My experience with the Marriott Aruba was unfortunately very bad. Restrooms in the public areas are very dirty . I complained about this but nothing happens. The breakfast area is being attacked by birds . They are steeling the food from your plate. Not very hygienic. For lunch we ordered pizza’s , after waiting for 1 hour they came but burned…. After complaints again have to wait for 1 hour … On the beach you have to pay 30 dollars for the umbrella…. So this Marriott hotel is absolutely not recommended by me

We love this hotel. This is our third visit and all times we’ve stayed at Tradewinds. Everyone is helpful and friendly. We loved the employees in the Tradewinds’ lounge and Hermina at the palapas outside. Because of Covid, things have changed at Tradewinds, but they still take care of you! We did have one issue with the air conditioner, that was fixed promptly and correctly. Covid testing to go back home was conveniently located and hand sanitizer stations are everywhere. We make this a yearly tradition, and can’t wait to visit again. If you stay at this hotel and have a problem, they will do whatever it takes to fix it for you.

This was our first trip to Aruba to celebrate our 30th Anniversary. I booked this with Bonvoy Points and had a certificate for a suite upgrade. We got upgraded to a ocean view premium room. Our room was wonderful with an amazing view. We dined at Atardi, Ruth Chris and La Vista. Every meal we had was fantastic. We were pleasantly surprised with housekeeping. They had our room clean within an hour of us leaving our room in the morning and did a great job. The casino was clean and smokeless and nicest in the area. We felt very safe and everyone we engaged with was top notch. We also got a 10% discount on food and coffee since we were Bonvoy members. It took us 30 years to make it here and the Stellaras made it worth the wait.

We stayed for 5 nights at the Marriott we had 3 rooms one room was on the 8th floor at the exclusive Tradewinds club. Our first attempt we were given a room facing the parking lot with a far off ocean view so we asked to switch and got a room overlooking pool and you could only see the ocean from the balcony. My kids room on the the 3rd floor 328 and 329 had the best views in the building. As you enter the door you see unobstructed ocean views. You are suppose to have extra perks to Tradewinds such as access to a room on the first floor (nice cafeteria) with water soda beer that you can take outside but due to covid there was not food out to get yourself. For breakfast you had to go into the main buffet and wait on the lines with everyone who didn’t pay for the upgrade. Lunch you could order the option of the day a small sandwich but limited choices that were not very good. Booze from 6-9 when most people are out to dinner. You also get a small area of the beach that palapas are just for the Tradewinds. You can only get the ones in the back near the restaurant and worker huts with no view of the ocean. The front is reserved for Govenors suite and they were empty everyday we were there. The woman on the beach was very rude and yelled at us if we tried to get chairs ourselves or move them into shade. The other side of the beach which was NOT Tradewinds we were able to sit in the front and see the ocean and the staff there were great. Our dresser was broke and the drawer fronts fell off we called them to let them know but no one ever came. Bathroom lights went out twice after being fixed they just stayed dim the whole time. Even just A bottle of water in your room would have been appreciated for the extra thousand dollars we paid. Having my family in the regular room and myself in the Tradewinds is became very clear that the only benefit was some waters and drinks by the pool during the day which I could have purchased for a lot less money. Save your money!!!

Dear Kelly D - Thank you for taking time to share this detailed review. I am very sorry to read that the Tradewinds Club experience did not meet your expectations. Your feedback about the food and the variety is well noted, as well as the shortfalls of the room and beach service. Rest assured this is not representative of the high standards we strive for our guest to experience. We will review these concerns with our leadership team in order to improve. I sincerely hope you give us another opportunity to host you in the future. Warm Regards, Leslie Prea - Hotel Manager.

We just spent five wonderful days in Aruba at the Marriott Stellaris. On our prevous trip we stayed in the capital so this was a different experience. The hotel and grounds were beautiful. We used the family pool which was more lively and children were not a problem. We, and the iguanas, loved it. Always a few seats vacant. Beach looked great but we prefer the pool. The food was good...not exceptional... but good. Did not need a huge buffet for breakfast so we ate at Starbucks in the foyer. I'm sre Ruth Chris was great, but $65 an entree is not for us. The other restaurant was good, but still rather too much food for us. Not glamorous, BTW. We spent our very pleasant evenings at the bar in the foyer. Sushi but you dont have have that. Next time not sure where will stay.a

Dear Annette - thank you for your review. I'm glad to know that you had a wonderful vacation and enjoyed the amenities. I noticed you mentioned that we don't have sushi, but we actually do have sushi on the menu at The Lobby. I hope you can visit us again and try it out. It is really good. Looking forward to hosting you in the near future.
