We stayed 10 days at Aruba Surfside Marina for our 25 wedding anniversary and they made us feel very special. We absolutely loved our stay here and would definitely come back again!!!!!!!! They did have 2 events in the courtyard while we were there but for us it wasn't an issue. When we went to bed we closed our bedroom door and it wasn't too loud and I had no problems sleeping but it was pretty loud in the living room but again not an issue for us. The beach out front is beautiful and not crowded at all and the sunsets were amazing. There are no chairs out on the beach but you can take the lounge chairs out there, it would be nice if they had some light weight chairs that you could take onto the beach to enjoy the sunsets but we hauled out the lounge chairs for us. Our room was clean and spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Having a microwave and a full size fridge was great!! Even had a small ice maker in the freezer that I made good use of. A/C worked very well and kept our room cool.…
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel on the beach. the room was comfortable with a great view. They served us a delicious breakfast daily. We were within walking distance of 5 restaurants of various prices and could walk downtown. It was close to the airport and with our rental car, we had access to the whole island. Highly recommended
What is not to love about Surfside Aruba? By far the best place to stay in all of Aruba. All of the other hotels we saw during our trip had the sterility of an airport, but this place was incredibly tasteful and truly cared about their customers. Every morning we enjoyed a delicious breakfast on our private balcony overlooking the beautiful beach and ocean. The room was gorgeous and much larger than we had expected, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and the decor was tasteful. The hotel is on one of the most gorgeous beaches and the hotel provides beach chairs for free. The associated restaurant, on the ocean, had the most stunning views and was the best meal we had on our whole trip. Best of all was the gracious and accommodating staff.
This place just exceeded all my expectations. Great location right on a beach with few people, and tree shade too (which is rare at most beaches in Aruba). Nice breakfast served on your balcony is such a luxury. The place has only 5 rooms, two 1-bedroom suites and three studios (no full kitchen, just sink, microwave, coffee maker, and big fridge), all on the second floor (Europeans might call it "first" floor), all have a spacious shared balcony and westward views of the courtyard and water. All the rooms are nice, with comfy bed, aircon and safe. Some have connecting doors. The larger 1-bedroom is the best with a huge living room and the most private part of the balcony. We had the smaller 1-bedroom at the opposite end near the stairs so the least private but not a big deal (most guest don't use the balcony entrance to go up and down, just the staff walking by in the morning serving breakfast). WiFi is excellent (good connection on the balcony too). The place is usually fully booked so you probably won't have much choice on the room type - but they are basically all nice. Office is not always open - staff seem to be only here in the morning or when expecting a check in. Note since this is only 2 km from the airport there will be plane noises especially if you are out on the balcony. Louder on takeoff (but you don't see them as they head east), incomings all pass in front of the hotel over the water and are less noisy and fun to watch (this also means that on arrival you get a good view of the island only on the left hand side of the plane). Mornings and evenings are pretty quiet as most flights are midday. Also a bit of traffic noise from the road on the other side (loud motor cycles in particular). Overall the sound insulation of the room is pretty good. Downtown Oranjestad about 1 km away and an easy walk. You'll find some small convenience/food stores there as well as many restaurants. Closest restaurant is Pinchos right off the beach on the pier. 5 min walk on the beach towards the airport to Reflexions and Barefoot restaurants. West Deck (same owner as Pinchos) is half way to downtown. We tried all except Barefoot (couldn't get a last min reservation) and they were all good. If you book a tour and they don't offer pick up at Surfside (De Palms for instance), you can always get picked up at Talk of the Town hotel on the other side of the street. That's also near where the big color block Aruba sign is - good for a photo op!…
We stayed at Aruba Surfside Marina for 4 nights in April 2019. The room was on the first floor with sea view from the balcony. We had a very nice time here an enjoyed the quite place with the nice small beach in front of the hotel. The room had a nice big bed and enough space with an open closet. The breakfast (Toast, salad, cheese, fruits, joghurt, cake, orange juice, coffe) was served every morning on the balcony at the agreed time (between 7-10 am possible) and was absolutely fine for us. Parking is free and easy in front of the hotel. We had a good time here and would absolutely come back.
Wonderful spot for sunsets and quiet walks on the beach. In contrast to high rise area, there are trees and few people on the beach. Breakfast served on the terrace is beautiful. Less than five minutes from the airport.
Far away from the hotels this is the perfect place to stay. Each studio faces the beach and has a terrace with eating area. A lovely breakfast is served there every morning. Since the owners are local they are a great resource for activities. It's our second visit but definitely not our last
This hotel is situated perfectly on a quiet, beautiful beach away from the cruise ships and all the high rise hotels with their beaches packed with people. It was lovely to be able to walk on a gorgeous beach from the hotel door and watch the sunset from our room and balcony facing the beach. The staff were friendly, helpful and did their best with our issues. The room was very clean. We liked the full size fridge and kitchen sink (so that we didn't have to wash dishes in the bathroom sink). However, there were some serious issues that caused us to have to cut our 5 day reservation short after 2 nights and find another place to stay on Aruba. There was no hot water which was unacceptable to us. The air conditioner was satisfactory only if one sat directly under it making it very difficult to sleep in the heat. Lastly, the toilet was not working when we first arrived. A worker got it going but only temporarily. The staff got it working better 29 hours after we checked into the hotel but we never trusted it. We were disappointed to have to leave this beautiful, quiet and private location but these 3 issues with the room were unacceptable. I was not able to take a shower or to comfortably use the bathroom and it was too hot especially at night when trying to sleep. There is no swimming pool but that was not a detraction for us and we knew that about this hotel before booking.…
Such a nice quiet stay away from the tourists and large resorts. It’s conveniently located with about 3 minute drive into downtown. Also only about 5 minutes from the airport. The beach is small and quiet. The breakfast was the perfect amount and so relaxing out on the balcony each morning. We felt like locals staying here, the staff was so welcoming and we will definitely be returning. Thank you for a relaxing week!
Such a charming place to stay and nice to be away from the typical tourist resorts. The apartment was lovely and clean and had an amazing view of Surfside beach and sunset. Breakfast on the balcony is a nice touch and they can work around allergens, my partner is coeliac and they made sure he had gluten free wraps and crackers to go with the cold meats they serve. Staff were always polite and welcoming my only negative was the wifi which was a bit hit and miss in the apartment however with so many beautiful places to explore in Aruba, wifi isn't truly needed.
