I heard Hyatt hotel is one of the best hotels in Aruba. The trip is amazing, hotel is good. Only I attempted to access the pool with my 12 years old daughter , but was informed that I did not have a reservation and could not receive a towel. Despite there being many empty seats available, I was unable to use the pool or receive the services that I paid for, but if that’s the rule, ok we will follow. The next day I went to the ocean seats, this time I have 9am to 6 pm reservation, I arrived at noon time, I was told I should have notified the earlier if I want to keep the seats, they gave it to others. Finally they find me other seats. The rule is different with the pool seats. I would be happy if the pool staff gave me seats. The pool experience was frustrating and left a negative impression of my stay at Hyatt.…
Our third stay here in Aruba. Our last stay was at The Ritz, and after that I said I'd never return to Aruba. We returned this March because the seaweed problem in Mexico wasn't worth the trip. I had no expectations upon arrival except hopeful for good weather. From check in to departure we had the most wonderful time at the Hyatt Regency Aruba. I figured when we stayed at The Ritz I had seen the best the island had to offer, and I was not impressed in the least. The Hyatt is first and foremost, a beautiful resort. Tropical and elegant, compared to the cold, sterileness, of The Ritz. Grounds were immaculate, pools spotless, hot tubs clean and well heated. All the beach and pool staff were beyond perfection. I never once had to seek out anyone for a chair, or spot in any area. As soon as I got to the pool or beach an attendant was coming to me asking what my needs were for the day. The main pools and adult pools have brand new seating and tons of them. The round couches by the adult pool were a great way to close out a day and watch the sunset. Beach was superb and lots of space. We are sun lovers so we never used the palapas but there were many available. Loved all the bars, especially the juice bar for our morning drinks. The coffee shop has bagels, waffles and goodies for the beach, all moderately priced. Our room, king studio, was spotless and the staff was there to make it up every day at the exact same time. The mini fridge was a plus for my drinks and water. There was live music every day at one of the bars, and nightly DJ at the upper bar. I really can't believe how perfect this place is run; the management and staff do a fantastic job. We stay frequently in Turks and Caicos and have never had such great service. I'm delighted to give the Hyatt 5 huge stars. We will be returning for sure. You renewed our love for this fantastic island. One note for anyone concerned about the wind. When we were there the winds were moderate gale, 30-35 mph for a few days. The way the resort is positioned we never had an issue with wind and my wife hates wind. When we walked every morning we could see how certain resorts, The Rui especially, were getting crazy winds. The Hyatt was serene and peaceful..…
The place was beautiful, clean, the location was amazing, and the staff was extremely nice. That’s the good. Now the bad. The shower towels are thin and cheap, like you’d expect at a Holiday Inn. Same for the toilet paper. The pillows deflate as soon as you lay your head on them. The wifi was slow and spotty. You can hear every thump of every footstep above you. And they play dance music outside til all hours of the night. Overall it was not a resort experience.
The hotel looks lovely, great pools, lovely open lobby. However, don’t waste your money on a ‘sea-view suite’ over 1700 per night. We stayed at this hotel two nights after staying at the Marriott sea view suite - which was amazing. Hyatt’s definition of sea view is more if you lean out one window, you can see the sea. Otherwise you look over Aruba. The balcony is a sliding door open to a space you cannot stand out on. (Really just allows you to open a door to the outside). The lounge with the suite is hardly open, offers minimal food during small times, alcohol is restricted to one period of time during the day snd is only beer and white or red wine. The food at the hotel was awful. Awful. The worst part…our sea view suite was right over the Hyatt bar, which is right next to the hotel. Although we were on the top floor (room 923), the voices carry into the room until 1am…so loud that you can hear conversations. The acoustics carry right into the room and kept us up all night. Very disappointed in this stay and would not recommend the suite as an experience. …
The resort was beautiful and the staff was kind, helpful and attentive. Being pregnant I was pleasantly surprised with the non-alcoholic drink menu/options. The food menu(s) within the resort could have been a bit more robust, but everything we had was great. Loved how close other bars/restaurants were - everything was within walking distance! Overall great experience- will be back!
Highly recommend the Hyatt Regency aruba with kids or as couples. Kids pool area and slide are nice and lot of water activities available right out front like boat excursions etc. Adult only side pool very nice. Beach powdery soft. Several food options walkable to hotel. Rooms clean, staff nice. Make sure to go online to reserve palapas and pool umbrellas before you get there on their website-they get booked up!
The resort itself was beautiful, and my husband and I very much enjoyed our stay. For as nice of a resort it was, there was a price tag on any and every thing. You would think after paying a premium price to stay at the resort that they wouldn't be killing you over prices on every service/food/drink offered. Please see below on our pros and cons on the resort. The pros: - beautiful beachfront resort - prime location - friendly staff - very clean indoors and outdoors - nice spacious room The cons: - FEES!! You will find a fee for everything including beach chairs, room service delivery, service charges for every drink and food order, etc. - very hard to find a good spot on the beach - food is very expensive for average quality As much as we liked staying at the Hyatt in Aruba, we probably will end up exploring other resorts to stay at next time we visit the country.…
I’m picky and this was a fantastic stay - Minor things i’d adjust and they don’t really let you check in prior to 4 as it wasn’t ready i wish that could have happened however it didn’t stop me from enjoying and i know the check in policy so it’s understandable. Delightful staff and the bellhop was fantastic at cab ordering and attentiveness
Hyatt Regency Resort has an exceptional staff. Welcoming and helpful! From the coffee shop to the casino! We had the most wonderful experience every night at the lobby bar with Oriana as our bartender. Her smile was contagious and her cocktails were right on!
The hotel is gorgeous, staff are friendly, super clean, and won big at the Casino! Would recommend to anyone even with small children. There were things for kids to do and keep them occupied and seemed so safe.
