The remodeled studio we had was much improved from before, with first class furnishings. Now no sofa/bed, but instead two queen beds, which does cut down on the open floor space. An adequate dining table with four chairs, and room for only one large chair with foot rest and floor lamp. Lighting overall was excellent- way above average, with lots of outlets, charge points, etc. A ceiling fan and new wall mounted, Smart, flatscreen TV, already Internet connected with the typical Apps(that a first for us- anywhere!), as well as many channels. Remember a lot of your favorite App shows (Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, etc) won’t be here though, as they’re not licensed to be available in Aruba. We used the deck for all our meals, with it’s nice sized table, and four chairs. Ours was second story overlooking the CDM pool next door, and we could see the ocean. Fantastic bath and shower. The studio kitchen remains “partial” perhaps more so than before. No dishwasher, a very small microwave, but excellent five (!) burner gas stove top. We cooked most meals, with a few items lacking- no measuring cup or spoons, and we had to call for a blender. We did get one, but I don’t think I’ve ever had to call for one before in 25 years of time-sharing. We don’t drink coffee, but there was no coffee maker either. Perhaps they bring one if you ask. They do not provide paper towels either, which is almost unheard of in a resort of this class. We got possibly the best housekeeping service ever- I never got the chance to use a towel twice- they came every day, although the sheets were never changed. Four huge, plush, beach towels are in each room, which housekeeping can change out. WiFi is excellent, although it costs $35/week for three devices. They may be the only resort on the island that still charges for it. Also the government tax increased by 45%, so that was a unwanted $29 surprise for the week. We used the gas barbecue grill once, which cost $10! Again higher than anywhere else (free at the Divi’s). We reserved it three days in advance, and still had to bug them to get it in place fifteen minutes late. Activities are above average, although you better ask, as everything didn’t seem to be listed. All the staff we encountered were friendly, and top notch. We had a great stay, but the Aruba Beach Club is our last choice of RCI resorts in Aruba, mostly due to their fierce competition concerning items I mentioned (no oven, dishwasher, costs of Wifi, grill use, etc.)…
