Wonderful hotel and staff with lots of Covid-19 safety measures in place. The grounds, room and pools were very clean. Best spot on Eagle Beach! No waves, no rocks or shells. Just perfect white sand and crystal clear water. Isabelo worked hard to get everyone set up with their own chairs and covered cabana (plenty for everyone at resort). The staff was friendly, upbeat and everyone went above and beyond to make sure you were having a great experience. I recommend calling the concierge to find out if certain restaurants you want to eat at are open - as some remain closed because of Covid-19. They will make the reservation for you, too! Highly recommend - will be back again!

Even during tough times (COVID-19), the staff is committed to making everyone's stay enjoyable. Giovanni, at the family pool bar, makes great premium Pina Coladas. The staff at the adult pool are very attentive and personable as well.

Just arrived home from this resort and my list of pros are the basics; great beach, friendly staff, clean rooms, fun casino etc. The negative is giant and overshadows the pros. Upon checking into our room ( the first of 3 in 24 hours) there was no air conditioning working. So we were moved to the second non working air conditioning room. The third room toilet whistled for 20/25 minutes after flushing it. Which is super fun when you get up into the middle of the night to the sweet tunes of whistling toilet. We were moved to a suite for our troubles on the last day of our holiday ( it wasn’t available earlier ) We extended our stay by 3 days and the front desk kept us in the room ( we had been there 5 days already). There was never a mention that the room rate for those THREE days would be THREE TIMES the cost we paid for the whistling no air conditioned rooms. I’ve asked to speak to the manager for two days now and always told someone will get back to me. Ironically while we were on the beach the last day we heard another guest saying this same over charge fee for another night added. Will update when / if manager gets back to me.

We had an amazing time at the Marriott Stellaris. The property is very clean and followed all covid protocols. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. It is the best time to visit now as there aren’t a lot of people, we were able to walk up any time of the day and get a beach front palapa without reservation. The beach is very nice with clear water and white sand, no seaweed. We stayed in the ocean front corner junior suite and it was absolutely the best! The sunset view was breathtaking. We ate at Atardi one evening at sunset, food was very good and the view was even better. Had breakfast one day at La Vista because my status gave us free continental breakfast. It was fine but definitely wouldn’t have paid $18 otherwise. We can’t wait to return!!!

Our original honeymoon and wedding was cancelled due to COVID. So we booked two weeks here when it was more safe to do so and protocols were in place. We are Marriott Bonvoy Elite members and this year alone for business have stayed over 30 times in various Marriott hotels. We chose this particular hotel against the other options such as Bucati and Tara or the other chains so we could get our points. However this hotel does a poor job of integrating being a resort for couples AND families. When we booked our stay and flights here we specifically asked about the one happy honeymoon amenities offered by participating hotels on the island. The bonvoy agent said that they did and that we would be eligible for the one night free on anniversary, amenities/accommodations, and gift on arrival. We specifically even emailed the guest experiences and reiterated that it was our honeymoon. When we arrived they didn’t even know it was our honeymoon. We did get upgraded to a partial ocean view but that was because of our elite status. When we asked about the honeymoon participation the first person we spoke to said they didn’t participate. The second person said they did but only a bottle of champagne nothing else. No discounts on amenities or spa or anything. And no upgraded room, which is odd because they definitely aren’t full right now. It’s a nice hotel with good options for dining, but I think it’s better for families or groups not couples and definitely not for a special occasion like an anniversary or honeymoon.
