This resort is the best as far as my family is concerned we are always treated like family and always feel welcome. The bellman Cristian is unbelievable and attentive to all our needs and one of the most pleasant person to speak with. The concierge Valarie and Adriana are great. I just can't say enough about how wonderful all the staff at this resort are (the bartenders, the front desk even Kevin Jewelers) they really make the resort feel like home.
The resort is located on the beach, which is ideal. It's not too crowded and there are multiple pools and ares to hang out. The resort could improve by implementing some fun evening activities. There are grills located on the property for those families who are intersted and the supermarket is within minutes. Our hot water went out due to an issue at the resort. The supervisor did help us after a few days by providing an alternate villa for us to shower. Overall, the resort is nice and I would stay there again.
Nice clean hotel. Two great pool areas. Friendly staff. Awesome deli on premises. Our efficiency was a bit dated, clean, and had everything you would need. Good spa. A bit of a walk to the downtown area but certainly doable. Lots of restaurants in that area. There is a nice beach area. Also a beachside restaurant that we did not eat in as it is closed often due to hosting private events.
Family and I visited for birthday celebrations. Check in was great. However, other family members had various issues including substandard room, no hot water in room and incorrect hotel stay length. After two days, everyone was moved to better accommodations and length of stay was corrected. Beach attendants and pool bar staff were wonderful. We were able to have the pergola most of the time we were there. Hotel, pool area and beach were beautiful. Last beach vacation was over three years ago. This did not disappoint. Loved having the small kitchen in room. Went to grocery store and purchased breakfast and lunch items. Two bathrooms in the room was wonderful. My main issues with the room is the musty smell and the very hard bed. The smell remained throughout our six nights. Loads of restaurants within walking distance. Very quiet at night. Had a corner suite with extended balcony.…
All around amazing stay! Extremely impressed with the beach service. One morning, I woke up later than I normally would and with surprise Julio Morales and Andres Navarro managed to reserve the same palapa that we were using all week. It was such a pleasure starting my morning with their assistance and positive attitude. This was my ~40th time in Aruba and my first time at the Divi Divi Phoenix. Normally, I stay at the Hilton. If I had to pick between the Divi Divi Phoenix or the Hilton, I would pick the Hilton because of the location. My family really loved the idea of a more private beach but being that I am a single 29 year old, I like more action and more people. Maybe when I am older, I will prefer the privacy more. Our house keep Anna was phenomenal and super attentive. My only complaint is that they should have more water stations through out the beach. I felt like such a nuisance asking the pool bar workers to fill my water bottle up with water and almost felt guilty of not tipping. I would be more than happy filling my own water and not having to feel guilty if I didn't tip. All around, all the employees were amazing.…
I am short of words to describe how kind and always willing to help with anything we need we are at the resort and making us feel at home. This time I need to mention Darvin R. for always entertaining us at the pool with his humor and incredible energy. Also Sarah at Pure Ocean. So nice and caring.
The Divi Phoenix is a great family resort. All the personnel are friendly and extremely helpful. One specifically stands out Julio Rodriguez the Beach attendant - every morning he greeted us and secure a Palapa with lounge chairs. During the day he would always came by to see if we needed anything. The resort is well maintained and constantly updated. Location is in walking distance to all the restaurants on the strip. The only item I wish the Divi would have is an additional restaurant to eat - Pure Ocean restaurant is only open on some nights and not during the days.
Staff very friendly and accommodating. Clean comfortable rooms at reasonable rates for island. Amenities are a bit dated but overall good. Great location on island. Compared to other resorts it did not feel crowded here which added to enjoyment.
Check in was a breeze. Two couples….two one bedroom units. The condo was immaculate. Beautiful view ( to the side) of the beach, and great view of the pools. Was told we had a ocean view, disappointed that we really couldn’t see only to the very side of the beach. Called and was told there were no available rooms to change us, but saw many, many unoccupied units. Disappointed…. BUT, it was very quiet at the resort. Located in the middle of restaurants and other resorts. Great location. It as a great week. Only problem we had was that the washer/dryer combo did not dry clothes after three hours. Had to find a laundry to take our wet clothes to dry them. Renting a car for$800 for a week was not in our best interest. Cabs or Ubers are very reasonable and driving in Aruba is very scary with no street lights, no stop signs, and round about every three minutes. Next time, and we definitely will go back to Divi Phoenix, no rental car. I will post some pics below. Great place to rest and relax.…
This was our first stay at Divi Aruba Phoenix Beach Resort, however we are timeshare owners at a different Divi property in St Maarten. We stayed at Phoenix for two weeks and our stay generally exceeded our expectations. A few days in to our stay we had a problem with our room. Initially there was a bit of back and forth between departments (front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance) but the manager on duty (Shakell) personally confirmed the issue and moved us to a new room quickly. The rooms were clean but maintenance seemed to be a little behind and things are starting to show wear and tear. The rooms were generally quiet except for the sound of furniture legs scraping the tile floor above us. Pool chairs are a major negative at this property as they'd all be claimed by 10:00am. Most of the chairs would simply be a towel holder for hours and the person who claimed them no where to be found. One day when we did get chairs, we came back from a quick dip in the ocean (20 minutes) to find someone had just stuck there stuff on top of ours on the chairs. Despite the chair situation the pools never felt overcrowded and there was always room to have your own space and not feel on top of others. Probably outside of the property's direct control, but the beach is really not great. The entry is very rocky and the rocks are the same color as the sand so impossible to see. The water is incredibly shallow - walking out to the rope and buoys I was never more than waist deep. Add to that that the wind (which is great for keeping the heat and humidity at bay) is constantly blowing the sand giving a nice exfoliation if you're trying to lounge on the beach. The staff were always friendly and helpful. Divi Aruba Phoenix is perfectly serviceable as a place to stay on your vacation, but there are areas for improvement.…
