbour View Suite: this room had a large balcony and a nice view which we could enjoy from both the living room and the bedroom. The living room was very spacious and had hardwood floor with high ceilings to make for a great place to spend time. In contrast, the bedroom was mostly to sleep: the room was fairly small and the ceiling was low.
As the Accor Diamond breakfast benefit on weekends, we could order whatever we wanted from the menu and they removed the entire bill for those two mornings from the final invoice. The value can be quite material because of Bermuda’s high prices and I appreciated the fact that they did not limit breakfast to one item only which is what some more stingy hotels do. As an extra perk they allowed breakfast to be brought to the room at no extra charge instead of insisting on breakfast being in the restaurant only.
While Hamilton Princess is a city hotel and Fairmont Southampton is a beach resort, Hamilton Princess has a nice feature that they have a shuttle bus 4-6 times per day that takes guests to the hotel’s private beach near Fairmont Southampton and have everything needed such as towels, showers, changing rooms, lockers, sun loungers, etc. It gives the Hamilton Princess hotel fairly easy access to a decent beach on the south shore while being centrally located in the city with lots of nice restaurants and shops within walking distance.
The common areas of the hotel including the pools are beautiful and well maintained. The hotel might not be on a beach but it’s nonetheless right beside the water so it can be good enough to give a relaxing / vacation feeling to guests. I particularly like the excellent 1609 restaurant in open air by the marina although unfortunately for this visit it was closed.
Overall I was pleased with our stay once again and I will return. I would note that in 2021 a St.Regis will open which will provide some competition to Fairmont Hamilton Princess although StR will be at the far end of the island in St.George’s; based on location alone I suspect Fairmont will retain its status as one of the best hotels on the island especially for people who want or need to be in Hamilton.

Dear WorldWideTravel88, Thank you for taking the time to write such a lovely detailed review of our property. I am so pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us. The Accor Diamond benefit is a great perk for our loyal guests of the Accor Brand, and I am glad you enjoyed this. We certainly do waive the delivery fee for guests who are waiting for their first COVID result, as breakfast must be enjoyed in your room. I am sorry that you didn't get the chance to dine with us at 1609, as we do close this restaurant in the cooler months. Hopefully you will get the chance to come back and dine with us in the not too distant future! We look forward to welcoming you back on your next visit to Bermuda! I enjoyed being able to walk to the ferry and all of the other downtown stuff, e.g., a small movie theater, various restaurants, and a bookstore.
Bermuda is a bit scary for cycling due to narrow roads and fast-moving cars, but the hotel will lend you a bike and they have some in sizes for taller guests.
My "suite" was, I think, cobbled together by knocking out a wall between two older single rooms. It was about the same size as a better Hampton Inn room. The bathroom was basic. The carpet was frayed. The bathtub drain was clogged (a call for maintenance did not yield any improvement in this area). Buried in the fine print of my Orbitz reservation was an $11/person-day "cleaning" fee. My final bill tacked on $39/day for "cleaning" (I had also left $5 tips each days so I ended up paying $44/day). I was told that they charge for three people in a "suite" regardless of the number of people (1 in my case) who actually occupy the room.
[What stops hotels from charging $5/night and then adding $300/night in via fine print fees?]
The breakfast buffet was at the usual shocking hotel price, but since everything in Bermuda is super expensive the breakfast turned out to be a reasonable value.
The locals don't seem to be devoted to this place. I asked an insurance executive where he parks business visitors and the answer was "wherever is cheapest at the time."

My husband and I recently spent our anniversary at The Fairmont Hamilton Princess and we were thoroughly impressed. Masks are mandatory and hand sanitizer is available at every turn. As locals, we were happy with the safety procedures in place. Our balcony room overlooked the stunning Hamilton harbour and the marina was as beautiful in the afternoon rain as it was in the morning sunshine. The room was spacious, comfortable, beautifully decorated and provided all the necessities. We enjoyed breakfast, lunch and dinner at The Crown and Anchor restaurant and bar. We were able to really explore the menu and the food was delicious and always arrived hot. The band Working Title was excellent. They created a real party atmosphere and made anyone celebrating an occasion feel special. The hotel has a remarkable, eclectic display of artwork throughout the premises which would please the most discerning art critic as well as the casual viewer. The staff at The Princess are wonderful - thank you Niki Prassa for checking on us! We did not have a chance to take the shuttle to The Beach Club or visit the new Duchess Cafe, but I will be back - soon! Michelle B.

I have been to Bermuda 6 times now and every time I have stayed at the Hamilton Princess.
The hotel is beautiful, clean, the food is delicious and the customer service is exceptional every time. Niki always make me feel welcome and nothing is ever too much trouble for the staff.
The hotel have made many changes since the pandemic, hand sanitiser stations everywhere, a one way system and mandatory mask wearing in communal areas. Also in your room you get a pack with your own hand sanitiser, masks and sanitiser wipes. I felt completely safe through my whole stay there.
There are two beautiful pools looking out to the ocean and one of them is an infinity pool.
Hamilton princess is by far my favourite hotel out of any destination I have been to and I travel for work so I have visited many.
Thank you to Niki and all the staff. Keep doing what you do!

Hamilton Princess is a nice place with an excellent location right on the water in Hamilton. The staff is superb. Very polite, hospitable, Knowledgeable and re extremely helpful some of the best we have seen.. Especially at the restaurants . Randy and Yuri at the Crown and Anchor are top notch. The front desk people are very nice too however they could be better trained in proving info regarding the activities available to guest and information regarding the restaurants within the hotel. The welcome people at the front door were also very nice. The cleaning crew was equally great. The rooms can use some update ( our room's carpet needs replacement) but they were clean and properly filled with hygiene items. The Hotel was properly strict regarding COVID and met the Government requirements. There are plenty of water activities around the corner from the hotel and most restaurants are within 10 minute walk. An area where the Hotel needs to improve is the quality and choice of food. Menus need to be more diversified and actual food is decent to good but for the price and standards it has room to improve. Taking into consideration the conditions and time of our visit (COVID, lack of people) we consider our visit satisfactory (with room to improve) and if we were do go back to Bermuda we would likely stay at same place.

The Hamilton Princess is an elegant hotel which offers a traveler all that they need in the perfect location offering the charming town of Hamilton and the beautiful private beach a short hotel bus ride away. We chose the Gold Lounge level which was worth every penny, from breakfast through tea time, hors d'oeuvre and dessert, the staff was always ready with a smile and provided excellent service. The food was first class. It was a birthday surprise celebration for my husband and the staff made it extra special with surprise birthday cake and mimosas at breakfast!
Bermuda is very expensive and the Hamilton Princess is at the top of the scale, but due to all of the service and amenities, this is a wonderful choice in Bermuda. In other locations around the world, we have spent half the amount and received the same service, but we understood that this would be the case in Bermuda. This is why later in the survey, I rated the value for money a bit lower.

We had a rough start to our stay, as our room wasn't ready at 4 pm and wasn't ready for another 3 hours. John, the manager on duty, made it right and we were happy with his offer. Pierre and Arrington at the front desk were wonderful! Otherwise, our stay was perfect. We enjoyed being close to town, but still have a quite, harbor view. The hotel and property are very clean. The pool is heated, with clean towels, water, and sunscreen available. These are also available at the hotel's gorgeous private beach! The beach also has SUP and kayaks to use for no charge. Both restaurants offer great service and food. We couldn't have picked a better place to stay in Bermuda.

I booked a staycation to celebrate my birthday and it was the perfect weekend! We were able to check in at 12pm due to the hotel not being busy. Unfortunately, the room I booked didn't have a tub. I received a text message from Niki later that afternoon to enquire with my room and stay so far. I expressed my disappointment that I didn't have a tub with my room (as it wasn't stated when I booked the room). She went above and beyond, having the bellman show me three different rooms to pick from in the main building (none had a balcony like my current room, but all had tubs). I picked a room facing the harbor (beautiful view!) with a sitting area. The room service and Crown & Anchor were absolutely delicious and not bad for the price. The lemonade with vodka was to die for and became my favorite drink to order with every meal. I was very impressed with HP and would highly recommend to others. Every employee we encountered were friendly and hospitable, including the security guard at the front door taking everyone's temperature. The room also had a COVID "goodie bag" with face masks, hand sanitizer and alcohol wipes.
