We stayed here a week in May of 2022. Great and kind hostess. Really helpful and she made our stay super! It’s a quite area and really close to everywhere you want to be. Private parking for your rental car. We were given a free upgrade to a better room. It was no problem at all. They are doing everything for you so you can have a nice stay. Also great information of the island by the hostess! If you want to book here I would suggest to pick the rooms with pool view. There just a little bit better, more private. Just a little bit more of everything. Would recommend this to everyone who would like to have an awesome stay at this beautiful island!! Really deserves 5 star rating!

We stayed here for a month for a workation. There are some pros and cons. Pros: Friendly and hospitable staff Very peaceful environment Laundry on premises A lot of butterflies, flowers and iguanas on the property Walking distance to Surfside beach Wifi was good Cons: Apartment did not look like the photos and was old and needed a refresher very badly MOSQUITOES were horrible!!! Pool’s waterfall was more like a trickle and I had to ask to clean the pool a couple of times Apartment did not have the basics like dishwashing liquid or body wash and shampoo or beach chairs The bedrooms did not have doors and very steep stairs (my daughter actually fell down the stairs at one point) Overall, I liked that this place was off the beaten path and not very crowded. I liked the shallow beach with tropical fish and no crowds. Mosquitoes ruined the stay for me though. The property has to do something about that. It was just at Camacuri because we traveled around the island and it was fine. Photos need to match what you are getting too. If they would take care of those major problems, I’d consider staying there again.

This is an older property but so nice. Manager and front desk people friendly and professional! Accommodating in every way. The cleaning staff did an impeccable job. Nice pool and nice weather the entire time I was there (27 days). I'm ready to come back for the winter next year!

I truly enjoyed my stay here! For my 40th birthday, I just wanted to leave cold Baltimore and go some where warm and relax. Camacuri was perfect! My 5 year old son and I arrived on a Monday stayed until Saturday. The one bedroom deluxe was perfect. It was spacious and clean. The property was cozy enough where my son could ride his scooter around the area safely. There wasn’t any over crowding or “action” going on. My son enjoyed his mornings on the patio doing his school work and just feet away was the pool for him to enjoy afterwards. Just a quiet relaxing oasis. Once we were ready to travel outside of the property there was plentiful parking spots to park. I definitely look forward to returning back to this property in the near future.

Arrived in Aruba we we’re tired from the airplane flight. The guy behind the counter was very nice. He told us every thing we needed. He also gave us tips and warned us for the thing we had to keep a closer look at. Walking to our apartment (we called it our small home, because it was like a home: we had everything we needed right there), there was a green tropical garden with a nice pool area. Everything was very much at ease. We also had a private parking for the car. The cleaning ladies, who come every day were super friendly. Everything top notch. We would like to have stayed longer.

It is quite with a nice pool and staying area. The room has a good space for 3 people. The problems are: there was mould behind the bathroom door; there wasn’t an extraction fan in the bathroom, so it was very humid; the second deck air conditioning didn’t work, I complained, they said they would solve, but they didn’t; The internet occasionally worked, I also complained and they said the problem was with the carrier, but the problem lasted the whole week; there is a window on the roof, so I woke up everyday with sunrise.

We stayed in camacuri apartments for two weeks. Overall i would give the place high grade. Here are some of the best parts: - the rooms are spacious (we had two rooms: kitchen/living room and Bedroom). You can also cook your own meals - Our price included air conditioning and safe box (not always included when traveling in europe) - There is a very nice (smaller) pool and the pool area looks like a green oasis - The staff is very friendly and we felt welcome - There is a supermarket nearby (near the stadium, in the other corner of stadium) - There is a beautiful small beach (surfside beach) just 5-10 minutes walk - You can get all kind of extra things from the staff: hair dryer, toaster, beach towels. They cost some extra but for example we did not pay anything for hair dryer - The internet did not cost anything extra and it worked very well the whole trip Here are some things which you should take to note: - its not in the high rise hotel area (this was plus for us because we wanted to see the local living) - It's a bit far away, again we did not mind because we like walking and seeing places. But if you are not into walking you will need a car (or you can take a bus which goes to centre on the same street where the supermarket is located, local busses are 2.60 dollars). From centre you can take an other bus to high rise area. If you walk to centre its around 20 minutes time, we walked every time. - At least some of the rooms are a bit dated, we had really old tv, and you could see the time in walls and other interior. But i am sure that the rooms would be excelent with just some paint job. And the best part: the lizards and iguanas! I have not been that fond of lizards before this trip but now we are planning to get one! They are a bit scared of you but once you feed them some watermelon you will be their best friend. Those blue lizards we the cutest ones, chubby little things- always wanting more watermelon. To sum up, it's not a five star hotel and it should not be- but it's the place for you who want to truly relax and experience the true Aruba. Will definitely stay again here when coming back to aruba.

Camacuri is an appartment complex nearby Surfside beach and nearby Oranjestad, capital city of Aruba. The appartments itself are basic but everything you need is available. All is more than clean and the owners are taking good care of the environment (think green). The atmosphere is relaxt and serene. Renting a car is recommended when you want to buy groceries at the Jumbo (supermarket),approx. 7km drive or want to explore the island. The Jumbo is located in a huge shopping mall, named Super Foods. When going to the beach, Baby beach is like being in paradise, this is also a beautiful spot to go snorkling. For us a 10 day trip to the island was more than sufficient to explore the main sites and to relax at the beach or pool of Camacuri. Aruba is not the cheapest destination but a worth wile experience. We do recommend Camacuri when you are not seeking for luxury but just a relaxing and enjoyable vacation.
