We just came back from our 11th stay at this fabulous property. It is our Home away from Home. We obviously love it here which is why we keep coming back. Once we get out of the taxi and are escorted to the private check in at the Tradewinds Lounge, the fun begins. We are greeted by the excellent Tradewinds staff which includes Margaret, Jackie and Josephine. We hug and catch up. These ladies have worked here for a long time which is a testament to the Marriott. Loyalty is important. Verna Dijkoff came to welcome us. Verna is such an asset to this Hotel. Not just in the Tradewinds. Verna helps assure that all guests needs are met. The Tradewinds Section of the beach which is Adults Only was manned by Enrique and Paul. Sylvia was on vacation but we did get to see her our last day . They are very hardworking . The food and drink offerings in the Tradewinds are very good. The Marriott is a lovely property throughout . The beach is gorgeous with beautiful white sand. We typically rent a Cabana at the Adult Pool for 2 of our 10 days here. We enjoy the entertainment in the Lobby-especially Amy Soriano. The Casino is lively and we did pretty well. We get a Players Card and insert it in the Slot Machines and earn points which convert into dollars off the bill at checkout. We are already dreaming of next year’s trip. Kudos and Masha Danki…
The hotel needs professionally trained staff. Too expensive for everything inside the hotel, such as coffee, breakfast, or anything you buy at the coffee shop. Breakfast is a joke for the value you pay and what you get. No amenities in the hotel. The staff has a do not care attitude. If you are a status member of the hotel chain this is the only property do not upgrade.
We had been at the Stellaris from February 1-10 and we had a wonderful stay. The staff out at the pool and the beach were wonderful. Mergy was AMAZING day after day. She made us feel so welcome, and remembered our names every. Single. Day! Not a day went by (except on her days off) that we didn’t go out of our way to see her, and vice-versa. She works so hard, and always has that inviting smile and infectious laugh! We will be back in February 24’ for 3 weeks and can’t wait to see the staff again. Especially Mergy.
We enjoyed our stay here with the Tradewinds upgrade. I’ve stayed in the low rise section of Aruba in the past and this was my first stay in the high rise section. The palapas were easy to reserve via the app. The food selection in the Tradewinds lounge was perfect for us. Josephine was very helpful in the Tradewinds club. I gave this a 4/5 as there was a key/door lock upgrade that happened during our stay which did not go as smoothly as intended, my husband was going back and forth about 5 times to the desk and eventually front desk, and later back to the Tradewinds desk to get the keys to work again for the rooms and the lounge.
Close to airport, Tradewinds adults only floor at the Marriott has beautiful ocean view rooms. Huts on the far right of beach are reserved for tradewinds guests. There is also an adults only pool with cabanas for rent. Great lobby bar with amazing drinks and sushi.
We attended for an incentive trip. The staff at Marriott was phenomenal. Nelson and John at the beach was excellent. Liz made the absolute best omelets and was so very nice to speak to. Our room service attendants were great!
The Marriott Resort in Aruba is very beautiful. The people who work there are extremely welcoming, kind and caring. Ludwig Croes was especially helpful in making restaurant reservations for us and giving us advice about everything we needed to know about visiting the island. The rooms were cleaned daily. Beds very comfortable; accommodations, excellent. We had a most pleasant and memorable vacation and can't wait to return in 2024. Highly recommend staying at the Marriott Resort to anyone wanting to vacation in Aruba.
Hotel staff very friendly & helpful. Tradewinds Club F&B excellent for variety offered & availability from 7am-9pm. Josephine was great as our concierge. Governor Suite balcony had too much afternoon sun--get a shaded balcony if you like to sit outside in the afternoon. Hotel caters to large groups so you may see large dinner groups on the beach. We enjoyed the musical entertainment. Beaches are clean so a walk along the beach was always enjoyable.
The pictures on the hotel website don’t do this property justice as it is much prettier in person. The rooms are large, clean, and comfortable. Big balconies. Comfortable beds. Large closet and bathroom. The beach is gorgeous, and the beach service is wonderful. If you want or need shade, reserve your beach palapas as soon as you arrive to the hotel. $35 a day with up to 4 chairs although I saw many people place more than 4 chairs under an umbrella. Although some people may not like paying for a palapa, reserving and paying is better than wandering around looking for one or having to get up at the break of dawn to claim your spot. If you just want a chair, you do not need to pay. The lobby bar can get crowded in the evening making it difficult to get a spot or drink. The hotel has a great location with a short walk to many beachside restaurants or the “downtown” tourist area with many restaurants and lots of shopping. Pleasant stay.…
Wonderful experience! I plan to return in the future! Clean facilities, friendly and kind staff -who are always ready to help. The locals were all amazing! I would bring my children to this island for vacation.
