We were nervous when we booked but the second we got to the property we fell in love.

Here's why The Holiday Inn Aruba is your best value option in all of Aruba and here's why:

The Location - 10/10 everything you'd ever need is on property or within a 1/4 mile walk.

*The Beach* - Palm Beach is nice but the stretch in front of this hotel compared to every other is a 10/10 zero rocks, free chairs everywhere, and service to the beach for all food and drinks.

The all-inclusive package is a dream - Food/Drink in Aruba is expensive and since only 30% of guests take advantage of the "all-inclusive" package, 70% of guests are paying high prices for everything out of pocket. That means the food and drinks have to be above average at worst. They're better than above average. This was the best food, drinks, and service we've experienced after staying at some of the highest rated/most expensive "all inclusive" resorts in the caribbean.

The Room (In the Sea Tower) - We had an ocean view balcony room. It was everything we needed and most importantly it was clean. 2nd most important was that the AC was ice cold.

The Food - As an FYI - Be sure to book reservations for dinner on OpenTable before Noon on the day you want to dine because it's rare but they can fill up.
Seabreeze is open 7 nights a week..
Agave and DaVinci rotate every other night for staffing purposes.. Agave is also really new, so the opentable page doesn't have much info on it.. I included the pictures of the menu below.. unfortunately my food was too delicious I ate it before I got the camera out both nights.

Coffee Bar - (Also an award winning "made-from scrach" cocktail bar at night) - All coffee drinks, bagels, fruit cups, sandwiches, muffins, and cookies were included with out package.

Breakfast was exceptional. A beautiful buffet style set up with fresh made omelets, eggs, and waffles. Crispy bacon, multiple types of sausage, smoothies, juices, freshly cut fruit, arepas, empanadas, smoked salmon, muffins, danishes, spring rolls, and a whole lot more.

Lunches -
Oceanside Beach Bar + Grill was our choice on multiple days delivered to the beach and one day we ate at the bar. The menu was excellent and everything was perfect. We ordered everything on the menu throughout those days.

The Seabreeze was a good change of pace one of our days with fresh salads, delicious entrees and familiar faces to those who serve at dinner.

Dinners -
The Seabreeze - 10/10 Steaks, Fish, Octopus, Ahi Tuna, Salads, Appetizers.. all of it was amazing. My wife who's pregnant can only have well-done steak (gross I know) had the most amazing NY Strip steak that was still juicy and tender. The desserts were unbelievable too.. Pistachio Creme Brulee, Cheesecake

Agave - 9/10 Excellent Mexican food, fast service, good drinks, and homemade churros.

Da Vinci was the only place over 7 nights where they missed the mark - Presentation was amazing. Staffing was short, but service was great. BUT the meal took 3 hours due to a slow kitchen and a packed restaurant. The food was good, and well presented - only dish I didn't care for was the Bruschetta - it was a slice of italian bread (untoasted/ungrilled) smeared with mayo BUT covered in the most delicious toppings. If they had grilled the bread and used olive oil instead of mayo this would've been a 10/10 too. The chicken parm and the bolognese were really good too. Great flavor all around and you could tell everything was high quality and fresh. They also make their Tiramisu the traditional way with lady fingers, mascarpone cheese, and coated with a generous amount of cinnamon and nutmeg.

Overall I would recommend this resort to everyone. There's a stigma when you hear "Holiday Inn" but if this was named "The Oceanside @ Palm Beach" by IHG you would think it was a boutique resort for double the price.

We took the short walk to the other hotels and surprisingly almost all of them were set back a couple hundred yards from the ocean while our room was not even 30 yards away. The stellaris and the ritz were gorgeous properties and had better rooms, but on a beach vacation at least for us, we don't spend much time in the room besides morning reading and coffee on the balcony and late night relaxation before bed usually on the balcony too.

I also want to give a huge shout out to the great people who work at the property. I'm sorry if I'm missing anyone who treated us with exceptional service but here goes:

Don, Joselito, Myla <3, Jonathan, Boris, Veronica <3, Jhonu, Justin (Agave), Thomas (Coffee Bar), Willy (Seabreeze), Edwardo (Beach Bar), Techna, Chadira, Viktor (Coffee Bar at Night), and so many more good cool people.. Thanks for making our experience amazing. I really know I'm forgetting at least 6 other names who went above and beyond and were just cool people.

Cheers to hoping your vacation is as relaxing, and as enjoyable as ours was!

After credits sneak peak.............

No Complaints just Comments/Suggestions..
For the all inclusive, import beers and cocktails without house liquor were full price. I would've paid an extra $3-5 as an upcharge to get Tito's in my vodka drinks, or to have a Heineken but this wasn't an option.

Some of the rooms need to be updated but the location on the beach and being near every type of restaurant you would want to visit make it just right. A low density property compared to the other hotels nearby which cost a lot more. Hotel staff was excellent from the front desk to housekeeping to maintenance that replaced my fridge on a Sunday within half an hour. Added bonus is that every room has an empty half refrigerator (not one of those motion detection or stocked minibars) and each building has a washer and dryer. The one downside is that if you are oceanfront in the middle building the sounds and smells of the vents from one of the restaurants makes sitting on the balcony unpleasant. I would pass on the palapas too far from the water...and the umbrella situation is the same wherever you go on the island (at the public beach it was $25 for an umbrella and $1 to use the Ladies room!).

We visited with our grown children and their families. Lots of positives for this hotel. The rooms are clean, beds are comfortable with good linen and pillows. The bathroom had been updated in our unit. "Kids eat free" is a bonus and adult food is priced comparable to the restaurants off resort. There are many restaurants within walking distance off resort if one chooses variety.

We usually visit all inclusives for a winter vacation and were unhappy about the additional payment for a beach umbrella (shade). We were told that since the beaches are public the resorts have to ration the number of shaded bamboo structures to meet demand.

In general we would like resorts to use fewer disposable cups and cutlery. Renewables would be preferable. ( paper and bamboo products).

If you crave fine weather tempered by the ever present breezes and a clean and safe local, Aruba is a great vacation choice.

Dear springwater123, Masha danki for your recent stay with us and for sharing your experience. We are so happy to know you had a great stay with us and that you enjoyed our rooms and 'kids eat free" promo. We are sorry to hear about the inconvience you faced due to the umbrella rental fee, unfortunately we had to implement this system due to the umbrellas being on government land- which does not allow us to implement more umbrellas to meet all of our guests need. We appreciate your feedback about the disposable cups and cutlery, rest assured we shall share your comments with our management team to work on improvements. We hope to see you back again soon and stay safe! Island regards, Guest Experience Manager Holiday Inn Resort Aruba- Beach Resort & Casino

This is our third time staying at the Holiday Inn Aruba and plan on returning in the future. We absolutely enjoyed our family vacation and had a wonderful experience. Housekeeping was responsive, friendly, and honored our requests. Currently due to the Covid pandemic they are cleaning rooms every other day but, if you call them or speak directly to your housekeeper they will adjust their cleaning schedule to meet your needs. We requested daily trash and towels and asked for our floors to be cleaned twice during our 8 night stay. This was perfect for us and the staff was very accommodating. Our room was on the first floor of the Sea Tower which is the “newer” section of the hotel. We specifically requested room 7142 since it is an oceanfront room on the corner with windows facing the pool and a patio that steps right onto the beach and is about 30 yards from the beautiful Aruba ocean. Prior to our arrival we called and requested our room and we were thrilled to get our preferred room, we have stayed in this same exact room once before and we love the convenience of walking right onto the beach. We ordered room service every morning for breakfast and were pleased with the service, a few times they got the order wrong but, they quickly corrected the issue. Overall our stay here was great. This hotel is family friendly and there were plenty of friendly kids for my daughter to play with. Plus you cannot beat the location, other resorts may be fancier, more romantic or more adult oriented, but, for the price and service Holiday Inn is the best value.

We absolutely loved our stay. My young kids loved the options of different pools, playing in the kids centre, checking items out of the kids centre, the onsite iguanas, the options for dining both on the grounds and nearby. Our family of 4 didn't even need to check any bags or overcrowd our room with clothes and extras because of the perfect accommodations. I did two loads of laundry for a total of seven days which was not a problem because the laundry machines were not crowded and I simply set a timer on my phone and went about eating breakfast or lounging in the sand.
We did not encounter any major problems. The few times we needed help, the staff was amazingly quick to respond and fix the issue. The Kids-Eat-Free program made our holiday very affordable. If I return to Aruba I will definitely stay here. Because of the wonderful treatment and accommodations, I will definitely look to stay in Holiday Inn properties wherever we travel.
If you are traveling with kids, this is an extremely welcoming environment where they can find many other kids to interact with and you will not feel like you are intruding on others. If you do not have kids but like an environment with pleasant background noise and people watching opportunities, this will work for you too. There are three distinctly different beach front outdoor areas so that you can find the spot or spots that work perfect for you.

The beach is amazing and it's in one of the nicest areas. The hotel grounds are nice and room was ok, just average.
My boyfriend and I booked a king bed and got two full size beds (real romantic) they said they could not accommodate us until the next day, mind you the hotel did not seem busy at all!

The check in process was long, and we weren't happy with the desk person. They are not very friendly, and do not go out of their way to rectify their mistake. We paid for a king size room, not a double. On our second day, we stopped by the front desk to inquire about the room and after being told there were no king size rooms avail, one magically appeared!

The bars are very unimpressive, all the drinks were watered down and poorly tasting. The food was average, we had all inclusive thinking that we'd eat there everyday but it was so mediocre that we ate out most of the time. The breakfast was cold, bland, the staff was nice that was the only good thing about it. The restaurant for lunch and dinner was ok. There's not much variety and if you are a picky eater like me, you are in trouble. The food is bland, and for you to get a "better" quality you have to pay an additional charge, for example they had Sea bass which I was about to order however the waiter suggested I get Corvino at an additional $15US. It was good, but why charge extra if it's supposed to be all inclusive?!

They were awesome in sanitizing, social distance, wearing masks, checking temperatures and hand sanitizer was everywhere.

My recommendation is to stay away from here, there are much better hotels in the same area.

We had spent a week prior getting married in Key West and Aruba was our Honeymoon spot. I did a lot of research before choosing the Holiday Inn Resort. Palm Beach in my opinion is the best location to stay on the island. It has access to ALL water sports, restaurants, bars, shopping and it’s the nicest beach! Everything is in walking distance, if you stay on this side of the island. I read thru hundreds of reviews and decided on this hotel for its location, the reasonable cost for a week stay in an ocean front room, selection of restaurants on location and of course reviews. You did NOT disappoint! We loved staying here, and wished we had purchased the red all inclusive wrist bands from day one. We made great friends everyday relaxing in the ocean, the drinks were right & DeVinci was our favorite restaurant - specifically the Filet with the mushroom Risotto. I had that dish twice - and I don’t go to restaurant’s twice, especially on vacation as I am eager to try new places all the time! I’d also like to say we used your spa services twice for couples massages- much needed after a year of planning our Key West destination wedding! I was offered extra towels and the gentleman who found me an umbrella when the Palpas were all rented out, took the time to find one and stake it and also grabbed a spot for our drinks. It’s gestures like that, that make a place nicer to stay at. Your staff was great! Our housekeeper kindly came after 11am everyday, since we stayed out late every night. Thank you for the champagne upon arrival, very nice touch & welcome gift. We will stay with you again the next time we visit Aruba!

Thank you for an amazing stay!

Newlyweds, Riki & Tyler

We were there from 12/3-12/12. I would like to thank Elvaro for he does. Please don't ever retire! Our room was perfect as usual. Check in was fast and smooth as was check out. We also had our room cleaner Magalina again, she has been there for many years and always has a smile! Please buy the cleaning people new light weight vacuum cleaners, the ones they use are so heavy! I picked one up and could not believe how heavy they are. Was happy to see Erwin again, always a happy person! The only suggestion I have is, there is a need for more umbrellas around the pool now that many people do not have many beach huts. I had to get up at 6 AM to reserve my umbrella the first 5 mornings because by 7 AM they were taken. It is so nice to see old friends there year after year. Will be back again in December. Keep up the great work.

My partner and I decided to get away for a few days and escape what has become the new normal in the U.S. The location is great however the island closes down at 11pm and you literally can’t get anything after that time. Even this hotel doesn’t have water available after 11pm, yes, not even water. You have to drink out of the faucet for hydration if you find yourself thirsty from an evening of drinking on this tropical island. Additionally, you must also make sure you don’t get the late night munchies because you also won’t be able to get any food at the hotel or anywhere. Hopefully the curfew will end soon and things will be more normal. Overall not a bad place to stay but they need to make adjustments to how they operate considering what is going on.

We just stayed for a week at the Holiday Inn. I had read many reviews and used the advice. When I booked with Expedia for the best price it was a room with 2 double beds. I emailed Holiday Inn twice and asked for a king bed. When we arrived there were no king beds available but we could change the next day. Not wanting to lose an afternoon, we kept the room we had. The room was very clean and comfortable on the third floor of the Palm building. It was over the parking lot which had noisy trucks early in the morning. Besides that it was pretty quiet and had everything we needed. We did have to wait until 4 to check in. I think it would be nice to be a little flexible on the time if the room is ready. We booked a palapa each day. You could get a good spot if you chose one right at noon for the next day for $30. If you waited until after 3 to book one for the next day back further from the beach it was $15. We paid both rates. I favored the spot closest to the beach to see the water. We had no sunburn at all this trip. Housekeeping is so honest that they would not take the tip I left on the table without a note that it was for housekeeping. We did not do all inclusive and we used the advice of getting bottles of liquor at the airport and we brought our mixers with us (some powder) for our afternoon drinks. I booked dinner reservations from home a week ahead of time and all were within a half a mile for an enjoyable walk. There were many nice breakfast options close by too. The weather was warm, sunny & breezy. All employees were very friendly. The elevator worked fine. We did a DePalm bus tour to see the island and that was great. Eduardo's mermaid bowl was my lunch every day. Taxis were at the airport and at the hotel for our transfer. They also have US customs right at the Aruba airport for our return. We would try to go to local happy hour in the afternoon. All nearby food and drinks were delicious, especially the fish. The drinking water is so clean and tastes great. The location is perfect and I would definitely return.

There are several meals where you must pay an upcharge. Lobster and several steaks are goung to cost you several dollars more. I’m not sure if they have miller beer but if they do, they are not included with the all inclusive. Only Clill or Balaschi beers are included. The coffee shop (Puro) is included with the cost of all inclusive. Each hotel wing has got washing machines and the coin machines are right there. As far as requesting a quiet room, you can request it and usually get a quiet room unless the hotel is completely full and the quiet rooms are all taken. Most rooms are quiet though.

Definitely opt for the all inclusive! It’s well worth it! The food on resort is great-just be sure to reserve dining in advance. But they were also very helpful and accommodating with changing dining reservations.
