Such a wonderful hotel. Quiet, clean, with a very nice staff and excellent food. The beach is the best of the island and despite that not crowded at all. In one word: paradise. We were here for 4 days celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary. Ideal. Excellent cook. The chef comes from Stuttgart but has worked in top Swiss restaurants and since 7 years here. Excellent cuisine, including Japanese food ! Wonderful. Best place in Aruba. For sure.

We spent a week at Manchebo over the holidays and it was amazing. The beach and water are pristine, the resort is peaceful and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Daily morning yoga with a stunning view and ocean breeze was a plus and the spa massages were a great treat. We made sure to be there to witness every sunset. We did the all-inclusive stay and all our meals were delicious. We will definitely be back.

Friends of ours recommended Manchebo. We were blown away. This is a special place. The beach is spectacular and very private. The three restaurants are excellent. There is a nice pool too. The staff is incredibly welcoming and helpful with everything including recommendations about every possible activity and restaurant in Aruba. The rooms are very well laid out and comfortable. We highly recommend Manchebo! The Lundys

My wife and I absolutely love this place. The staff is amazing and makes you feel like family. This is why we have and will continue to come back year after year. Though they have wifi to keep you connected, I’d rather just watch the beautiful beach and relax under the palapa. The on-site restaurants are fantastic and the beach bar serves a variety of top shelf spirits. Overall, an amazing place.

This was our first time staying at this resort and we loved it. It is a small resort with one restaurant serving breakfast and one serving lunch, dinner is served in 3 restaurants and the food in every restaurant was amazing, we loved the Chophouse we had the best waitress Philesha who made the best Caesar salad she was great!! She was so friendly and pleasant. The entire staff was friendly and accommodating.. The beach is beautiful the grounds are beautifully kept. They have Yoga in a gazebo in the beach which was great.. We did the all inclusive package which we were very happy with. (which is an option). It’s a short ride to airport. I highly recommend this resort . There is nothing to do at night except dinner and bar but you can always grab a cab for $10 right from hotel and go into town which is great and safe. We can’t wait to go back!

Manchebo is in a stunning location right on the beach. It is the perfect place for a relaxing holiday. The staff throughout the resort are the friendliest most welcoming lovely people that look after you so well. The 4 restaurants on site provide wonderful food. Highly recommend for a romantic break or if you want a wellness resort check out the spa treatments and yoga classes in the beautiful pavilion in the photo of the view from our balcony. Many thanks to all staff, on the beach, Genisis that looked after our room. Alejandra Kay and Josuel that served our food and drinks on the beach, Fabian at he bar, Doreen, Carlos, Agnes and Stephanie in the evening restaurants and Cynthia and all the breakfast ladies. You all do a wonderful job

I came here with my 84 year old mother for 12 days and we wish we could stay forever! Not only is the resort beautiful in every way, the entire staff treats us like family, all they want to do is provide you with the best service and take care of you. We fell in love with all of them, we know their names, they know ours! We want for nothing! There is not one bad comment I personally could make about this resort. It’s the perfect size, convenience to the three restaurants and pool were just yards away from each other and from our room. The beach is gorgeous, very wide and plenty of palapas to use on the beach. There is no having to get up at 5am and reserve with a towel, there is plenty for everyone to enjoy. There is a trolly to get you across the road to the casino and some shops and restaurants. My mother has some ailments that wouldn’t allow her to get on a tour bus, so the Front desk called their BEST guy Ray ( who was born here in Aruba) to drive us around on a private tour for three hours ( $50/hr), we split the cost therefore it was only $75. We became instant friends with Ray, we have exchanged phone numbers. He knew I have a love for dogs so he took us by his lovely house so I could meet his fur baby! We are so Very sad to leave here today, Thank you Manchebo Family for providing us with top notch service and a whole lot of 💗 love!

I do my reviews by detailed categories, so skip to the portions that mean the most to you. Here is my unbiased review at Manchebo Beach Resort as a first time visitor. I say "unbiased" because this hotel gets A LOT of repeat guests who treat the resort as a home and the staff like family. They probably see their stay through rose colored glasses a bit, so as a first timer, it's easy for me to be honest. Room: We had a ground floor "ocean view" room. I would say that calling it "ocean view" is a bit of a stretch. The beach palapas and resort are set back pretty far from the beach so you can see a hint of the waterline, but not a lot. Factor in the palapas, palm tress, and beach chairs, it's an obstructed, but pretty view. The only thing that made the room truly worth the price was it being a "walk out". It was convenient to just walk out our patio door and immediately be at the beach area or pool. Also, be careful of the fire ants. We had ants the entire stay on our patio. Thankfully they never got in our room, but that made walking on the patio barefoot impossible. The room itself was cute, updated, and clean. Housekeeping sprays something on the floor that makes the room smell delightful and fresh. They also provide you with your own beach cooler, which is a nice touch. I will say vanity space in the bathroom is a bit limited. I thought we had a handicap accessible room ( single sink, no storage beneath and an exposed pipe), but after looking at online pictures, I think all of the bathrooms are set up like that. Also, starting at 8:00 am every morning, the same sound pattern of a pounding noise was coming from the floor above us. I'm not sure if they were doing work or if we were below some type of machinery, but it was a bit irritating. Beach: Plenty of palapas and chairs for all. We were fortunate to constantly get seating at the front "closest" to the beach. You are pretty set back from the water though. I do understand this because when it's windy, the sand closest to the water whips around (this is common on Eagle Beach in general). Being set so far back helps avoid that so you can lounge in peace. I was under the impression the palapas at the resort were only for Manchebo guests. I was under the impression the Manchebo beach amenities were for guests only. However, on multiple occasions, people from the public attempted to set up their own beach chairs and gear right in the middle of the palapa area. The one beach attendant would on occasion tell them to move, but would point them over to set up near the side closest to Bucuti & Tara resort, but allowing them to still use a palapa meant for Manchebo guests. Pool: It's small, but very cute. Seating is limited, but we usually did not have trouble finding a spot, especially in the morning. It's also conveniently located right next to Ike's Bistro, so grabbing breakfast and a chair was easy. One thing that was slightly frustrating was again, fire ants. If you had a chair near the bushes or plants, ants were on the ground. At one point I picked my beach bag off the floor to find around 50 ants huddled up under my bag, so we moved to chairs closer to the restaurant where there were still some, but less ants. We continued to use the pool, but I never left anything on the ground again after that. The chairs were comfortable, but showed signs of wear. One of the cabana couch chairs had massive stains all over the cushions our entire stay, and some of the loungers could have used a good cleaning or be replaced. Location: Located on Eagle Beach at the "low rise hotel" area, it's actually in a great spot outside of the super bustling/touristy spots (which is why this hotel is probably so quiet at night). It's a very short taxi ride to both downtown Oranjestad and Princess Beach (hish-rise hotel area). Also, conveniently within walking distance is a casino with a small shopping/restaurant area. They have a store called "The Market" there where it was easy to walk over and grab beverages, snacks, hot sauce, medicine, etc. Staff: The front desk staff and bell services team were so incredibly friendly. They made our welcome very special, and made grabbing a taxi super easy. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about that staff. Wait staff was a hit or miss, but most were pleasant. Resort Grounds: Very pretty, and kept clean. They could benefit from a light refurbishment on some of the exterior buildings (like the pavilion) , but for the most part everything looked upkept. Vibe: I'd say the crowd is mostly 55+ with repeat guests. We saw lots of hugs with staff members that guests have clearly known for years. My boyfriend and I were one of the few younger couples there (early 30's). This is definitely not a party resort, and it's very quiet and relaxing. We hardly saw anyone walking around outside past dinnertime. We went during off season, but I can imagine it's not much different during peak season. It's a very small and intimate resort, which makes everything on property super accessible and easy to get to. Spa: We did a couples deep tissue massage. I supposed this should be a separate review for Spa Del Sol, but I would say it was just an okay experience. The massage itself was very thorough. However, the staff was not very welcoming. They were running 30 minutes behind which made us late for our dinner reservation that evening, and did not communicate their process well as first timers. Pool/Beach Towels: This is a bit of a weird mention, but by the end of the trip, I still did not know what I needed to do with them or what the proper etiquette was. They provide you two beach towels in your room on your first day that you're supposed to take to the pool/beach everyday. But when you take them to wherever you set up for the day, the pool/beach attendant removes them and gives you fresh ones. Okay, cool. But then once you are done for the day and those are dirty, I was confused as to whether I was supposed to leave them behind on the chair or bring sandy damp towels back to my room. They had no towel drop off bins to place them, and leaving behind dirty towels for staff to pick up also looked like I was still claiming the chair, when I wasn't. So everyday I ended up bringing the dirty towels back. Super weird process. Pega Pega (beach bar and grill): We had lunch here and sat at the bar. Food and drinks were very good! Groupe tacos were massive. Bar staff was very friendly. When we got the bill, we noticed the menu prices of food didn't match the prices online. Each food item was $2 more. So their online menu does not reflect up-to-date pricing. No big deal as we would have had lunch there regardless, but they should probably work on getting pricing consistent across sources. The Chophouse: We had dinner here our second night. Food was very good. I had a medium-rare filet (cooked more towards the rare side, but it was still good) and my boyfriend had the pork tomahawk (also good). The Keshi Yena as an app was also delicious. I regret not getting the tableside made caesar salad since that looked delicious. Service from our waitress was slow. She would disappear at times and hardly check in on us. I think this was just an individual issue, as we saw other waitstaff be incredibly attentive to their tables. Lots of food is brought in over from Ike's Bistro, where staff has to run back and forth between the two restaurants using the main entrance doors. That was a bit interesting. Ike's Bistro: We ate here majority of the mornings for breakfast. Really good omelets and smoothies. However, the issue with the birds is a bit of a turn off. Since it's an open air restaurant (roofed), the birds hang out at the empty tables waiting for scraps of food. Bird poop was constantly running down the chairs and staff had to continuously wipe them down. The birds won't bother you while you're eating, but if you come here for breakfast, please watch where you sit! We watched a poor woman sit right on bird poop in her swim suit cover up. Overall: Would we stay here again? Absolutely. This is perfect for a relaxing getaway. We truly had a great time here despite the random quirks and oddities. I can see why guests frequent this location year after year as it has a lot to offer for a small property.
