Had a great vacation with family and friends at the Divi Dutch Village Beach Resort. The amenities were nice and the resort was well laid out. Abundant things to do at the resort and the island. The resort is located close to everything and the staff are friendly, especially Yvonne the concierge and all of the shuttle drivers we encountered, especially the whistling driver that says "i love you" to everyone. The rooms are spacious and customer service is top rated. I will definitely go back.

I can not say enough about our recent stay at the Divi Dutch Village in Aruba. The location is prime, amenities superb, and the staff could not be friendlier or more helpful. My husband and I work hard to play hard and we were so excited to have the opportunity to go to Aruba. No regrets. We did the all-inclusive package and it was the way to go! We were greeted right from the start by Chantel and Yvonne and they made sure each day got better. Worst day in Divi is your last day in Divi!!! We always felt safe even at night downtown. We're going back!

We exchanged through RCI for a 2 bedroom condo for 5 of us. Condo was spacious and had plenty of room to move around. This is exactly the type of resort we love. Because flights all seem to arrive in the middle of the day and people are there early the rooms are rarely clean before 4 or 5. The check in line was long and slow but we were able to change into swimwear and go to the pool or beach while waiting for our condo. Divi should consider making checkout at 10 as to be able to get into the rooms to clean earlier. Most timeshare checkouts are at 10. We didn't opt for the all inclusive program and it made our vacation much cheaper. We stopped at the liquor store in the airport because it's way cheaper than stores. We spent $300 at the grocery store and bought some snacks, breakfast and lunch items. We rented a car so it was easy to find restaurants all over the island. The tiki bar served great burgers, we ate there several times. At times they definitely needed more than 2 servers. Divi has several resorts all in the same area so it's a bit confusing to figure it all out. We didn't even check out the 3rd pool as our room was located at the big square pool and the pool with the tiki bar was just around the corner. There were always loungers and beds available. People were pretty considerate about not claiming a spot and leaving stuff there all day. The beach in this area is rocky, we only went out in it once and then traveled everyday to other beaches. This area is amazing for sunsets and watching the pelicans dive for food. We found some pretty amazing sea shells there too. The palapas and sand located in front of the Divi Golf Resort are great but in the surf is the same coral/shells you have to step through to get out to the clear areas. It's also a bit of a walk from the Divi Dutch in the heat so we drove down and parked right off the road. That worked great for us. They chain up the loungers at night so if you go first thing in the morning you have to find a worker to get you chairs. If you are early you can get the front row, if you are later you are closer to the back and the road which can be noisy and not very relaxing. Overall we had an amazing vacation. We liked being in the high rise area at night but were glad we were out of the action the rest of the time. I'm a one and done gal but I would consider going back to Aruba. I think having a car to do what we wanted made it a great vacation. I would stay at the Divi Dutch again.

We are so glad we picked the Divi Dutch Village for our first trip to Aruba. We traveled with another family - so there were 4 adults and 4 kids - July 1-10, 2019. If you do not need ocean front, which we do not because we are never in our room - stay here!!! You are literally across the sidewalk to the ocean. The rooms are BIG and renovated (we had a garden suite), and the maid staff was always prompt in taking care of things. The grounds were immaculate and the pools SUPER clean. The BEST PARTS: while we were told the resort was at capacity, it seemed like we had the place to ourselves (at the pool and beach) - we stayed in buildings 12 & 13 which were farther away from the restaurants and bars, but we preferred the solitude. The BEACH right out from our room was UNREAL. Clear and CALM. Picture perfect. Bring water shoes to get over the little bit of coral, but it is truly magical. Everyone is super friendly and helpful. The ONLY bad part:: Making dinner reservations. It was not easy at all. We even tipped the concierge nicely, in hopes she would help - she tried her best. I really think that because we had the all inclusive package, that they make it nearly impossible for you to book the ala carte restaurants. The buffet is good, but when you spend nearly 8k to stay for 10 days, you should be able to make dinner reservations. Taxi rides are only $10 about everywhere you go, so we left and ate out a couple of nights. This would not preclude us from staying here in the future. Because of the size of the rooms and the proximity to the grocery store - we would not do the all inclusive package. Just get the 1 bedroom garden suite and you will be in heaven! We will definitely return to Aruba and to the Divi Dutch. Staying at the high rise location of the island is just too busy for us... we like to relax!! And this is the place for that!! No one bothers you AT ALL!!!! You do not have to get up at sunrise to reserve a chair - that is a HUGE PLUS!!
